http://breachgame.com/ Breach is a downloadable PC/Xbox 360 multiplayer tactical FPS by Atomic Games with a cover system and a destruction system more advanced than any game before it. It uses the same engine as the game that was supposed to come out called "Six days in Fallujia". the game will release on January 26th for $19.99 This game looks really good for 20 dollars, saw this game a long ass time ago on kotaku and was really excited for it. Now it just got put up on Steam and the date was set for the 26th. Since this game pretty much had no advertising, or any short notice of release date, I made this thread so it could get some attention.
Looks decent, the gameplay doesn't really look like it's worth $20 though. maybe a $10 game
Looks pretty sweet, it's hard to say no to destructible environments.
Cover system looks pretty generic. Now, red orchestra 2's cover system is fucking revolutionary
DMM doesn't make good games, but it sure as hell makes good games better. [editline]25th January 2011[/editline] The HUD looks a lot like BC2
Also, I'm not a graphics nut but it reminds me of a mixture between (modern combat fps)+tf2+battlefield heroes [editline]24th January 2011[/editline] Destruction looks cool though.
I find that it's uneccessary for them to use perks for this game. It makes it seem like they are trying to get into that CoD market (which probably won't happen as many fans of the series aren't open to new games). The destructible environment looks cool though. [editline] 24th January 2011 [/editline] Damnit, MagicBurrito beat me to it .
+20 XP KILL :frog:
Looking forward to the engine though, since they have been to work on it for fucking ages. Meant as a engine used for military simulators. Too bad 6 days in falujiah was canceled because of the controversy. Now we get this cod type game and then the realistic one, 6 days in falujiah is coming out later I think.
so basically the cover system is like rainbow six vegas 2
so basically the cover system is like rainbow six vegas 2
Looks slightly better, though.
so basically the cover system is like rainbow six vegas 2
I do not see that as a bad thing at all.
I am interested in the destruction physics and the engine, I think the gameplay is silly though like some cheap multiplayer FPS games like Warrock.
I don't really like the 3rd-person cover system. Why take it out of 1st?
Someone tried to steal this game at PAX East. That's how good this game is.
I saw somebody steal Lego Starwars from a store, what's your point. [sp]I didn't alert the store clerk because he was a dickhead.[/sp]
I do not see that as a bad thing at all.
didn't say it was
Looks really cool to me. I about jizzed when I saw them shoot out a support beam and the shack looking thing fell forward. If it turns out to not be good at least it would only be $20 wasted.
I saw somebody steal Lego Starwars from a store, what's your point. [sp]I didn't alert the store clerk because he was a dickhead.[/sp]
The point is that the guy actually fucking ran up to the booth at a large gaming convention, swiped the laptop holding the unreleased game and tried to run off with it. :P

Nyeh, will hold out for Bodycount.
I wish there was a demo, it looks pretty fucking generic and I don't wanna waste 20 dollars on it for it to be a piece of shit. [editline]24th January 2011[/editline] Oh, MP only? I'm not gonna buy it then. Don't get me wrong, it looks awesome and I love multiplayer games, but I doubt a lot of people will be playing it.
TOSSIN' A FRAEG! This game looks rather bad though
Well it looks like if it didn't have that destruction, it would be pretty generic but since the destruction is there I say it's worth a try.
Seems like a completely usual FPS these days, except for the cover system and the destruction, and frankly, I don't think many people will remember that you can destroy things. If there's a demo, and it's good, I'll buy it, but not otherwise. No single-player, either.
15 quid god damn I was hoping it would be 10
It'll probably end up like Lead and Gold. Fun little game, not much to do, no one plays it, gets boring.
Games out for only 11 dollars. Pretty cheap if you ask me. Gonna post later on telling if it's good or not.
Is it good or not then?
I have enough dam shooters, then this comes along begging you for 20 dollars.
I found this pretty helpful... I'm not getting it.
