I was kinda disappointed by the shotgun within in the demo, but then again all shotguns seem kinda worthless in these games. geth shotgun was fun though
I dunno I loved the shotgun on my adept. Run up, warp, blam blam dead.
That gun looks BADASS. Enough has been said.
Pictures of every single weapon from the main game, no spoilers: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/9028411
Say what you want about Bioware you have to give them credit. They can sure as FUCK make ANY gun sexy.
Phaeston, Spitfire, Javelin/Raptor, Paladin/Scorpion/Eagle and Disciple will probably be my load-out from what I'm seeing. The real test though is, do they shoot as well as they look? We've seen the Scorpion in use (Kirrahe uses it in the demo) and we've certainly seen the others in action via Cerberus, it's just the rest that'll be new.
Phaeston, Spitfire, Javelin/Raptor, Paladin/Scorpion/Eagle and Disciple will probably be my load-out from what I'm seeing.
That seems like a bit much. I'll just be sticking to 2 weapons probably for the reduced cooldowns. Pistol/SMG on Adept, AR/Pistol on Engineer, and Sniper/Pistol on my infiltrator.

This weapon looks really advanced. If we can have grenade launchers for pistols and nail guns for shotguns, I wonder... [sub]particle beam?[/sub]

My god that is sexy.
Is there any confirmation as to how many squad members we could be looking at this time around? I know it's fairly spoilerish, but I'm just wondering quantity. No names or anything. I've gotten used to the huge squad from ME2 over the simple team from ME1.
My god that is sexy.
I was never a fan of curvy guns like that. [editline]24th February 2012[/editline]
Is there any confirmation as to how many squad members we could be looking at this time around? Around 6-8 I think? -Garrus -Liara -VS -Vega -Tali -[sp]Prothean[/sp] -[sp]EDI(?)[/sp] -Chobot (Is she an actual squadmate?)
Something about that is awkward as hell.
I think it's the fact that they're standing about a foot and a half in front of the wall, rather than actually leaning against it for support.
I was never a fan of curvy guns like that. [editline]24th February 2012[/editline] Permanent squad members? I'll be rolling with the Black Widow most likely (betting it has the highest single-shot damage of all the sniper rifles) and possibly some cool close-range AR as infiltrator
That's an Assault Rifle. Turian made. Specializes in low recoil.
Interesting how a Turian made gun has a grip that looks like it was made for humans. I know this is probably me just nitpicking, but you would think with only 2 fingers having a trigger like that would be uncomfortable. You would think it would look more like a Covenant weapon from Halo or something.
SMGs sucked in both me2 and me3
This weapon looks really advanced. If we can have grenade launchers for pistols and nail guns for shotguns, I wonder... [sub]particle beam?[/sub]
Well there is already the Collector Particle Beam.
I'll be rolling with the Black Widow most likely (betting it has the highest single-shot damage of all the sniper rifles) and possibly some cool close-range AR as infiltrator
It's not stronger, it's easier to handle, faster and thus overall better.
SMGs sucked in both me2 and me3
Every SMG but the Locust sucks in ME2. Haven't used it much in ME3 to comment.
Interesting how a Turian made gun has a grip that looks like it was made for humans. If anything, it might be uncomfortable for a five-digit user, depending on the strength of the material the grip's made out of.

I was worried we wouldn't get the same quality and quantity as ME2, which would be a damn shame. I rather liked how diverse the squad was.
Well there is already the Collector Particle Beam.
Yeah I know, I just really like lasers. I don't think enough sci-fi games use them.
Interesting how a Turian made gun has a grip that looks like it was made for humans. [editline]24th February 2012[/editline] oh and that purple glow is the mass effect core that reduces the recoil basically it works the same was as drednaught mass accelerator cannons (the recoil dampening anyways), just smaller, less powerful, and for shot force to recoil force is different.
It's not stronger, it's easier to handle and thus overall better.
ok, cool I like high damage rifles that require you to cycle the bolt after each shot semiauto anti-materiel rifles can go fuck themselves
I meant less the actual shape of the handle and more the presence of a trigger guard. Turians have larger fingers, and sticking it in a trigger guard to pull the trigger would be uncomfortable. It just seems like this: would be more comfortable for a race with digits in that configuration.
Just maxed out the paragon bar on my ME1 Shepard Also I'm just horrible at driving the Mako
SMGs sucked in both me2 and me3
The Tempest was MUCH better in the ME3 demo than in ME2. And the Locust is a great SMG. I know I'll probably use the Black Widow and a Locust on my first run as Infiltrator. They're a little bigger but not so much that they'd need specialist grips.
Just finished Mass Effect 2 for the first time. [sp]Only me, Miranda, Jacob, and Tali survived. The only loss I really care about is Garrus. I'm going to redo the mission soon and try to keep the results the same besides Garrus. My biggest hope is that Miranda will play a big role in ME3, unlike Wrex or Kaiden/Ashley in ME2.[/sp]
There's no need to spoiler ME2 info, it's been out for 2 years. How did you manage to get so many people killed? Did you not bother with the loyalty missions?
you better go back and make sure garrus doesnt die gonna shoot yourself in the foot if you import to me3
