I thought you weren't playing as either, you're trying to stop documents and scientists from falling into Russian hands.
Yeah you're an American trying to stop the German V2 project as well as stopping the Russian from getting the tech, you'll be fighting both sides and if it is anything like the first game, I'm assuming at certain points in the game you could be disguised as either side. [editline]16th April 2012[/editline]
It might be a early build of them game. Who knows.. Maybe it's better when it's fully released.
Well the Copyright notice in the demo says "2011", and it mentions not being 'Representative of the final product'. So either this demo build is a few months old, or they didn't update the copyright text. [editline]16th April 2012[/editline]
Man, I saw the killcams and that alone made me want the game. Damned lack of PC demo!
PC demo will be out 'soon'
I just did the best thing ever, double nutshot. Hit the front guy in the nuts from about 70 meters and hit the guy about a foot behind him in the balls too.
I just played the demo for three hours on Xbox, I've never had so much mindless fun. I just stuck with the Sniper Elite difficulty for the most rewarding shots, I ended up hitting a guy in the head, the bullet went through and tumbled into a guy's grenade, blowing them both up.
Played the demo for like the 6th time. I love shooting the German who is asleep on the chair, I shot him through his mouth whilst he was yawning, he died with a face of >:O.
Aw no XP support, guess I'll have to save up for 7 and an external hdd
What I didnt like about sniper elite 1 is the fact that you were wearing a german uniform, and the germans would shoot you anyway. It should've been something like they dont shoot you, but when you fire a shot, they will. Or enter an area without having a card or some shit will get you shot.
Aiming with analogue sticks on consoles must be a pain in the ass, but I'll look forward to the chance of getting this for PS3 if I don't have the monies to get a new PC soon.
Funny, I'm actually a fairly good sniper in console games, but on PC I'm absolute shit. I guess it has to do with making it easier to lead the target and not accidentally twitching(the mouse) when I shoot.

my balls hurt now
Already pre-ordered. Sniper Elite v1 was fantastic, playing the demo of this on PS3 felt pretty much the same, although I'm buying for PC..sniping on a console, are you maaad?!
I wonder how long the longest shot that can be made will be. It better not be some 300m either, I want a Kilometer at least
I wonder how long the longest shot that can be made will be. It better not be some 300m either, I want a Kilometer at least
Well I think in the demo I hit 600 easily. I'm pretty sure the maximum distance possible will be pretty near the realistic max range of whatever rifle you're using.

Wasn't shooting him in the head enough?

I'm just wondering if V2 is going to set us up for similar opportunities
Looking forward to the PC demo.
I took a shot, it clipped the back of a soldiers head, and what was left of the bullet, killed the guy a couple meters away by just hitting it him in the side. I suck at the stealth aspect though. So as soon as I take a shot, it turns into a generic shooter. I heard in one of the developers videos, that you're supposed to time yours shots with environmental noises like big explosions, but every time I shoot one guy, they all know where I am. It also doesn't help that holding your breathe drowns out almost every sound so you cant tell when to shoot to remain undetected.

Well i played the demo on my ps3 and woah that was pretty nice... Althought i'd like to have some options for the killcam. And the bodies disappear.... [editline]16th April 2012[/editline] Gonna preorder, for pc 'course
I never played that ^ is that the first? But the demo for the second seems really good, most likely preorder for me

What a wonderful thing releasing the demo later on PC for no reason.
Says 2011 when you first start it but 2012 when you beat it.
Sniper Elite: Now with 10% more time travel.
Yeah that's the first, on that note I will install it again. What a wonderful thing releasing the demo later on PC for no reason.
Apparently the reason for releasing the PC demo later has to do with the PC version and Console versions having different publishers. The Console version is published by 505, while the PC version is published by Rebellion themselves. They may have been pushed by their console publisher to release the console version before the PC version. [editline]16th April 2012[/editline] They have said the demo will be out this month, so you will be able to try it on the PC before it comes out.
I just discovered that it's possible to shoot someone's finger's off. I thought I just saw his finger bones shatter and mistook it for his fingers getting shot off at first, but then I went to the body and saw that his fingers were indeed missing and on the floor.
Yeah, it's actually pretty easy on the first guy that's leaning in the doorway.
Played the demo, the ballistics are pretty stupid. 30-06 shouldn't be dropping 1ft+ at 200M.

The AI is terrible in this. I hope they really fix it so they take cover when the game comes out. It's just a shooting gallery.
