I'll play it and love it if its f2p or p2p
I am hoping and praying that there will be an option to have all the cosmetic changes not show up on your screen, or modding every custom item back to normal appearance. The game by its very nature is cluttered enough as it is, I don't need pink chronospheres and wave of terrors that turn into confetti to make it worse.
Not a good argument. A better one would be along the lines of how F2P players try less or since there would be new F2P people all the time you would constantly be playing with bad players until a proper matchmaking system was put in. (I'm still put in with people who only have 6 wins occasionally but the rest of my team has a lot of wins *this could be due to 2 people being friends but I can't really tell.*) I'm not saying this is 100% true for everyone but I know a lot of people will just "Try DOTA 2" and do awful in a couple games without practicing and ruin several games for people then stop playing because "it's too hard."
So like Dota. That was free too you know.
And whats the difference between normal and f2p players?
to quote a friend, "i hope they make it f2p so i can go into games and grief people"
to quote a friend, "i hope they make it f2p so i can go into games and grief people"
On the internet, assholes prevail, because there is not much you can do to punish them. That's why you behave, to make sure others go by your example and have a nice game.
or you know never play online without a team of brofessionals
or you know never play online without a team of brofessionals
If enemy team has a griefer it's not fun either. Yes, easy game most likely, but where's the fun when cake is free to take and there are no dragons guarding it ?
One solution: TF2 style, free-to-play people can only join custom games and matchmake with other free-to-play people, but once they buy something in the shop their account is upgraded to "premium" (which, I believe, is how they're doing it based on some stuff found in-game).

you know you had a bad team when even the people spectating your match become depressed
i finally got this game, time to download and feed
i hope they change the shop Looks messy
I understand why I stopped playing this game for months, the teammates don't support you and then they blame you for getting ganked. And overall the teammates are shit. EDIT: Just ran into a really nice guy, I commended him.
I understand why I stopped playing this game for months, the teammates don't support you and then they blame you for getting ganked. And overall the teammates are shit.
You're just unlucky. Play with friends.

You can que with other "verified"s or be in the f2p pool.
First game as Invoker and I didn't suck :D He is complicated and has a thing that makes you want to stick to spells that are easy to use (Snap, Tornado, EMP, Alacrity), but I can see why people go "safe" on him (Tornado/EMP) and why pros enjoy him so much now. Walking Swiss Army Knife. [editline]24th February 2012[/editline] There is also little problem I've noticed that was carried over from WC3. Buff bar gets filled easily if proper team/items/gamestage occurs. I'd love to see something done about that, guess that is stuff to post in UI at devdota ?
All of his spells are easy to use...
All of his spells are easy to use...
Why did this get rated dumb it's true, the only hard thing about invoker is remembering his combinations, but the spells themselves are easy as fuck

That's really the only thing that got me into this game was the fact my friends wanted me to play it with them and I had a swell time.
All of his spells are easy to use...
Easy, as in "very easy". Icewall might be tricky to place in the thick of combat, meteor makes you think about proper path for it, elementals "should" be ordered to attack around (at least quick control group and attack together), Sunstrike is easy, forgot to mention that too. Experienced Invokers won't find any of his spells hard or tricky, because they are used to it. But people who get to play him 2/3 times outside of -wtf mode might, thus they stick to simplest of all.
Why did this get rated dumb it's true, the only hard thing about invoker is remembering his combinations, but the spells themselves are easy as fuck
because badunk has a hard on for me, he rates all my posts dumb, I think it's because I outlaned him and denied all his creeps in a fp game one time and he raged the fuck out on mic and ragequit

Anyone else not have Dota 2 Test in their games list yet?
Anyone else not have Dota 2 Test in their games list yet?
I don't, it will come soon I guess.
I just saw Leshrac's true potential, he becomes a rapetrain who overruns entire teams alone as soon as he gets Bloodstone + Aghanim's. (The Defence with Tobi Wan thingy) [editline]25th February 2012[/editline] What, patch coming now?
- Charge of Darkness and Wrath of Nature no longer alert the target to attack the caster if the target is far away.
Oh no.
- Fixed issues with loadouts of Bane, Kunkka, and Sniper.
Loadouts huh...... just like TF2..
Loadouts huh...... just like TF2..
I think they speak of suggested items.
