• How many of you still play your Alpha world?

I name worlds on the month I start them, and use the date as the seed. My oldest world is from November 2010, I however had one from September that I lost, and I really wish I still had. I also regret installing that blasted volcano mod, completely destroyed those worlds. The volcano formed under my house, and somehow my nether gate survived. Anyways, though the homes are ruined in those 3 worlds, I still hop on and just walk around, and just remember. I know someone posted about it earlier, but the November world still has these rather unique trees. [SUB]I also had that one seasons mod installed, hence why there is the tall grass.[/SUB]
I remember playing Minecraft for the very first time. Mobs didn't exist except for the silly human mobs that you could spam with R or something like that. I dug a small trench and then quit - I didn't quite grasp the concept of the game, probably because the concept didn't exist yet :p.
My first world I thought: well mobs won't spawn up high right? So I climbed up a mountain and built a dirt house. I don't even think I knew how to craft. Pretty much all of my worlds after that were on islands where I built little 4 high walls of sand with no roof so mobs couldn't get to me. Also for those of you wondering: "Wouldn't spiders just climb over?". Well this was also before spiders could climb up walls.
Generator Ports is updated for 1.2.5 http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/995672-125-generator-ports/ Has Alpha 1.1.2_01 and Snow, Beta 1.7.3 and 1.8.1, and Indev world generators.

Also, having bright classic lighting is AMAZING. I always loved the look of the classic light, but it was a tad dim for my tastes.
I have my first world somewhere in my email; at least; and if I find it, it's yours, gentlemen.
I wish, but the way games were saved was changed from my first world. Sigh, indev/infdev.
My first alpha save recently got corrupted. I can't play it without dropping to 1 FPS and my CPU nearly melting. :(
I have an alpha world with a cave where I first found gold. There's still a sign there that says "FOUND GOLD HERE!!!!"
Excluding the old creative worlds, I've still got my old pre-infdev indev map gathering dust on my HDD somewhere. I remember holding off moving from my neat castle in a large island map to the glitchy infinite worlds of infdev for as long as possible. I wonder if I could get that old world working in more current versions.
I rage deleted my first world after dieing with my 2nd diamond, three stacks of iron, 2 mushrooms(remember how they used to be rare?), and a flower I found near a lava pool.
My first infdev world should still be out there in my mountains of backed up data somewhere. It started crashing at some point, but I do miss it; I had a massive suspension bridge built across a lake that I spent WAY too much time on... [editline]6th May 2012[/editline] Oh wow, I actually found them, but Minecraft can't find them when I put them in the saves folder. Is there a tool somewhere that can manually convert them to the newer format?
I've played one of my classic worlds on survival It's a pretty nostalgic experience, but when you go to an underground area [t]http://i53.tinypic.com/b5icmu.jpg[/t] Everything starts to feel abandoned and desolate
I've lost all my worlds reinstalling minecraft so many times, I remember my first world I made a water tower and a factory (which was just a room with a bunch of furnaces and crafting tables with a lava floor) I even had a minecart system, but I didn't know how to use boosters (the old exploit with two minecarts) so when I wanted to go back up I just walked back holding my minecart and reset it at the top.
Still had my first alpha world until my HDD died.
I had my alpha world for like a few months, then I found InvEdit and gave myself LOAOOAOADS of TNT, bombed the fuck out of everything and the game crashed. I got a new chunk next to my quarry. Like randomly 30blocks from sea level, there was a dirt chunk :V
OP I must play multiplayer with you also
No because I didn't host the infiniminer server.
These are relevant if you want to relive the old days. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/534818-125-nbxlite-olddays-spawn-human-updated/
I still have my infdev world.
Things were so simple back then, I was a pro at those times. Then, things got complicated. I don't understand you, minecraft. :(.

Everything is pretty straight forward. The only things somewhat complicated is Enchanting, but even that doesn't take long to grasp.
Well anyone know the "gargamel" seed from beta 1.7.3 right? well this is what I got the spawn area to. main area: tower that I built on that sandy chunk right outside the spawn cave. Bit overgrown.

On topic: I lost my world when I decided to download something for my minecraft I turned off my anti-virus and it was never seen again
Nope dont play it anymore :( Dont play Minecraft more got boring after a Time...
I still play my old 404 world! I remember it - my 404 challenge world. How terrified I was sliding down the water in Alpha, worrying about the mobs, doing the old turn monitor downwards trick for lighting, and so on. It's changed from me quivering in a ball after I had a close shot with a creeper to playing "Winds of Adventure" walking around with enchanted armor and tools, conquering the cave.. slowly.

He implied that the 'conquering the cave' part was a long time after he started the 404 world, so it stands to reason that he would be playing in the full release version, especially after he said that he still plays the same world.
someone make a server that has a version of beginning of alpha. Then every week, there is a version update added to the server. then we can see changes :v:
I never played in Alfa
