Any good housing mods? I'm currently using Dynasty Manor.
Any good housing mods? I'm currently using Dynasty Manor.
DragonFalls is a decent one. The problem I have with many house mods is that many of them consist of endless miles of chests, display cases, and mannequins. They have enough room to hold like 30x the amount of stuff that's in the default game.
I'm using the Necromancy - Indefinity mod where zombies last until killed and it's adding several "Raise Zombie" effects, if I get too many active effects trying to use the magic menu will crash to desktop, so does anyone know a command used to dispell spells?
Anyone?
This mod makes it much better in my opinion.
Great, now mages don't look like sissies.
Game kept crashing on me, like I haven't played it for a long time. Some cool mods out too. Giants that actually look giant. :)
I just witnessed Ralof, Gerdur, and Faendal kill every guard in Riverwood. For some reason they also killed Alvor. Any idea what might've prompted them to do this?
I hate this misconception. I've found steam workshop to be absolute shit compared to the nexus. For example: Workshop Nexus The workshop results are some random followers, crummy weapons, and houses. Yeah, those sound like traps to me. Yet the second result on the Nexus is a trap mod. In my opinion the workshop is downright terrible. Sure, it's convenient and all, but honestly it's easier to find easier mods on the nexus. The workshop has shit like "sweetroll staff" at the front of it. At least with the nexus you have to sign in before rating something. That's another gripe with mine is that legitimate mods such as Phenderix's Magic Evolved are several pages behind shit like some random house that is wrongly categorized.
The both suck equally as much in my opinion, you still have to dig through pages of shit in order to get to something interesting on both. Only difference is that the Nexus has a lot more shit. (Though the Workshop is catching up rather fast.) Also, the only good thing the Nexus Mod Manager is good for is as a fancy download manager, I never use it to install mods. I hate the mods that *REQUIRE* you use the mod manager as if I'm too stupid to edit a text file. (Thankfully, the launcher now allows you to manually edit the load order so now I don't need to rely on the Nexus Mod Manager as much.) The biggest annoyance I have with the Workshop? The fact that there are "loyalist" modders out there who believe that the Workshop "Is only fragmenting the community," when the only people creating the perceived rift are stupid modders like that. Most sensible modders release on both Workshop and Nexus and then just cross link it. [editline]29th February 2012[/editline] (Also I really really don't like the fact that I am required to allow the Nexus in noscript in order to actually use the fucking website.)
The animations for running while dual wielding magic is....awkward, to say the least
I hope somebody gets rid of that gorilla waddle that you get when you walk around with a bow. That is hands down the shittiest animation in the game.
I hope somebody gets rid of that gorilla waddle that you get when you walk around with a bow. That is hands down the shittiest animation in the game.
I think that frolic you do when you dual wield spells is worse.
I think that frolic you do when you dual wield spells is worse.
Both of them are pretty bad, but the bow one is so bad that I play in first person when using a bow (despite my preference of over-the-shoulder combat)
The animations for running while dual wielding magic is....awkward, to say the least
http://youtu.be/jvio3LLJXZ4?t=54s Hey, does anyone know if the last patch made companions that wear robes by default capable of wearing other pieces of armor? I'm wondering because I successfully got Illia to equip some, and Marcurio could use armor too.

I once gave Aranea Ienith an elven helmet and she started running around in her underwear.

[editline]29th February 2012[/editline] (Also I really really don't like the fact that I am required to allow the Nexus in noscript in order to actually use the fucking website.)
It kind of does fragment things a little though. I prefer it when people upload their mods to both, but if it has to be one I'd rather it be on the Nexus or another site. I feel like the Steam workshop takes too much control away when installing. It's fine for little stuff, but there's no way in hell I'd install something like Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul with it, when we get a Skyrim equivalent. I think some of you guys are getting a little too angry at the Nexus. It's just a file site, there's gonna be crappy files everywhere. My only real complaint is that I wish adult mods were filtered a little better, so that unless you're actually looking for them they don't show up in latest files, popular files by default, etc. But it's a minor complaint and I just deal with it. Oblivion had some horrible stuff too, and not all of it was Nexus based.
I don't have any actual problems with any of the sites (Except for the Noscript thing I mentioned earlier, and maybe the 50 mod limit on the Workshop but I haven't gotten to that point yet,) but I still prefer the Workshop because usually I don't get any massive mods, the only mods I have are smaller ones like the ones here. [editline]29th February 2012[/editline] I should really sit down one of these days and sort through all the mods I have and figure out which ones would be better from the nexus, and which would be better from the workshop. He is probably 10 feet tall and his attacks knock people off their feet. So, I casted fear on that Briarheart there and my Draugr went up to him and just curb stomped him for about 5 minutes straight, it was one of the funniest things I've seen in a game. I should've recorded it.
i took 2000 skooma and my game crashed lol
You probably overdosed.
i took 2000 skooma and my game crashed lol
Did you happen to press the jump button? Or the forward button. Or any button.
Both of them are pretty bad, but the bow one is so bad that I play in first person when using a bow (despite my preference of over-the-shoulder combat)
One thing that irks me about Skyrim It isn't over-the-shoulder combat You explore over-the-shoulder, but combat directly behind.
i wish they didnt merge torso and legging armor together. i want to play as an old breton, coming to skyrim to research shit with his trusty companion. i either look like a huge warrior, a bandit, some demon man, or an average peasant.
One thing that irks me about Skyrim It isn't over-the-shoulder combat You explore over-the-shoulder, but combat directly behind.
You can barely even call it third person combat. It's just first person with the camera behind you.
Is there a shortcut in the Creation Kit to instantly set a new Kit piece to Z: 0? It's annoying having to drag the new peaces down all the time. oh nevermind, found it myself! You have to drag the new pieces onto existing pieces, instantly works!
Guys I'm having a problem here I'm doing the quest "Azura's Star" and [sp]once I leave the broken star, the dude says that I can keep the Black Star. It says in the corner of the screen "Black Star added", but I go to check my inventory and all I have is a black soul gem filled with a grand soul. I loaded 2 times now and it's just the soul gem every time.[/sp] wat do
Have you checked right at the bottom of Misc? It's called The Black Star.
How long were we able to track authors in the Workshop for?
Fuck sakes. I reinstalled the game and now when I try launching Skyrim, the steam message that says it's preparing to launch repeatedly opens and closes, then after it does that a bunch of times it stops and nothing happens.
