Dear god Shiro is easy when using a Shadowsong and Dissonance spirit
I can run imperial sanctum if needed. It takes about 1:05-1:15 on average. .
Perhaps later. Doing Proph quests for now. Hopefully it'll carry me halfway to Legendary Survivor (I'm already a third of the way in). [editline]5th March 2012[/editline]
Dear god Shiro is easy when using a Shadowsong and Dissonance spirit
Guess I'll have to bring a Rit hero some time. I'm bad at being a Warrior and need 3 Healers.
I was digging through some old crap I had buried in an external and found an old backup of some bookmarks. I found this among them.

What are good ways to make money in GW nowadays?
What are good ways to make money in GW nowadays?
Playing the game, picking up all loot, selling it. Festival Items--- These are a great way to make come extra cash, there's almost always buyers for those party/sweet/alcoholic items. Farming--- Not really my favorite, but if you're dedicated, you can make a ton of money by farming UW.
i still have a stack of those trick-or-treat bags, i recall someone saying these sell for quite a bit? And I think there's a special item drop weekend on atm, but it's four leaf clovers and shamrock ale only AFAIK
What are good ways to make money in GW nowadays?
If all you care about is consistent reliable cash, DoA is the best answer. You can farm materials to make an easy 10k an hour, but nothing beats DoA unless you have the resources to engage in high end power trades, or can compete in high end gvg. It's easily 100k an hour if you are doing back to back runs with solid people. They always plummet around Halloween and slowly crawl up constantly for the rest of the year.
I don't care what anyone says, UW is hard as a motherfucker. FoW is easier, if not tedious. I just wish I wasn't so cautious of other players to actually join them on runs and shit. A few unpleasant events and Survivor resets later has made me more reliant on Heroes instead of players. It would make Hard Mode EotN/Nightfall areas tons easier since I don't have to manually position my party to stay behind, then come up when the enemies start nuking me. Farming rep is the biggest pain in my rear.
What are good ways to make money in GW nowadays?
FoW speed clear is pretty easy, as a main team caster anyways. As terra 1 I usually get 3-4 shards in 30 minutes. Plus one more from the chest, and two golds and another random item. So about 20-30k in 30 minutes. Plus I got a 30 ecto sword not too long ago. I usually just do a run or two when I need some cash.
Oh yeah, I managed a Celestial Axe from a FoW chest once. I'm not specced into Axe Mastery, so it sits in my chest since it's the coolest fucking weapon I have. But yes, FoW is super easy money granted you don't fuck up at all during the run. That griffon quest royally screws me over since the damn things are stupid and the Skeletal Icehands/Etherbreakers ruin them fast.

Farming rep is the biggest pain in my rear.
UW is extremely difficult for normal teams to complete because of the heavy damage output of some mobs, and the splits required for some of the quests. By contrast it's extremely easy to do HM runs in 25-30 minutes with a team of experienced people because of how powerful specialized builds can be. UW and FoW still pale in comparison to DoA in terms of the money you make per a given time interval. Admittedly a good DoA run requires far better players than a 15-17 minute FoW.
Ugh, fuck DoA. Took two steps in there and died so hard, even I felt it.
It just requires certain effects to become trivially easy to clear, namely an efficient way of negating large amounts of damage, and the ability to do enormous burst damage. Going fast requires considerable skill, but the basic concepts are fairly simple. The mobs there have extremely varied compositions meaning that generic team builds are going to have serious problems clearing it, but speed clears bypass that by operating on the principle that dead enemies do not fight back. Burst things down in 3 seconds and they don't have time to switch targets from the tank. Add in an EoE to ensure that everything dies at once, and then shove the bars full of utility skills for specific points in the run. EDIT: moving this here becaues it would be buried on the bottom of the previous page otherwise. I am finishing off a few ranks on a couple of characters. I will be rapidly farming norn, asura, and vanguard points by vanquishing arbor bay, sacnoth valley, and varajar fells several times. Each one will net 20-25,000 points for their respective areas. I am willing to take a couple of people along with me when I do this. I will use full cons, and we will be using my fully equipped heroes. Runs will take about 40 minutes, with arbor bay taking closer to 45-50. There are a few basic requirements. You must do damage. That means that if you are a monk, run jesus beam. We don't need more healing. Running stuff like life transfer on a paragon (this did happen last time I did this) isn't a good idea. I don't expect builds to have perfect synergy with my heroes, but please try to keep things somewhat sane. You must not have quests that interfere with spawns active. As an example, if you have the quest "A good deed" active, you will prevent 6 bosses from spawning entirely. If someone has a rampage bonus and a boss bounty active you will in essence prevent that person from getting 9000 reputation points. When in doubt, abandon the quest and do it later, or at the very least ask.
It indeed needs a group of people with certain skill sets. I've cleared all story zones with Heroes and henchies, which is annoying as all hell, but anything beyond that is insta-death world. I'd come along on your little rep farm, but I feel I'd fuck it up since I'm still on my Survivor title and I'm way too afraid to die.

Probably run mobius + death blossom and SY or can spec as a caster. Add Eat my caltrops if you want to.

People generally don't die on my little farm extravaganzas. If you do, you lose rampage bonuses which kills the number of points, so I try to avoid pulling the few dangerous enemies in large groups. The odd death does happen, but it is extremely rare unless you are chain pulling even more than I do, or are leeroying off into the sunset by yourself. I have no idea whats happening in that video. I'm also unsure what kind of runes I need for proper speed runs. I typically go with Survivors on all, then a few Major Absorb. Rest is sort of "hey this sounds useful"

Ah. Well it's gonna be a while before I have all the proper Rit skills since I never bothered with Factions. Fun times.
Gonna rebuy Guild Wars on steam and start leveling again ill join the guild or whatever when I get ingame if it is still alive.
I don't know that they are. There aren't enough people here to sustain a guild for very long, and as I've mentioned several times before, there is an enormous disparity between people's interests, skills, and timezones. I made my account when I was in 5th grade, right when it came out, so my username is: Ty Braveheart. Heh.
Boy howdy, the WiK content sure hates single players. It also hates Warriors. Just when I thought I could get past it, it throws mobs that spawn right on top of you. Fun fun fun.
Warriors should actually have a very easy time doing that content because very few of the enemies can adequately deal with the enormous pressure output of 100 blades and several copies of mark of pain. You have enormous AoE damage output potential. Use it.
One minute until 999 hours on my Guild Wars account! Did I win?

And sometimes it'll cause enemies to scatter when my idea is to kill them as fast as possible so I don't have to deal with reinforcements. Guess that's what I get for using Heroes for everything in GW.

Guess that's what I get for using Heroes for everything in GW.
Hundred blades with sun and moon with whirlwind is enormous pressure. When you add on splinter weapons and mark of pain you should easily be causing upwards of 200 damage per auto attack when there are three enemies nearby. Adding on dark fury lets you just chain sun and moon slashes, which while 100b is active will result in your target getting hit by physical damage 4 times. Barbs adds 50-60 damage here. Mark of pain does 150 to anything around that target. How is 100b not insane pressure? The only thing you don't murder is lone enemies, and they should not be your problems. If you position yourself decently, it's extremely easy to deal 300 damage to 5 targets around you when you are chain pulling multiple groups.
