This game is like Fallout Online except it's not only russians that shoot your face on sight.

uhhhh [editline]9th May 2012[/editline] So, um, how... stable would you say the beta patch is? [editline]9th May 2012[/editline] Fuck it, WORTH IT LETS DO THIS
I'm told a Facepuncher had set up camp in the NE Airfield. I only have to argue that, he made it on the beta servers, and you have to trek fairly far in order to find water.
Do you need ArmA CO for this? I don't have arrowhead so I might be fucked [editline]9th May 2012[/editline] Oh, bad reading. This same crap happened with ArmA:CO's little expansion. All the good mods begin to require it.
What are you talking about? The coast is pretty close to the airfield
I would just generally be annoyed having to run all the way to it in order to fill some water. Then again if you had someone on that job who basically only had water bottles you'd be fine.

i finally got it installed, joined a server and we're all stuck on "Waiting for server response" is this happening to anyone else because they said the global server was down or something
OA is so much better than ARMA 2, even if you don't use mods.
If only they told us that they were going to release a better version of ArmA II before I bought ArmA II.
the maps in OA are just so bland and ugly i can't stand them
This is at the north east airfield right? I have an AK-74 and I'm heading there now.
Uhh, ok, wow. I made it to the northwestern airfield. Nobody's there. I see a wrecked UH-1, so I get in the door gun. After about a second, everyone is teleported into the ocean and it says we are dead. Umm.
God, I wish I had a better PC so I can run Arma II with a decent FPS.
I've got a "better computer" and my ArmA II fps is still surprisingly awful :v:

Any tips on looting? It seems like all I do is spend hours attempting to find the 1 building out of 20 that's open so I can find shit inside.
Sadly right now map markers are shared globally
You can put them in on direct communications so only people around you can see them
I sent an email to the dayz team. Here's hoping they restore my character. I joined another server and I'd been respawned.
This is a really fun mod, really intense and fun if you find a few friendly people. However, in my opinion it's way to easy for some prick to run up to you and shoot you in the face - which I suppose is part of the intensity that this offers, but it's also really annoying to have hours of progress and close calls with zombies to just drop to the floor because some prick has a sniper.
Wow, to whomever was on US4 at the time, fucking hell. [editline]9th May 2012[/editline] Is anyone else on US4 right now? Did you witness our fiery demise? Dicks.
Just bought it, it looks like it's worth it
Apparently a heli pilot got shot down by a pistol. :v: As soon as I got there everyone left. :(

Wow, I signed onto an Australian server and it was day time. Made everything infinitely easier for me. Ended up grabbing some extra food, a few other random items and was able to find a nice roof top to stay on.
It's best not to use the same server only because it takes a while for loot to spawn so server jumping is the best.
Don't listen to this man. Server hopping is for ultrafags.
I'll take another crack at ARMA 2, the last time I tried it my computer was having some trouble, hopefully now it'll run fine since according to steam my PC is above the minimum requirements.
You require both ArmA 2 and ArmA 2 OA to run this?
