• I guess I'm now officially announcing my Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker Project. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pics:  Four Swords. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Progress log: 1. Finished Phantom Ganon Ragdoll> Sword yet to be found, Texture problems. 2. Finished Wind Waker Link Ragdoll> Tunic needs some tweaking, Different versions needed as Face is an Image. 3. Fixed texture problem for Phantom Ganon> Never will have any more problems getting things to glow, figured it out. 4. :siren: Big achievement, after like five days, I've managed to rip, name, and catalogue every model in the Wind Waker that is even remotely interesting, check it out! :siren: 5. Tetra's rigging is finished and in game. Phantom Ganon's Sword was also ported. Pics above. 6. Aryll Is Done and in game, along with a beautifully shiny Mirror Shield> I can not finish my Master Sword until i find that last texture. 7. Hero's Shield and Sword ported, no big deal. 8. Tingle Ragdoll finished> Still need sword texture, also exceeded bandwidth for um is it monthly? Anyways, the pictures should return... eventually. 9. Reskinned Tingle for his 2 brothers, yup, 2 brothers, David Jr. In the white has no real relation... 10. Link in his P.J.'s finished. 11. Orca Ragdoll + spear prop finished. 12. Grandma ragdoll finished. 13. Rose ragdoll finished, also big black pig prop whipped up> Shading now looks much cleaner because ??UnKnOwN?? reminded me to use "$halflambert" 1, which i thought just improved the lighting on darker models, but i was wrong. So thanks!. 14. :siren: BIG UPDATE: Joel and his stick: Complete. Zill ragdoll: Complete. Sue-Belle radoll: Complete. Sturgeon and his stick: Complete. Breakable pot: Complete  The entire population of Outset isle is now complete!> Many errors on other models now fixed, look at the new post. Everything re-organized to minimize errors. Weapons and other sharp objects now stick into walls! 15. Back to work! Almost all my models i lost have been fixed, and i re-skinned some four-swords links for fun! Check back for updates! 16. This project is still on Hiatus for the moment. I thought up a way to get Eye posing working on characters with 2d faces though, so there's some good news. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And that's that, updates should be often, especially if you consider that school ended today! WOO! I'M A SOPHOMORE!
  • Can you make link cellshaded? Caue that would make this even more awesome =D
  •
WOO! I'M A SOPHOMORE!
WOO! I'M A COLLEGE FRESHMAN!

  •
WOO! I'M A COLLEGE FRESHMAN!
I also skipped the 4th grade, I'm only 14. But because of that i won't be able to drive till March of my Junior year... Everything i hear about college sounds like total suck. :argh: Edit:
Can you make link cellshaded? Cause that would make this even more awesome =D
I wish i could... Oh so much... People say that Garry was trying it out, i looked it up, all he did was put black lines around everything to look like a cartoon, no actual "cell" shading involved. What i need is the 2 part shading the WW uses, half of the model is light, half is dark, no shading in between. If someone could figure out how to do that... well my project would be much more accurate. Edit: My air conditioner broke, I'm going to a friends house, no updates today. How am i supposed to work when it's 90 degrees in my room!?
  • Sweet moses! You ought to do this! You're bound to! Edit: How do you rip models from GC? :comeback: Edit: Cough*
  • remember: default skeleton haunts your dreams. re-rigging zant was a pain in the ass, because he's like 15 feet tall.
  • You want default skellies? Well, if you want me to do that, can you send me a 3ds file of a combine soldier? I'm too lazy to do it, and I'm not at home. I'll try to rig up any bipeds like that, but it's annoying. Edit: Why don't you just rename the leg and arm bones accordingly with valves? That way, You could have your default skeleton, but also keep my envelopes i worked on. On i side note, what does the "export to valve" tool do in gmod 9? Let's just say (metaphorically :ninja:) that i spawned outset island in gmod as an effect, looked at it's core, and used export to hammer. A green box then appeared around this "metiphorically" large model. But where can i find the exported model? If that tool does what i think it does, i want to make outset into a map!
  • renaming the bones would work, but the model would be stretched to fit the animations.
  • Not for me. Your computer must have messed up or something I don't know. Or you just can't see it.
  • The craziest thing ever would be twilight princess Link model but cel shaded texture heheh. I wonder if Nintendo ever had a concept like that when they were choosing graphical styles before WW. Shading on Link in that pic looks really good, given the setting is so different from WW. The part of wind waker I thought was most creative was that ghost ship you had to find in the particular area at night. That was a concept i'd like to see again, in future Zelda, that will hopefully also have sailing and large ocean/ lake portions. I mean console zelda, not phantom hourglass. Though I prefer the non cel shaded Zelda style, I have to admit I really liked many of the nautical aspects of wind waker, such as the giant tempests that would come at sea and make the ganondorf theme play :D Always makes me wonder what a "realistic" zelda with an important sailing theme would be like.
  • I loved that they chose to make LoZ:WW more cartoony since the nes and snes versions where cartoony :)

I'd love to see a cel-shaded Twilight Princess Link too.
I loved that they chose to make LoZ:WW more cartoony since the nes and snes versions where cartoony :)
Well, they had to be. All of the older generation games had to look cartoony. The hardware and technology just wasn't available to give us what we have now.
  •
Well, they had to be. All of the older generation games had to look cartoony. The hardware and technology just wasn't available to give us what we have now.
Exactly. Ever check out some official Nintendo art from the time of those games? They wanted you to have the most realistic feel they could, it just wasn't possible until now... On a side note, I'm trying to work out my problems with gmod 10, as soon as i saw the new Inflate tool, i just couldn't stand to not play it. I think I'll rig tetra, because she's the exact size and shape as link, i can use the same skeleton, minus the hat.
  • Looks great! I loved WW art style and the detail. At first I did not like it but once you play it you see all the detail and stuff.
  • GarrysMod hates me so much! I wanna play really bad! :argh: CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH :argh: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! :argh:

  • Maybe something wrong with your hardware? Seems the only other option to me. Maybe do a virus scan.
