Also please update my pic in the OP with this: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5010825/Yup.png [editline]6th May 2011[/editline] It's newer and not broken. [editline]6th May 2011[/editline] Oh wow I already had pageking content.
Can someone suggest a few nice, simple clean skins, or some of their favourite stylised, aesthetic ones? Such as Jolicraft, only not Jolicraft.
Nevermind, got three to alternate between. Frenden for simplistic minecraft, Quandary for nice, rich looking environments, and JoliCraft for cartoony minecraft. S'all good.

Eh, texture packs are alright but I kind of like the feel of vanilla minecraft. The ONLY thing I think I would want in a texture pack is something to change the cobble and gravel, nothing else.. even then the cobble in minecraft has it's own personality that can actually look alright if not used in excess

I'm loving the Great Wind pack, only because Wind Waker is the best game ever made.
I really love how Painterly keeps updating, it gets better each update. It's fucking awesome.

DokuCraft is my favorite.
I really love how Painterly keeps updating, it gets better each update. It's fucking awesome.
I like how it updates extremely quickly when updates come out.
Damnit, why won't Quandary update? I love the rich enviroments but the lack of the recent stuff is throwing me off. [editline]9th May 2011[/editline] Wait, nevermind. The OP's wrong.
I love Ovo's Rustic Pack...literally the best texture pack ever.

Point out some errors or give me suggestions if you want to!
For that borderlands pack I posted a page back. Bordercraft, comes in two flavors, 64x64 and 128x128. Updated to work with 1.5 http://borderlandscraft.blogspot.com/

I'm making a pack. Should it be a 1x1 texture pack, or a completely red texture pack?

This is the single most amazing thing I have ever seen.
JohnSmith is the best 32px texture pack ever
Sweet merciful crap, I came again! :gizz: I also want this pack.

I actually liked the style (ie, the way it defines each block) so I made a little script to apply it to any texture pack I wanted to. I called it Blockcraft, for pretty obvious reasons :P What it looks like applied to JohnSmith's texture pack: Here's the download link, if you want to try it: http://tarts.x10.mx/misc/Blockcraft.zip
Taking it into a slightly different direction
I like the stone, but I think it'd work better as cobblestone, because no matter how you put it, you can't make uniform looking stone, it just doesn't work.

QPack is my favorite texture pack.

What happened to SkinEdit?
What do you mean? It's still around, if that's what you're asking.
Naturecraft is a p cool texture pack
The only thing I really like in that pack is the water.
The only thing I really like in that pack is the water.
And that's taken right from Jolicraft.
What do you mean? It's still around, if that's what you're asking.
I couldn't find a working version. Still can't, actually.
ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value. ERROR: The system was unable to find the specified registry key or value. Java installed to: Launching SkinEdit... The system cannot find the path specified. SkinEdit closed. If nothing happend please reinstall java. For more info visit java.com Press any key to continue . . .
So I reinstalled/updated java. Also tried the fix from the official thread. Still getting it. Anyway, does the latest version even have a block/mob preview function? I really only want it so I can avoid opening the game every time I want to see a change I made.
Unless he's updated since the beginning of the month, it should be working. That's when I got the latest version and it works fine. And I'm not sure about mob previews, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't support either.
Thanks to garry changing release tags, the thread looks a little bit better. Yay.
