Oh god! Why didn't I think of that?
argh it keeps glitching up http://gw2.luna-atra.fr/skills_tool/?lang=en&code=3810009t87lp4t4u25uu0a04u4u4u4u50505050505667h4h4h4h4h8h8h9hbhlhl i changed the signet to plague signet because i had not realized the amazingness that comes with it also respecced 10 from soul reaping to blood magic because roll blood marks are delicious
The past three days of my friend "So what do you want to play?" "Guild Wars 2." then silence as we both realise we don't want to play our usual games.
The past three days of my friend "So what do you want to play?" "Guild Wars 2." then silence as we both realise we don't want to play our usual games.
exact same thing is happening with two of my irl friends and i on skype we are playing magicka mostly until it comes out :v:
http://gw2.luna-atra.fr/skills_tool/?lang=en&code=34a7g03nm2h679ia60uau00f4fd1k1r2b2e2l Can you guys help me tweak this? I based it on PVP but I don't think builds will differ too much pve vs pvp.
use a 2h sword and and 2h hammer, sword has best damage hammer has best control, i use a signet build on mine, seen people burst down 12khp in one bull charge hundred blades, and it hits many targets, i was running around with 29k hp and huge regens i have changed it slightly to what i used before but you should still have like 20khp atleast regenerate health http://gw2.luna-atra.fr/skills_tool/?lang=en&code=3470003nm2h6794560kaua0f4f4f8fd1k1p1r2b2e2h2l2l2q 15 in defence regen hp determined by adren lvl, i dont use the burst skill much because greatsword auto attacks and hundred blade just hits harder anyway
Ok, I actually made a build, for WvW/PvP. More for WvW since I actually played that, but it should work for PvP. http://gw2.luna-atra.fr/skills_tool/?lang=en&code=3ab6g09a9omfmgmk1000uua787a7e7n7pijir Sword - good mobility to apply blindness on key targets with skill 2, also in range for skill 3. Shield Couples with skill 2 to use skill 5 to push key targets around(away or closer) Shield skill 4 basically goes along with most/all of the traits. Staff for mobility and skill 4 to keep enemies away(or locked in) Skills 6-9 for healing, Skill 7 serves the same purpose as skill 5(but smaller) Skill 8 can help get out of combat(complimenting sword skill 2) Traits are based around tanking and supporting allies around me. Most of the boon traits compliment with shield 4(as well as the virtues) Virtues trait helps keep me alive(good with traits in valor) Basically I'm a super Warrior's banner.
Stop it Informative Man.
Informative man isn't anything compared to Funion. Wait, what, how did Funion get banned? what the shit?
do you guys see the traits im picking coming up? because i dont when i tried opening it 20 strength , major great fortitude and slashing power 10 arms deep strike 30 defence shield master , turtles defence shrug it off 10 tactics , desperate power this is really handy because u regen hp so quick you can stay at 20% for ages i was jumping from 2k to 8k hp back down back up it was crazy greatsword, onehanded sword and shield for shield block if u get rooted
Informative man isn't anything compared to Funion. Wait, what, how did Funion get banned? what the shit?
i made a post that the mod took out of context but was p dumb in the first place oh my god signet warrior build is hilarious
Informative man isn't anything compared to Funion. Wait, what, how did Funion get banned? what the shit?
Found it. http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1179506?p=35790793&highlight=#post35790793 Classy.
i really wana try all these new builds i came up with so many now and feel 10x better than i was at start of beta
Optimistics for everyone
this is why i use toughness regen build its a long wait for bulls rush to come back in that time a full burst warrior like him wil be in trouble

It's basically a stun lock rogue from WoW pre-bc
urrgh yeh, i was in a bg once against 3 hammer warriors who went around together stunlocked to death wasnt fun
Hacks (Winner), Lance and I screwing around
i kind of want them to keep that bug i use that in pvp when defending might try this out next beta for dagger dagger backstab spam http://www.gw2builds.org/create/bwe_1/thief#0.0.0.0-0.0.0.0.0-10.25.25.10.0-11.9.7.3.2.11
I think BC stunlock was way worse. Old Mace Spec in season 3 gear with shadow step+cold blood build.
Dammit, guys, stop talking about WoW
i'm so eagerly anticipating the next beta event that i'm planning out the most optimal set of hotkey bindings help
i'm so eagerly anticipating the next beta event that i'm planning out the most optimal set of hotkey bindings help
Yeah I wonder myself what I should do about the 1-0 skill hotkeys. Quite hard to move around with wasd and reach for utility skills at the same time.
Yeah I wonder myself what I should do about the 1-0 skill hotkeys. Quite hard to move around with wasd and reach for utility skills at the same time.
the letter keys around WASD work fairly well to replace 6-0/f1-f4. that includes QERTGZXCV (F omitted because it works fine left as interact), maybe YHB if you've got nimble fingers though QERTGZXCV covers all but one skill slot but an important thing to keep in mind is that there's different ways of controlling the character to facilitate your binds. you can hold both mouse buttons to run to free up wasd in a pinch, and using mouse turning instead of keyboard turning frees up Q and E if you rebind A and D to strafe. i think R is roll by default, that can be moved to a mouse thumb button (all gamers should) if you have one so that you have full directional control with your keyboard hand. i'd recommend against any modifier keys (shift/ctrl/alt) until arenanet adds in modified binds. frequent alt-tabbing and ui hiding (ctrl+shift+h by default) to take screenshots before i fully explored binds drove me up the fucking wall when my character would stop attacking or roll off a cliff
I think next beta weekend I'll try Warrior and Thief, so far Mesmer and Engineer are hella cool (PISTOL/SHIELD OR NOTHING)
Next beta I think I'm going to try Ranger a bit more, or try a Thief, and go either dual pistols or sword and pistol. Tried dual pistol on Engineer. Kind of felt weird that the Engineer NEVER used his off hand with this layout.
I'm going to keep skills 1-5 on numbers 1-5 but I do agree that the Utility skills can be hard to access. Normally I would use my mouse to click them because I don't use them that often (considering most of them have a long CD). The only thing that really bothered me what having to use F1-F4 to switch attunements as an Elementalist. I have a Logitech G110 with 12 G-Keys but I never find them that convenient or I'm not sure how to properly set them up. Maybe I'll try different setups during the next BWE. Honestly I never use the G-Keys except for Fraps... I'm just not used to having keys over there so I never really attempt to use them. Anybody have any recommendations on how I should set these up? I can keep Utility skills 6-10 but bind those on the G-Keys as well. Throw the F1-F4 on there somewhere because I'll need to be able to switch attunements really quick in combat. [editline]3rd May 2012[/editline] I'm also going to be planning out what I'm going to do in the next BWE. I was to experiment with more stuff before release so that I can learn from any mistakes and not have to worry about them. Crafting is something big that I have to figure out. [editline]3rd May 2012[/editline] I like how the keys are set up around WASD, Q and E to strafe, R to autorun, F to interact. I'm going to keep those that way. Been looking at the default setup and noticed that ZXCV aren't even used. I could use those for the F1-F4. OR the Utility skills! It would make more sense because primary skills are above WASD while the Utility skills are below WASD! Oh god I feel like a genius. :D
I always found strafe keys useless. A and D is fine for strafe. Instead, i replaced Q with heal, and E with elite. Worked wonders and felt great. XCV were utilities. Still not sure where to put attunements.
Good ideas, the Q for heal and E for elites make a lot of sense actually. That and zxc might become my ideal setup. I have a logitech keyboard with G-buttons as well, but I always forget to use them. Now is the time to do something creative with them.

I found that Z was a pain in the ass to press during fast-paced pvp. My thumb didn't like turning that way.
