The fact that they were in Xen before bakes me wonder even more about the role of G-Man. Why he oversees and causes the destruction and rebuilding of a society astonishes me. Well, everything will be revealed in good time. I hope,
When does Gordon ever eat, sleep, or go to the bathroom? His suit must be lined on the inside with shit and urine, and Gordon himself must be a toothpick

I don't really know why, but for some reason, I really want to see an appearance of The Cremator in Episode 3, And maybe even discover The Cremator Factory, and then find the Immolator (http://half-life.wikia.com/wiki/Immolator)
And maybe even discover The Cremator Factory, and then find the Immolator
Yes because acid and ice are such a great combo.

The state of his body would be restored to the conditions which he had when he arrived in Black Mesa that day. This seems to make sense so their tool would be in the shape to go through everything he can in the future in the most comfortable way possible. It's cleaning off a new slate basically.

It's not the same as the original one.
Nightmare House 2 was good, not for the scares but for gameplay.
I dunno man, I shit my pants a couple times playing that. You ever been talking to someone and then suddenly [sp]mannequins[/sp]? My worst fear every time I order food at a drive through now.
When wheatley enters to the house saying hello

The mutilated bodies sprawled around in the sewers. On my first playthrough I kept my eye on the bodies because I was afraid they would get up and attack me.
I wanna go back to Xen in HL3
I wanna go back to Xen in HL3
xen in hl1 was pretty annoying and gimmicky, but if it was actually refined a bit i'd probably enjoy it.
For me one of the most disturbing moments in Half-life 2 was in the chapter Highway 17. If you'll get to the first house on the coast you can find some kind of telescope that combines were using to spy on the rebel base. If you will use it, you'll see G-man talking to Odessa Cubbage. That's odd. What G-man said to Odessa? Why Odessa wasn't even shocked or something after such meeting? Why he didn't tell anything about it?

That scene always lightens the mood for me :v:

Not that money should be valuable anymore, but since it's a pretty strong theory that he's just a con-man, I don't doubt he'd keep his mouth shut for such a thing. Plus the G-Man was probably giving him some RPGs and warning of the imminent gunship attack, so maybe Odessa just didn't care who he was and never thought to ask.
the..FUCKING..BOXES every time i break them i feel my life will come to an end Its a NIGHTMARE
Mr. Friendly. Even though he wasn't released, just imagine seeing that thing in gameplay.
Mr. Friendly. Even though he wasn't released, just imagine seeing that thing in gameplay.
He was supposed to knock you out and rape you :v:
He was supposed to knock you out and rape you :v:
and he was aimed at 12 year olds with homosexual fantasies if i remember correctly gabe is one sick fuck
and he was aimed at 12 year olds with homosexual fantasies if i remember correctly gabe is one sick fuck
It's not Gabe who thought up Mr. Friendly. It was some kid who wanted a job as a concept artist.

so the idea was to make people who are afraid of gays shit their pants? replace the whole soundtrack with the Village People and we're done

and just like that its the same conversation as last year, all we need if for another failed fan made ARG (like "Found On The Tape") to tease us before E3 but end up leaving us confused and (somehow) with a creepy in-joke
Without doubt, for me, it was "Radio1.wav" in HL2 (Was it Anticitizen One?). That part of the game shat me up as it was. Revisiting the old areas of C17, once areas of rest, albeit oppression, now lying utterly devastated, distant cries in the background, each wall laying tainted, scarred. Walking through what was once an apartment hallway, the stench of death lingering in the air. You swear you can hear someone whimpering for help, somewhere beneath the vast expanse of rubble. You really think to yourself "After all this, after the rising, was it really worth it? When humanity as we knew it lies broken, only kept alive by a thin veil of hope, was it the right thing to do? To spark all this?". You round a corner, your ears picking up the music. A gunshot rings in the distant background. He looks at you from the television screen.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxLPnMrEvkM
Am I the only one who quite likes that song? It's the little trumpet bit in the beginning. It gives me an otherwordly and alien happiness.
When I first played Half Life 2 it was the demo. I was only... eight or nine years old? Anywho I downloaded the demo to see if I could get an old version of garrysmod then realized I could not so I played the Half Life 2 demo instead. When the beginning City 17 segment was over I instantly shifted over to Ravenholm, thinking it was the backyard of the house I just entered. I proceeded down the hill as the eerie music played until I found the mutilated legs found hanging by a rope and proceeded to repeatedly whack them with my crowbar. Now this was when I was running on my brothers old Quantex with Windows 98 so the framerate was horrible so I hit those legs over and over for awhile until a fucking zombie came out of no where and begin to swipe at me. I screamed so loud my mom thought I had been attacked in some way, shape or form and sprinted down the staircase to see if I was alright. I immediately then shut off the computer and never turned to that demo again. However then my cousin received the Orange Box for his birthday in 2007 and we played through Half Life 2, I watched and as soon I saw him entering that god damn apartment building in City 17 I was out the door. Fucking Ravenholm man, It's ambience is so creepy as you have a trickling thought in your mind what happened to the denizens of the former mining town.
