Maybe it's just me. But when I used to play TF2 I always crashed it at the Valve screen by trying to click through. I never did get around to using -novid.
It happens to me too.
CryEngine 2 (Running crysis) :eng101: [sp]If anybody takes this seriously I will hunt your ass down and say it again and again in your face until your head explodes[/sp]
Actually, the version that Crysis Warhead and Crysis Wars run on is pretty easy on you rig. I can play it with an average of 30 FPS. All low settings(:v:), but still, it's not that monstrous.
TF2 crashes every time I load a map :(
What GPU are you running?
Only time I have ever crashed in a source game, is when I do crazy ass shit in gMOD.
CryEngine 2 (Running crysis) :eng101: [sp]If anybody takes this seriously I will hunt your ass down and say it again and again in your face until your head explodes[/sp]
I took it srsly.
What GPU are you running?
If you're asking me, a GTX 295.
CryEngine 2 (Running crysis) :eng101: [sp]If anybody takes this seriously I will hunt your ass down and say it again and again in your face until your head explodes[/sp]
Works great. Crashed 1 time under my full playthrough.
CryEngine 2 (Running crysis) :eng101: [sp]If anybody takes this seriously I will hunt your ass down and say it again and again in your face until your head explodes[/sp]
Actually, it's never crashed on me before - it just runs like shit, now that I think about it. Knock it for speed all you like, but it could run as slow or as fast without crashing.
Fucking Gmod crashes saying something about Locking DX8... Even though, my card is a Radeon 3850.
Actually, it's never crashed on me before - it just runs like shit, now that I think about it.
Everyone took it seriously :frown:
i like when 13 yo kids complain about crashes when A) they don't understand how to use a computer properly and B) they aren't old enough to play the game
I enjoy its scalability the most, but I've had Source engine crashes. Not in a looong time though. [editline]07:54AM[/editline] Scratch that TF2 just crashed. Twice.
i like when 13 yo kids complain about crashes when A) they don't understand how to use a computer properly and B) they aren't old enough to play the game
Hypocrite
Warning: Os paged pool memory low out of os paged pool memory could not lock vertex buffer
Pretty stable, though when it does crash I have to use my special batch file that force quits hl2.exe. I made a shortcut to that which has a key combination to activate it.
Source is the shitz.
TF2 isn't Alt+tab friendly for me :( There are some crap things about the source engine though. You can't jump onto some props (barrels, some tables) No actual vehicles? (Need Confirmation) Long Loading time (compared to other games, such as BF2142) Climbing up ladders :downs:

You can't jump onto some props (barrels, some tables) that is because the collision meshes were made fucking HUGE by the modeler, not so much a Source engine problem. No actual vehicles? (Need Confirmation) What do you call that thing you dive in HL2 again...oh yeah a JEEP, it is a vehicle. Long Loading time (compared to other games, such as BF2142) .bsp how we love 'ye Climbing up ladders :downs: Okay ladders do suck in this game.
Replies in bold. Mainly opinion, and I feel the loading time thing is wrong...
Maybe it's just me. But when I used to play TF2 I always crashed it at the Valve screen by trying to click through. I never did get around to using -novid.
type "-novid" in your game launch properties :) Edit: lol woops, shit I'm blind T-T
I find source games to crash quite a bit. Crysis, however, is VERY stable. Even on uber high, your FPS will drop of 0.3, but you'll never, ever, crash.
