Not sure if I want to play a Mechanic for its overpoweredness or a crossbowman because there aren't many of them and it'd be a niche. Oh wait, Mechanic isn't unlocked yet. Well, I'll be an Xbowman for now. What server should I play?
Windia/Glacia/Zenith/Broa/Bellocan All servers I've been to without a huge cesspool of idiots
Windia/Glacia/Zenith/Broa/Bellocan All servers I've been to without a huge cesspool of idiots
Bellocan has a huge cesspool of idiots who like to use smegas just to annoy people. Happens about once a week at late night. Other than that though, it's a half-decent population.
I've gotten to Level 101, and leveling is now almost impossible again. Shame, I really want the 4th job for Wild Hunter. Playing on Arcania.
So i started playing. This is too addictive :crying:
So i started playing. This is too addictive :crying:
Tell me about it, playing off and on since beta.

Play in Zenith! Advice for newcomers or old veterans: If you're making a new character it's highly advisable to play in a relatively unpopulated world, due to less lag, cheaper items, more available training areas, etc. Try Zenith, El Nido, Arcania, Kradia, Yellonde... ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ -Playing as bandit, dual blade, wild hunter, crossbowman is not advised; equips are super expensive, due to insane influx of dual blades and wild hunters. Assassins are also extremely expensive due to the fact that they have to buy stars and expensive equips. On the other hand, the cheapest classes continue to be Pages due to their low population and unique weapon (Blunt Weapon) and now Rangers/Wind Archers, due to their decreasing population. And of course mages, but who wants to be a mage? -If you want high damage and you are unfunded, then easy ways to achieve this are to choose the Cygnus Knight Dawn Warrior (or any Cygnus Knight, all of them get an AP bonus) or resistance Battle Mage, both of which have infamously high base damage. -For every character that's at least level 50, there's a good 20-25 mill that can be earned by doing certain quests that give scrolls, see: http://www.basilmarket.com/MapleStory-Guide-Quests-You-Can-Do-To-Make-Money-199.html -Be careful of the FM, don't sell items to merchants, sell items to people who actually need them and who aren't going to sell them again to make a profit off of you. To ascertain the value of an item, try to search for it in the FM rooms. Remember that store prices are going to be inflated and that you can probably sell for 60%-75% of store price in the FM entrance. -Don't spend mesos on equips until you're around level 40, when you'll need the damage for Carnival PQ. Reason being is that from 1-30 you don't really need equips, seeing as you'll be doing KPQ till 30 and the Mushroom Kingdom questline till 35, in which you can obtain special 35 armor by defeating the colored Yeti Bosses near the final stages of the questline. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ More Training Spots 51-70 51-70 Scarecrows at New Leaf City Haunted Mansion 60+ Lord Pirate Party Quest, Master Robos/Robos at Ludibrium 66-70 Twisted Jesters at New Leaf City Haunted Mansion (if you're strong enough) Well that's my mini guide.
51-70 Scarecrows at New Leaf City Haunted Mansion .
Also drakes. MASSIVE mobbing potential. Absolutely HUGE map. 144 exp per kill Nice level 60 drops.
In Korea the Chaos update(PvP) is out in the testing servers. Info found on this blog(Can't find the exact link atm): http://spadow.wordpress.com/ Tommorow I'll start playing this game again after I do some research. Should I go Paladin or Hero? Not going to be funded by another char at all and both are good at solo boss running, which is what I want. [editline]15th January 2011[/editline] Seems like Chaos update adds proficiencies, such as mining and herbalism. Maybe due to Runescape popularity?

Heroes got more oriented towards being bossers with Big Bang. They're one of the few classes that can ignore monster defense, and Enrage adds a whopping +60% damage to one monster. Paladins are more defense / party oriented. They have one of the better party skills in the game (+2 to all 4th job skills), and most of their new skills require shields, restricting them to lower-hitting one-handed weapons. A good one-handed weapon + attack shield can surpass a good two-handed weapon, but that attack shield will cost far more money than most people can get in this game. On top of this, they rely on elemental attacks for damage, and not all bosses have elemental weaknesses.

If you want indepth information on everything and it's mom you should go to southperry(just google around a bit I'm not sure if I can post the website here). Its has a friendly and big community who is eager to know everything and sort everything out months before release.
So I've got a level 11ish spear user still, I got bored with having to grind in between every quest so that I'd be prepared for it. Should I start playing again, or has not much actually changed on that front?

Should I start playing again, or has not much actually changed on that front?
There's barely any grind until like level 30, where you do the mushking quests and that is pretty much a flat grind(but hey a days work gets you 5 levels there) after that you can do CPQ max rombots for like 5 days(playing like 4 hours a day, as I did) and be level 50. Level 50 is where the grind starts but it doesn't get bottleneck boring until like 80. And even then quit playing for a week and play again and if you still like the class you'll play even more.

For every new cygnus knight you create, he or she gets a bonus based on the level of your previous cygnus knight. For example, if you have a level 50 cygnus knight and you make a new cygnus knight, your new cygnus knight will gain a significant bonus of 5 weapon attack, 5 magic attack, etc. etc. If you have a 120 cygnus knight then your new cygnus knight would gain a 12 weapon attack bonus. Considering the fact that people pay up to 60 million for 10 attack work gloves, that bonus is actually really impressive. Also, new characters = more money (due to quests) = better items add me 1DeLaNuit on Zenith, cya online

I'm using my Hero to buff all my other characters, and he gets his bonus from my Aran. I also don't have any Cygnus Knights made right now, so I can't be getting it from them. [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] Oh, I forgot about Ultimate Adventurers. They're basically the same as a regular adventurer, but they can wear equipment 10 levels above them as well as get a Cygnus Skill. They require a level 120 Cygnus to be made, and get a 24 attack bonus from Blessing of the Empress. GMS is most likely getting this one or two patches after Mechanics provided it follows suit to KMS, which we basically have so far.

Name's HeroVideo(or something of the sort) [editline]17th January 2011[/editline]
People still play this?
Yes. Though we might have more people playing on FP if we had a better OP that explained Big Bang
Right, so I've lost all of the info for my first Nexon account, so I'm going to use my latest one. What should I know about new/recently modified classes?

Also, during the Mechanic patch I might make a new thread if nobody minds.
Right, so I've lost all of the info for my first Nexon account, so I'm going to use my latest one. Most explorers got modified to be more on par with the newer classes. Evan and Dual Blader need to buy skill books from the Cash Shop to max some of their skills. Not sure if you can buy them from other people. Mechanic comes out in a day or two, and is pretty much one of, if not the most overpowered class ever.

Not sure with Evan but I've seen the DB books being sold for massive amounts of gold(like 90mil).
Is Big Bang update out for European servers yet?
Is Big Bang update out for European servers yet?
Yeah.
