So yeah the title is pretty much the question in a thread i saw a while ago about Tactical games some people were takling about 2 games, SWAT 3 and 4, are these games any good? and if so where can i find them?
it's really good, it has a few years on it's back but is still always fun as hell to play both campaign and online bro =)
last i checked swat 4 still has a decent multiplayer community (especially if you speak portuguese!)
Swat 4 is apparently easier to get into but isn't quite as dedicated as the third game. I've been trying to figure out where to buy 4 for a while.

SWAT 4 is damn amazing. I was told SWAT 3 was better, but I bought it off GOG and I respectfully disagree. Maybe it was the nostalgia factor for whoever suggested it to me. SWAT 3 is really dated. SWAT 4 is a must-have for anybody who likes Rainbow Six. Personally, I think SWAT 4 is what Rainbow Six should have been.
Swat 4 is an amazing 4 (or 5?) player co-op game. Especially great for small lan parties!
Swat 4 is an amazing game, but that said I find it's only really worth it if you can find 2-3 other people to play it co-op with.
Swat 4 has a nice, lengthy campaign and plenty of mods after that. Co-op multiplayer is also an amazing experience. Iirc you could have 2 teams of 5 players that come in through each entrance. Really unique, and the graphics are really good considering how old the game is.
I want to play SWAT 4 just from watching Spoony play it. "You're in my way, sir."
SWAT 3 is really dated.
The only thing dated about SWAT 3 compared to 4 is the graphics. It's a lot more tactically accurate. AI squad members check their flanks, do the 'slicing the pie' maneuver when making an entry, every individual squad member covers a part of a room and they cover unsecured doors/pathways/corridors automatically. The voice acting in SWAT 4 seems like it was made to fit the standards of angsty teens. Voice actors trying to sound badass way too hard while in SWAT 3 the acting is much more believable. The animations in SWAT 4 look so cartoony and it looks way out of place seeing how SWAT was well-known for being more of a simulator rather than a tactical shooter. In SWAT 3, bullet decals are realistic. If you'll look you will notice entry bullet holes are a lot smaller than exit bullet holes in walls and etc. That's pretty cool seeing how the game was made in 1999. In SWAT 3, using the flashlight gives away your position. When a team clears a room, they automatically throw in a light stick at the doorway to inform you that it is clear so you don't have to repeatedly search everywhere. SWAT 3 is just as good as SWAT 4 if not better (which it is). Don't say you 'respectfully' disagree and provide some asshole generic reason "It's dated" when you probably only played it for 10 minutes

Yeah I only spent about 30 minutes playing it, but some games don't age too well. I think SWAT 3 is one of them.

Just because it was his opinion does not make him invulnerable to disagreements. And it wasn't even an opinion, it was a statement backed up with a shitty reason. I'm not pissed.
put on your glasses
It's not like he said 3 was shit, or like you and give out each reason why one game is better than the other but as long as you think your right then i guess i can't explain how stupid you are (User was banned for this post ("Report don't reply" - verynicelady))

SWAT 4 was a fantastic game. But I never got into it because the numbers of buttons you have to press. Maybe it's just me though.
