The entire reason there are two folders for HL:S and Garrysmod is because Jason278 used to be a dumbass and couldn't figure anything out.

  • That's true, but hey, now all of the HL:S maps look awesome as well as the models and improved sounds. It also seemed to have fixed the gibs of the HL:S npcs. So I guess it's not that big of a mistake.

  • Open up both your Garry's mod folder and the HLDS folder. Now if you only want to get rid of the materials, simply open the Garry's mod folder in the HLDS folder and look at the materials in it. Then, look at your Garry's mod folder and remove all of the files that are the same. Same thing for models, except there may be way more. I hope you can understand that, it's really easier done than said.
  • I'm the only one who had problems with the door don't opening in the chapter when you get the long jump module? There are a Scientist and a Security Guard, the say to you they will open the door, but after the dialog finishes, nothing happens. I can select the next chapter in the menu anyways, but... I want to play the right way. That was a few months ago, now i'm going to re-try hl:s with this mod.

I've gone through all of the animations and added the proper movement fixes needed for all of them, but for some reason he just stands there in that chapter.
  • Tortoise SVN didn't download BETA and Unfinished conversion to new hands folders! Help! Also, how can i know if the hl1/variations folders were fully downloaded? Tortoise says the folder is locked when i try to use "SVN update". If i click on release lock it says it isn't locked.

  • Is there a quick way to pack a bunch of different textures on one sheet, and move the uvs aswell? Because many old GoldSrc models I see have everything separated into many tiny textures. Using 3dsmax.

  • They're PERFECT! Thank you so much! These guys were totally worth the wait! As for me, I finally managed to compile that model, got Milkshape and tried to rig it. However, I didn't know that the program cost money, so as soon as I tried to save and export, this notice came up saying to either pay for it, or lose all my saved work so there goes that. Now I'm trying to rig it with XSI but that's starting to be a pain...
  • Shotgunguy49.... I have a question for you. Why is it that when I try to use your Glock on HL1 Animation that it gives me a purple and black textures for the gloves?! It also gives me purple and black gloves for the HD Classic Shotgun. By the way, yes I do own HL2, CSS, HL:S, TF2, HL2: Episode 2, DOD:S, CS:GO, and much more.....

Honestly I don't know where that texture is because I haven't updated in so long but check around the SVN maybe you will find it. Another work around is to put the HL2 hand texture into the weapon's materials with the VMT setup properly that is.

  • Yeah... I've always noticed that. If a HL:S model is replaced and used as a npc, the hit boxes get jacked and you can only hit them on the legs or below to do damage. Only for GMOD though.
