So anyways, I start my fresh playthrough on TFW v3.7 and I already get a CTD when I'm trying to escape from the bloodsucker village at the start... Eughhh, not a good impression, at all. I'm going to start another game later on, hopefully it was just a really rare event or some shi-.

Paste it here and let's see what we can do.
I'm thinking of doing X-16 in livestream. Anyone up for it or should I wait later in the day?
Only vodka for antirads
Now please.
But not many people are online yet :c I'll have breakfast then do X-16. During Horror Time. Maximum pant-shitting.
;34783653']But not many people are online yet :c I'll have breakfast then do X-16. During Horror Time. Maximum pant-shitting.
Yo did you already start streaming? Just saw its been an hour since this post figured I might have missed it or I might just be on time E: No, no you did not, instead I'm watching your previous hour long recording of OGSE :v
Only completely new weapon I've used is the MP40, and that had some pretty terrible animations. Your left arm covers the entire bottom of the screen too...
Most of the original Arsenal weapons have terrible animations. The WW2 weapons have never left the beta stage before Arsenal for SoC was stopped working on.
doomy, get merging the lurk weapons with OGSE! :P
Pretty much all i'd need to do is drop LURK's weapon models and textures over OGSE's since it's already got all the rest set up.
I wouldn't mind doing this, but how much work is exactly involved? Just modify some .ltx files, or is it more than that? If Doom wants to take it up, there's this download I found, "LURK Animations for AMK.7z", which is just LURK weapons+anims for AMK (this saves you having to actually dig into LURK's gamedata folder and find all the necessary shit). You could probably use it as a reference but instead change OGSE's weapon .ltx files.
If all it contains are the models and textures (and all of LURKs weapons, not just the ones AMK uses as well), then that should work for OGSE as well. It won't replace weapons LURK never changed or added, such as the MP-40, but it'd work theoretically. [editline]20th February 2012[/editline] Ima try that now. [editline]20th February 2012[/editline] At first look, it's more difficult than it seems; all the file are rearranged and renamed.
So, I decided to do an arcade playthrough of SoC, but it became too easy to not have any limitations on what loot I took, so I'm going to leave the stuff I have behind and assault the NPP with my knife. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/enWAh.jpg[/img_thumb] Now you know where the monolith gets all their weapons and armor.
Here Doom: http://www.mediafire.com/?nls6xtfo6ul745r Obviously after the merge there will be weapons like the MP40 left over which we won't have a LURK equivalent of, but most the weapons will be LURKified, which is still cool nonetheless.
I'm almost inside the powerplant. I've killed a few monolithians, but damn they're good shots.
I'm almost inside the powerplant. I've killed a few monolithians, but damn they're good shots.
I hope you have a ton of anti-radiation stuff, you will need it.
I have an artefact or two.
I hope you have a ton of anti-radiation stuff, you will need it.
Bubble Wrenched Jellyfish
Bubble Wrenched Jellyfish
You know he's playing SoC, right?
You know he's playing SoC, right?
Ohh Sorry. Anyway, i think i've known how those Artifacts' values work. [editline]20th February 2012[/editline] My god, it's like having sex when playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R with 83FOV
My god, it's like having sex when playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R with 83FOV
Uhhh, right hand dates don't count hombre.
Uhhh, right hand dates don't count hombre.
What if it's a fleshlight?
Seems in OGSE they replaced the original PKM model with the much better CS/CoP one. But it has no ironsights at all :/
Tank Machinegun, best weapon ever. Who needs to reload when you miraculously have 2,000 large bullets inside of a relatively small box of ammo? Scar doesn't, that's who.
Perhaps it mutated due to the space bubble anomaly above it. It gave the gun a link to some warehouse in the Ukraine, and some poor bastard there is trying to figure out why all the ammo keeps disappearing. Each new box mag represents a crate of ammo in that warehouse.
Maybe Scar just has an invisible bullet chain?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/OPDUR.jpg[/t] As I arrive at "Yanov" Station, a man that looks familiar in a way I can't put into words introduces himself. He calls himself "Nitro" and says that he's the technician of this place. I am sure that I will need his services at some point so I'll reply in a friendly manner. I have little or no time for chit-chat though since I must look into the info I discovered from the flight computers, namely the evacuation location B205 and one of the Stingray helicopters that crashed a little ways South of it. [t]http://i.imgur.com/jUMxE.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/dJQ86.jpg[/t] [t]http://lplaces.com/images/stories/yaniv/yaniv_090508_38.jpg[/t] [t]http://lplaces.com/images/stories/yaniv/yaniv_090508_33.jpg[/t] Heading out, I see that Yanov Station looks relatively unchanged from the state it was in before the Zone appeared, with the exception of some of the underbrush dying due to the harsh environment of the Zone. [t]http://i.imgur.com/l4Wlp.jpg[/t] Heading further I can see the massive Duga-3 array looming over the landscape far away. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Eo8v7.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/xeDz9.jpg[/t] And of course the Stingray had to crash-land behind a damned Minefield. Thankfully I saw that a soldier had marked a safe path through it but had died in the process himself. I checked the insides of the heli, only to find out stalkers had already looted it! At least the black box is still intact. Maybe that guy from the station could decrypt it's information for me ? [t]http://i.imgur.com/BjUS8.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/pdrmR.jpg[/t] My next target was evacuation location B205 or the former "Rocket Shield" guarding the CNPP and Pripyat from NATO aircraft. The complex used to house ZRC S-75 "Volkhov" missiles but the areas has been emptied of the missiles long time ago. When asked, a local stalker told me that "new tenants had moved in". I asked him what did he mean by that but he only smirked and replied "You'll see". I did not pursue this question further. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Kk38D.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/xxska.jpg[/t] On my way to the complex I had to cross a small swamp to avoid venturing too close to the abandoned depot grounds. Most of the time large buildings like that are inhabited by either stalkers or bandits and I didn't want to risk a firefight or anyone knowing about my movements. [t]http://i.imgur.com/wSnJw.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/ntF5k.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/YcjNb.jpg[/t] Arriving to the grounds of the site I spot movement around the buildings. Through my optics I observe some zombified stalkers shambling about. These porridge-brains can be very dangerous if they get aggressive but can usually be avoided. I wait him to disappear before I start my approach on the barracks of the compound. [t]http://i.imgur.com/vlrho.jpg[/t] [t]http://lplaces.com/images/stories/rockets/gbls_chornobyl_03.jpg[/t] Approaching the main barracks it looks just like in the pictures of old. [t]http://i.imgur.com/Sq7BX.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/XVrUS.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/fVry4.jpg[/t] Having scoured the barracks, I find no survivors, just a note written by one of the survivors. According to it, he left the area for a scientific bunker a little ways northeast. [t]http://i.imgur.com/2wIbY.jpg[/t] The lieutenant's choice was a wise one since apparently this place is now completely overrun by zombified stalkers and remains of lost military units. After I had finished reading the document, zombies started shuffling out of the compound's other buildings. Time to leave. [t]http://i.imgur.com/BQ7g1.jpg[/t] Catching up with the Lieutenant at the science bunker reveals that his helicopter crashed at the Jupiter Plant and that a stalker named Garik rescued him from the evacuation location.
Maybe Scar just has an invisible bullet chain?
As far as the Tank Machine gun goes, I just picture it being a really, really long ammo belt wrapped around his neck like a hipster scarf.
oh boy i joined the military in dooms and there are no more stalkers in the cordon because the three soldiers that patrol the road to the blockade decided to go on a killing spree. also i made 30,000 just by looting the rookie village and the bandit camp.
I always have too much money.
