Oh, I forgot about the Overwiki. Now I have to go through and read every thread I can before I go to bed!
I literally just spent over an hour reading that. What am I doing with my life
Everyone seems to have misunderstood what i meant by Breen not being a Host. The post i replied to said:
Considering he himself is a host for... "Something"
I meant Breen wasn't a host, he was going to be given a host body.
Hmm. Half Life, where I looked through a locked red door, and Gman just pops out from the side, adjusts his tie while staring into my eyes, then walks off. It bullet proof glass too. I was disappointed.
Something just happened to me playing through Episode 2... Not really meant to happen, it was a bug. Anyway, I was navigating through the Antlion tunnels and the mines, and I reached the bit where you, and the Vortigaunt, drop down and come across the elevator that connects to the Antlion Grub Nest and the Vortigaunts above. Only, the Vortigaunt didn't drop down with me. I go on ahead, realise I'm not being followed, and go back to the hole and look up, and he's just hovering there, eight feet off the ground... I go on ahead some more, and return, trying to trigger his landing animation by increasing how far ahead I go each time, but nothing works. I go a little bit more ahead, into the room with the elevator I just mentioned, and the 'LOADING...' pops up. I thought this would spawn him next to me or something, but no, he wasn't there. I look back down the hallway I just came from, and it was empty. I turn around, look at the elevator, and.. "AH FREEMAN THIS ELEVATOR CONNECTS TO BOTH THE SURFACE AND THE ANTLIONS. MAYBE YOU SHOULD GO DOWN" I nearly jumped out of my radiation suit.
In L4D2, on the parish(I think) where there is a grafitti on the wall showing tally marks under two stickfigures, one zombie the other human really freaked me out. That, and the fucking houses off of the road in highway 17. Those were creepy as fuck.
I was more creeped out by the graffiti nearby that was talking about their plans to go over the fence and escape, and how the whole neighborhood was being carpet bombed.

crazy cat ladie zombies make me sad
Did you ever find which chapter of which campaign this graffiti is in? I'd like to see for myself.
Parish, the 3rd part. You go through a house, and in the attic (the door has a chest of drawers you have to climb over) is a mattress, often a grenade launcher, and a tally on the wall with a crude zombie/human drawing.

EDIT: Wait, that was in chapter four. Can you get a screenshot of the house and post it here?
The first time you encounter the Advisor pods in EP1. Damn. Also, the houses on the side of the road, as mentioned before. You just go scouting for some supplies only to find a mangled zombie. [editline]9th January 2011[/editline] Also, this
is it a rebel being turned into a stalker? :ohdear:
Oh god, i'm SO playing the other sounds backwards now - that thing literally sent shudders down my spine :S

Where exactly did you hear that again?
Where exactly did you hear that again?
When you encounter your first Antlion Guard in HL2.
When you encounter your first Antlion Guard in HL2.
And right after you finally destroy the Hunter Chopper in the last map of Water Hazard.
What's the Half-Life Tanker Ending?
is it a rebel being turned into a stalker? :ohdear:
Part of it sounds like Grigori...
What's the Half-Life Tanker Ending?
It's not real.
No. This is scarier.
That's not scary at all.
Or Breen thinks that, because he doesn't know what the combine did to the humans
So uhm, how did the first combine become a combine? And also, does this mean that the screaming in the citadel is people turning into stalkers and overwatch?
So uhm, how did the first combine become a combine? And also, does this mean that the screaming in the citadel is people turning into stalkers and overwatch?
They are called the Combine because they conquer planets and then take the most usefull species and turn them into weapons. The Combines forces aren't all from one planet. The screaming in the citadel is probably people being tortured or turned into Stalkers.
What's the Half-Life Tanker Ending?
some bullshit that guy made up in the urban legends thread

combine soldiers have no sexual organs
combine soldiers have no sexual organs
Go spend some time in the Sex Pose Megathread. :smug:
combine soldiers have no sexual organs
first hand experience i assume? [editline]10th January 2011[/editline] must have been really disappointing
some bullshit that guy made up in the urban legends thread
What was it about?
What was it about?
Combine soldiers dry-humping eachother, bad poses, shemales, and Fakefactory models being rubbed together.
Considering he himself is a host for... "Something" (Really, hearing about him being a host, kinda made him much creepier in my view - although, perhaps, he had better intentions, and is taking anti-human actions "unwillingly"), I would assume that he indeed, knows. On the other hand, perhaps even Overwatch has little of human, in them? Perhaps, just to torture themselves, though.
I don't think so, while Breen may have saved humanity by arranging Earth's surrender, he's obviously corrupt, and if you pay attention to his speech at the end of HL2, he said he was planning to use Eli as a bargaining chip to manipulate the Combine Advisors, so I think it's pretty obvious the guy had his own agenda. Also it appears he's aware of the existence of the G-Man.
