•
nope but i could put one together when the usual 40k melee weapons aren't overkill enough, use a goddamn chainFIST
Oh, please do. Chainfist is bestfist.
• super fun extraordinary QUIZ TIME! WHAT XENO IS THIS??? IS IT a) A GROT b) A FARSEER c) A FIRE WARRIOR d) A SQUIG e) A SWARMLORD OR f) OTHER we give you, a loyal citizen of the Imperium of Man, a hint; it is vulnerable to BOLT ROUNDS
•
O-O TERMIES FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFOR THE WIN! Also, the Xeno is a Genestealer.
CONGRATULATIONS, citizen! you have been awarded a free sightseeing trip to... CATACHAN! contact your local Imperial Guard department for more information. have a pleasant trip, and remember that the Emperor protects!* *but a local Jungle Fighters escort won't hurt either

Thanks for that :3 Also, one thing about the termie's size: If you wish to be lore friendly, Termies are 10 feet tall. Only 2 feet taller than a normal marine. Any bigger and he may be close to the Dreadnought, which should be 20 feet tall.
•
disregard lore, acquire massive armor
Hmk.... As long as I get to see a bigger dreadie ;3 [editline]9th September 2012[/editline] *idea* the DoW2 dreadies don't have plasma cannons, twin heavy bolters, etc. just an assault cannon and a multi Melta. Is it possible to MAKE an arm slot using the hand held plasma cannon and heavy bolter from the pack?
• possibly; i'm gonna make the bodygroup weapons into props anyway so might as well try and make some additional stuff while i'm at it first i've gotta finish the grey marine tho
•
possibly; i'm gonna make the bodygroup weapons into props anyway so might as well try and make some additional stuff while i'm at it first i've gotta finish the grey marine tho
Understood :} Keep up the great work, corporal... Or Captain... Or... Whatever rank you are.
• i feel like this thread is turning into "Joazzz's 40k hacks" but whatever, have a genestealer [t]http://www.leet.cc/canopener.jpg[/t] size comparison, with the new terminator [t]http://www.leet.cc/size.jpg[/t] fuck lore get mass
• Nice. I would make the stealer a little bigger though. They're actually hella huge for their speed, esp Patricarchs and 'Lords. Might wanna up the phong exp too, just a tad.
• i'm using the shader trick that was applied to Wraith's marines, meaning i have to use a phong exponent texture that's simply a square of bright green; i can't up the exponent and yeah i thought it was a bit small too
• Btw I recommended lore mainly because things don't look strange. Termies are 10 feet tall, dreads are 20. Now, the termie is 15 or 16 feet. That's too big for the average marine, and, for fluff monsters like me, will make pictures look strange.... Buuut. That's just pic and lore-wise. Having a termie THAT big would be awesome :3

The just green one is a trick texture to get $phongalbedo tint working. (green channel is the albedo tint scale as far as I've been told)
• Yeah, if you want to tweak the exponent, just change the brightness of the red channel of that vtf. Darker means a duller shine and brighter means a sharper one. The green channel controls tinting, where black is no tint by diffuse color and white is full tint. The one included is equal $phongexponent 30 and tinting of about 75%. It gives most metallic stuff a very nice shine in source. If you want to make the phong stronger or weaker, just change the $phongboost number to higher or lower.

• You said you couldn't make it more phongy so I just decided to lay it all out on the table. Just tryin to help, broski
• Ok, I believe I stand corrected. I think that terminator IS to actual size. By comparison, he's about 11 ft. Sooo epic job on the termie :3
•
You said you couldn't make it more phongy so I just decided to lay it all out on the table. Just tryin to help, broski
sry & thx
• Here's a question.... If the termies are THAT big, how will they hold the normal weapons.... Though, I guess you could just make bigger versions for the termies... Whatever.
• they don't really use normal weapons. the only things that they hold are storm bolters and swords/hammers, everything else is attached to their armour.
•
Then again a normal space marine should be able to hold a storm bolter
yeah the marines just hold them like rifles, terminators use them like machine pistols i wanna know how a marine would deal with the thing's recoil though; the game example doesn't count because that storm bolter was wimpy
• For the unprepared marine it would be a very uncomfortable experience to say the least
•
If you still have them on hand, I'd really appreciate it.
Hm, I'm sure I've got the firewarrior and rifle lying around, I was doing caste skins for them at one point but stopped. (Yes, I know the squad leader is off, it was work in progress)
• doing new skins for them is rather easy when you've got the greyscales from the game, of course I still have them somewhere actually, plus the extra few that FoK added
• We should seriously get some the Tau up and running. Taggart the FoK Tau would be mad. You can never have enough space marines but some cool tau would be pretty sweet, especially considering the only ones available now are the really old DoW1 firewarriors (which are by now pretty shit). Also Joazzz whatever happened to those Necrons?
