How big is the baneblade compared to the fellblade?
How big is the baneblade compared to the fellblade?
They are based on the same STC. Due to the actual shape of the hull and turret, I believe that the Baneblade is the bigger of the two in general, though there are no specific designations for the Fellblade so can't say.
For reference, the Lucius and Mars pattern Baneblade are both 13.5m long, 8.4m wide and 6.3m high, with a ground clearance of 1.2m and a weight of 319 (Lucius) and 316 (Mars) tonnes.
yeah i think i made the Baneblade model slightly larger than the Fellblade
it's the Arkurian pattern though so ive no idea about its actual dimensions
Is there any fluff reason for why the Astartes don't use this in M41?
Yeah, so the Baneblade is bigger, but only by a smidge, however, the fellblade has a bigger turret.

They're difficult to produce, and they don't suit modern Space Marine combat doctrine, AFAIK.
yes, the Imperium has lost both manufacturing capability and STC copies - in no small part thanks to Horus - and the smaller scale operations conducted by the Chapters dont really warrant the deployment of superheavies, with relic Fellblades being an exception to that.
for everything else theres the Guard and their arsenal
I really like that pre-Heresy chainsword. At least now it's usable (i didn't say practical) as a stabbing weapon.
I also realized my Regicide rip actually *does* have chainsword teeth. It's just they were cleverly hidden by the alpha channel in the textures so i didn't see them.
Just thought i'd let you know, but obviously you don't need them any more.

I'm in the process of separation out the Ork parts from the Regicide models (Special thanks to Huzzel). It's a bit of a pain in the shebs to remap everything after you cut the models, but I suppose in the end it's worthwhile if the textures don't need to have all 6 of the individual model wraps.
Stuff looks great Joazzz!
Whenever you get the chance, could you send me the link to the unmarked boarding shields?
Do any of you talented people have the 3D models of stuff that looks like the old models of SPACE CRUSADE? I'm building a private copy of the game in Tabletop Simulator, I scanned my old boards but I can't 3d-Model stuff.
So I would need a flamer, a seargeant, etc. .. if you know the game.
Maybe you could export those to me without waiting for all your models because this isn't meant for Gary's mod:
Of course, this is just a nice question ... I'd be happy with the headless Terminator pictures, the rest is just cream on top :D
we can talk the headless Terminator pics later today
most of the Space Crusade era stuff has been remade in the Horus Heresy model line though. i could at least throw some weapons your way when i've made them
speaking of heresy era weapons, did you ever get round to doing the devastator variant of the reaper autocannon or is that still on the to-do list?
that along with the rest of the devastator guns - sans the heavy bolter - is still on the way
My god, all those tanks. Do they all have the joints to make them more beaten up?
these ones don't, but they will soon
Damn son, I really fancy those methal bawkses, the texture details look awesome
i said i wouldn't make this because i thought it would be a task much too difficult, but apparently it isn't, so fuck it, it's coming now and it's going to ram a Land Raider up your ass
i've decided that i won't make the Stormtalon gunship, however. and who the fuck needs that flying potato anyway
Is anybody here also extracing Battletech / Mechwarrior stuff? Sorry, I know it's a bit off topic but I'm building Battletech terrain for Tabletop Simulator. You guys inspired me so I taught myself blender basics in a week and after a lot of newbee problems have my first very simple mod online :)
I'm up for another 30 or 60 minutes to talk about the terminators if you find the time.
someone in this section ported a Mad Cat from Mechwarrior Online but i don't know who that was
Someone ported the Atlas, [del]Madcat[/del] Timber Wolf, Catapault, and a few others. Don't have the pack on me, though.
Did you make that mesh for the thunderhawk transporter? If not, where did you find it?
it's the Thunderhawk from Space Marine, but heavily, HEAVILY modified

needs the magnetic arms and rigging
i haven't been able to do much due to being sick, but now i'm healthy again so i can get back to working on this
in preparation for completing HouseSteiner's request, i decided to update the modern era Terminator armor a little. here's a shot of one with all bodygroups set to something
Thunder Hammer and a taller (stretched) Storm Shield alternative
the (mc)hammer has two cable options, one that's stuck to the handle and one that's floating free and is rigged to a bone so it can be connected to the Terminator's underarm power plug
awww yiss motherfucking Lightning Claws
they are part of the Power Fist's bodygroup tree and there's an alternative bodygroup with offline blades
lightning effects added in post, obviously
added some more robe bits and a cape to the MK7_Fancy
If you elongate the grip and blade of your chainsword (and put a few more teeth in), you'd pretty much have the FW Heresy-era Eviscerator
just a suggestion.
