http://icefrogtruth.blogspot.com/ Just gonna let this here
I hope this isn't real and that IceFrog is actually a nice guy and knows what he's doing.
I was turned away from these types of games when I watched a friend play HoN. The learning curve looks enormous, I don't want games to feel like a job. I want to have fun with them.
http://icefrogtruth.blogspot.com/ Just gonna let this here
Totally credible :rolleye:
Totally credible :rolleye:
It looks pretty clear cut to me, with the evidence provided.

I expect Valve will follow their tradition of guiding the player through the learning process, plus they have confirmed a "coach" feature which will pair you (new guy) up with a friendly player/teacher (pro). We'll see...

It sure has a huge learning curve but most RTS/RPG online games do, the problem is the community which is absolute shit in both games, that's why most people hate it.
It looks pretty clear cut to me, with the evidence provided.
What's already known is that IceFrog did not created DOTA Allstars alone, but he made the biggest part of it. All of the actual gameplay wouldn't be like it is without him. Erik leads the project.
Erik Johnson Project Manager
duh As for him being a dumbass, I'll totally believe someone who created a Blogger today, right after the game was announced, right ?
http://icefrogtruth.blogspot.com/ Just gonna let this here
Inb4 IceFrog is an ideas guy.
Anyone who thought this surprise was going to be Episode 3 is an idiot. We've been hearing about IceFrog's project for months, there wasn't any indication that it was going to be anything other than DOTA related.
Oh shut up.There is prepurchase scandavia only ep3 so its be its better than some dota shit !!!
Oh shut up.There is prepurchase scandavia only ep3 so its be its better than some dota shit !!!
A UPS Storehouse for you this Christmas.
http://icefrogtruth.blogspot.com/ Just gonna let this here
This is very unsettling.

He doesn't, he's the project manager because Valve don't just hire people and leave them to do everything with no help at all. is this dota made by valve or is it shit?
Why is Icefrog afraid to give out his name?
Are there any haters for DotA? Not quite sure due to my not playing any RPG type game at all. As for me, I am going to wait and see how it goes before thinking about buying it.

I played Dota three times, and it's definitely not interesting for me. I will not buy this game that's almost completely sure.
[img_thumb]http://image.jeuxvideo.com/images/pc/d/o/dota-2-pc-002.jpg[/img_thumb]
it's ashe
Valve haven't really got much experience of anything other than FPS, but I'm confident this will be awesome
VALVe doing RTS, would be awesome
I was turned away from these types of games when I watched a friend play HoN. The learning curve looks enormous, I don't want games to feel like a job. I want to have fun with them.
try LoL, it's not too difficult. same type of game
The biggest thing that puts me off Dota is how hard it is if you suck. You try your hardest but are normally on servers with skilled players and get your head imploded on a regular basis. Hopefully Valve's techniques to counter this actually work. Match making seems to fit perfectly for this because you can be placed into a game with people of similar skill. And I love their mentoring concept. Surprised more strategy games haven't implemented stuff like this previously.

don't forget to mention the fact that people can still make smurf accounts to get matched with low-tier players in order to roll over them.
At least there's coaching.
