I agreed with CardBoardBox and Pelf that they could use my docking ring on the space station parts. I sent it to CardBoard so he could easily make a docking module around it, agreeing that once it was textured by Kyle, I'd make a thread for it.
Ignoring everything we discussed, he promptly incorporated it into UUi while I was asleep and uploaded the file for anyone to download. When I saw this, I asked him why he disregarded everything I said, so he accused me of getting angry for no reason and then he removed the thread completely and went offline.
I want to collaborate with you CardBoardBox, but it's very frustrating when you make drastic moves while I'm asleep without consulting me at all. I now have no fucking idea what you're doing because you won't COMMUNICATE.
I hope everything works out.
i have to buy my copy, since i did some ~graphic design~ work and got 10 bucks :D
You went to the photoshop contest section, didn't you.
CardBoardBox are you using blender to model ?
if so can you direct to any tuts you found usefull
I use Blender. This is the tutorial that taught me how to make radially symmetrical objects: http://cgcookie.com/blender/2009/08/10/creating-a-lightbulb-part-1/

Going to bed now, no doubt when I wake up he'll have remade everything to remove all ties with me, rendering my things utterly redundant.
please dont fight i like you all equally :(
i hate it when mummy and daddy fight :(
Yall bash on Nova. but Winston is worse. Far worse. Guy is never happy and is very unpleseant to deal with in steam Chat. Nova is actually a really nice guy.
As sexy as the station parts look with AO, Blender is being really stupid and the AO Bake thing won't work on any of the other models except the radiator.
Ladies, ladies, let's not get a bee in our collective bonnets.
What video should I do next?

Okay, that's the stuff that starts flamewars right there.

Stop. Winstonn is just angry that you released it without his knowlege.

But, isn't it like much more useful to save stuff like ship heading, velocity, and position, and then at the loading let the game calculate the orbits from that data?
That's possible, yes, and also much easier than what we are doing here, but the big problem is that saving a position vector is inaccurate at long ranges. That is, everything around the current focused ship would be fine, but things orbiting other planets for instance, would be saved with inaccurate data, which means every time you load the game, things will be somewhere else.
Also, saving orbital parameters allows us to fast-forward time without actually having to simulate the solar system (excepting hyperbolic orbits, that is), and this way we retain all the accuracy we can, because orbital parameters are all relative to the planet/moon being orbited, no matter where it is.
BTW, I've just fixed the hyperbolic orbits here. Things seem to be working just the way they should now.
Now, onto the other issues.
Suddenly so much drama.
Let's just be friends and talk this over without fighting?
But winstonn ain't even mad, unlike nova was.

Just glaze over it.
Which is why Dacheet is here with a quote.

Dacheet is credit to team!

hardly. He is more mad I made the thread it seems. i told him I preferred his for the UUi but i guess I don;t understand him and he doesn't understand me. But i hardly get angry about it :/ i mean geez. he is like Steve jobs and i am like Bill gates i guess.
anyway I am fixing this problem, whatever it is I am still not sure exactly...
If anyone here has experience in Blender, could you tell me how to fix the error I'm getting when I try to bake AO? It says "No objects or images found to bake to". I'm in Edit mode, I gave the model a material, I made a new image; I'm doing everything that I did before with the expansion cap which worked but these won't.
I wish Inventor wasn't so damn expensive, then I could help people.
Got my copy for free (student license.)

You know if yall want to Model might try Gmax? it is a free no need for student id version of 3ds max but a little crumblier. It would be easy to convert from it to kerbal stuff :)
I could make parts but Inventor doesn't export to DAE.
Can't wait for some penis and vagina docking action
Make parts then send them to box or someone who can convert them into .DAE?

True, but here's two reasons why I wouldn't do it.
1. I'm almost always busy with friends, games, or my special someone.
2. I can't texture for shit.
I can't do anything worth shit, doesn't stop me from trying. The more you do it, the better you'll get.
i can texture sort of :P
as for exporting. what does it export too? i could assist you.
anyway. saw in UUi thread Winston said nevermind about all the rage so I put the thread back to normal. I am so confused lol. but glad that is over with. back to Mir parts :D

So it is kind of a "demo" version of 3ds max? Similar to the Softimage XSI thing (the free version of Autodesk's modeling program)?
