• I feel the need to ask, is there any hope of a neo metal Sonic from Sonic Heroes? That ragdoll is pretty awesome and would be a awesome addition to the many Sonic ragdolls.
 • Just thought I'd ask, would any of you making custom models and edits consider doing the characters in this style? Sort of an amalgamation of the classic and modern styles, my personal favorite design overall. You get your classic body and head so he doesn't look emaciated, but with the modern design's larger hands and feet and longer limbs (and I guess his modern face as well to a certain extent).

 • Dreamcast sonic doesnt look like that at all. its just modern soni. now but with less polygons. And that hybrid design looks fantastic.
 •
So basiclly Dreamcast Sonic
Deamcast sonic was essentially modern sonic with better voiceacting and metallic shaders. That is a very neat concept with it having the physical shape and model of classic sonic, however textured like the modern one. I propose we do this immediately! (and the reverse as well once modern sonic is finished). Also I'm back.

I like it because, again, he looks like he's actually healthy rather than some kind of stick figure.

So if we were make this model, we would have to put Classic's head on modern's body, Shorten modern a little bit and fuse the two shoes of both modern & Classic? I'll make a ideal model tommorow after school & homework.

 •
He was only shown in pre-rendered cutscenes, there's only a model of his dragon form.
Which means someone has to provide picture references of him so an accurate model can be made

 • Well, there's the Sonic Adventure DX Pc hacks. That we never use. Outside of different Chaos Forms, and E102 Gamma on gmod.org
 •
Any news on the modern Generations models?
As much as I appreciate the work done by Apoc, I'd too like to see the modern models as well. Unleashed Sonic has some funky face posing and it would be nice to have that mirrored mouth option as well.
 • I do plan on porting the modern characters as well, but I figured I'd do Sonic, Tails and Amy last because we already have pretty good models of them already. But if you guys want 'em enough I can do 'em sooner. I will tell you that I am working on a modern character right now, since I saw the current one we had of him and decided that we need a better one.

[t]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v336/RandomTalkingBush/SonicUnlEVRender.png[/t] [t]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v336/RandomTalkingBush/SonicGenEVRender.png[/t] Unleashed Sonic on the left, Generations Sonic on the right. Best if you open them both up in separate tabs to compare 'em.
 • That's interesting, the socks appear to be higher poly in the generations model, the shoes seem to have at least the most noticable drop in polycount.

 • After toying with the classic models, I have to point out at least one issue that I think should be adjusted. Eggman's shoulders seem to hang pretty low with the default limits he has. It leaves this big space between the shoulder and cape-collar that looks rather...gihhh. Now granted, it's possible to pose the arm in order to cover it, but seeing as it's so easy to come across when just standing him upright, it's a nagging detail. And not everyone is going to know better when posing, so it'll be there in their posed pictures. Example (claiming no ownership to this one): [thumb]http://i.cubeupload.com/zdKMSQ.png[/thumb] So yeah, that's the most pressing detail I could mention. Other little things could be construed as nitpicking. (reaction:)

(reaction:)
Wish I could fix it, but the only way I could do so is if I remove the physics completely from his shoulders. As it is, his shoulders have a 0 degree rotation limit but he just bypasses it completely. As you can see here:
$jointconstrain "shoulder_r" x limit 0.00 0.00 0.00 $jointconstrain "shoulder_r" y limit -00.00 00.00 0.00 $jointconstrain "shoulder_r" z limit -00.00 00.00 0.00 $jointconstrain "shoulder_l" x limit 0.00 0.00 0.00 $jointconstrain "shoulder_l" y limit -00.00 00.00 0.00 $jointconstrain "shoulder_l" z limit -00.00 00.00 0.00
Meaning the game says it shouldn't be able to rotate at all, but no matter what I do it just seems like he has no limits for 'em. However, there is one more thing I haven't tried yet, I'll see if that works.
 • Are there any plans to make the Classic Badniks and the Death Egg Robo from Generations?

 •
I'm not sure what's more shocking, the fact that Amy loves someone else, or the fact that Eggman is a fur fag.
Furry hating beside. It's actually pretty obvious that the Amy thing is the bigger surprise. I mean she's been obsessed with Sonic her entire life, and Eggman has spent over 20 years surrounded by Sonic n' friends, just half that time was enough for me. It'd be a bigger surprise if that Egg WASN'T a furry by this point.
 • Hey, on the subject of models we already have that are just as good, if not better, than the Generations ones, does the same apply for Rouge and Blaze? All I have is the Rouge from Mario and Sonic, and the Blaze that, I believe, is a rigged Brawl trophy.
 • Theres a 06 blaze one but the jacket color is off and the eyes are messed up. Theres an sa2 rouge, 06 rouge, heroes rouge and the olympics one. dont know of any others.
