Added a small mods list to the OP, more shall be added/changed later
Great idea. I'll list all the mods I've currently got installed in case anyone fancies trying some.
Currently installed mods
(In no particular order) Enchanting Freedom http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=7430 More Dragon Loot http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=7423 RNG (Dynamic) Guards http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=10135 Improved Skill Books http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=8607 Followers Keep Up http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=10172 Ask Follower Skills [Vanilla Font] http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=13119 Racial Bonus in Description http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=9638 Enhanced Blood Textures http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=8556 SkyUI (Requires some installation) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=8122 Unread Books Glow http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=9846 Craftable Arrows http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=8434 Money Crafting and Gold Smithing http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=8201 Lightweight Potions and Poisons http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=7520 House Map Markers http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=7440 Arrows Stick http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=8890 If anyone has any questions about the above mods feel free to ask. I've used or come across all of them in some way or another. I really like simple mods that change a slight detail or value within the game, especially as IMO it's far too early in the games life-span to start using overhaul packs.

The return of Palpatine! I also forgot to mention he collects skulls.
Why is this one of the top mods?
Go back in time, take a look at the Oblivion nexus 2 months before skyrim. There's probably some mathematical equation for it, where the quality of "hot files" deteriorates at a compound scale over time.
I'm suprised there's been no mods about rimming to be fair...
I'm sorry what do you mean by this. Is this what I think it is.
Speaking of oblivion nexus, this looks pretty neat though http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=42037 [t]http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/images/42037-2-1334772745.jpg[/t]

Its essentially just green.

Well his mod description more or less hit the nail on the head.
This mod replaces Orcs' head mesh and textures in the attempt to make them look less dumb
[editline]25th April 2012[/editline] Notice he says "less" as its simply not possible to be 100% not dumb with oblivion facegen system. [editline]25th April 2012[/editline]
Thinking of starting a new game of Morrowind. Been three years since the last one, holy shit.
http://morrowindoverhaul.rpgitalia.net/ Do it.
[THUMB]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/541799806560504742/736F9ED3F87BF963D7268B4F720A15EF3C1CEF0E/[/THUMB] Finally stopped lurking and posted in the hopes of getting some help. There's this weird entrance to the left of the gateway to Whiterun, right beside the stairs, and it has been annoying the Hell out of me for awhile now. Worst part about it is that it's persisted through multiple vanilla installs, completely disabling Steam Cloud Sync, and even a total system restore (I don't have any mods activated that change the world space either). :suicide: Anyone have any idea how I could go about fixing it?
Probably just a map design error, unless I'm reading this incorrectly. There's lots of crap like that where Bethesda didn't "close the gaps" in terrain.
My battlemage turned into a Vampire :v: Now I work for the dark brotherhood, and I'm using a vampire revamp mod to keep things fun. I can't help but feel OP though.
What's the best lighting mod to get
Yeah if you want to make the aldmeri dominion have an easier time kicking the empire's then skyrim's ass.
So, the Empire would beat the Aldmeri dominion? Because it worked so well the last time. [editline]26th April 2012[/editline] Still, I wish you could Kill Ulfric in the Stormcloak campaign.
A few of you may remember how I bought skyrim, waited a whole month for it to arrive, it arrives with no CD key, and somehow my dad fixed that. he told me how he got the key, he just went off to the nearest EB Games shop, found a PC Skyrim case with the manual inside, took a photo of the key, then ripped off part of the key, then gave the case and manual to the desk and went 'Oh I was just looking at this and I found the key is trashed' I guess it all works out. I mean, I bought the game for 50 bucks out of my own money, game was useless without a key, my dad 'stole' a key, but then damaged the key so the copy would get thrown out. (Like most stores the disc isn't put into the case after you buy it)
So, the Empire would beat the Aldmeri dominion? Because it worked so well the last time.
Re-assemble Numidium and they'd be able to kill pretty much everything. Would be kind of recycling story elements if it actually happened, through.
The God Talos, also known as Tiber Septim is on the Stormcloaks side though. Which is kind of Ironic, since he's the founder of the Third Empire. But as said in Skyrim, "The Empire is dead." So basically, the Empire in Skyrim is the "Fourth Empire", which is something different than the one we know out of Morrowind or Oblivion.
Oh god, this is so good.
Fun things to do as a vampire?
The God Talos, also known as Tiber Septim is on the Stormcloaks side though.
if Talos is a firm supporter of segregation then he isn't really worth worshipping
if Talos is a firm supporter of segregation then he isn't really worth worshipping
He isn't. The whole racial segregations is all Ulfrics decision. Most Stormcloak-sided characters are agains that, and often against Ulfric.
The god Talos founded the current empire, and isn't pronouncing himself in any side of the Civil War. It is not like the empire wants to remove workship to their ascended to godhood founder who was also dragonborn, and whose last known descendant pretty much saved Mundus from fucking Mehrunes Dagon by turning into a fucking avatar of fucking Akatosh. They have trouble negotiating, that's the cost of having the current imperial line being born from war, and them sucking at making treatys. Still better than the "Skyrim for the nords, but the Forsworn have no right to ask to have the Reach for them" Stormcloaks anyday. Not to mention: Talos is holding the world together, the Thalmor want that to stop, the Thalmor believe having a raging Civil War in Skyrim is good, and think of Ulfric as an asset. Talos doesn't want one side to exterminate the other, Talos wants them to stop squabbling about nonsense, beat the elves in combat, and then everybody resumes workship of Talos. Not just Skyrim, but the whole of the Empire/Tamriel. Because the Stormcloaks only care for Skyrim.
He isn't. The whole racial segregations is all Ulfrics decision. Most Stormcloak-sided characters are agains that, and often against Ulfric.
then maybe they should stop doing everything he says? the dude suckers people into listening to him by pretty much challenging the size of their dick, this is not the kind of guy you want in charge of a nation [editline]26th April 2012[/editline]
That sounds like pulled of out thin air.
you seem to think the Empire doesn't want people to worship Talos he doesn't take a side because he's a fucking god, as long as there's people worshipping he don't give a fuck because he has literally transcended caring about shit like that
It's even common sense that a God would rather side with the People who Worship him.
And a god would know WHY other people stopped workshipping him. Remember than Imperials are pretty much tanned Nords.
It's even common sense that a God would rather side with the People who Worship him.
Yeah, but the Imperials don't have much of a problem with worshipping him. It's just that the Thalmor are dicks so they won't let them. The only logical thing to do is for the Stormcloaks to actually help the Empire fight back against the Thalmor. Breaking up Skyrim ain't gonna do a whole lot to help matters, other than A) weaken the Empire (the one force large enough to contest Thalmor rule), and B) weaken the Stormcloaks with their unecessary civil war. tl;dr Ulfric is a racist cunt who thinks he can take on a huge empire with a single country (if anything it's half a country, as not everyone agrees with him) and also believes that huge, multinational empire that's actually willing to help would be useless in doing so because "true nords blah blah blah"
I can never decide which side to support, they're both as bad as each other to me. I think the Stormcloaks have better clothes, and the Empire has the nicest cities. The Stormcloaks are douches towards non-Nordic races (Galmar Stone-Fist's brother is a good example), yet the Empire tries executing you because to let you go would mean more paperwork for them. Also, evading arrest seems far too easy in Skyrim. In Oblivion, you could do something wrong and soldiers would immediately charge up on sight and give you an ultimatum. In Skyrim, the hold guards will just comment that they recognize you and you have nothing to worry about unless you speak to them or get caught directly.

And that's while I said all things considered. Stormcloaks is the lesser Evil. Also, killing Thalmor is so satisfying. I make sure to pass by their Embasy every now and then to kill a few of them. A shame that It's unlocked only for that one quest. I'd love a DLC focusing on fighting against Thalmor.
