Went to the NW airfield on US1 with a buddy, bandit in the control tower killed him. Shot at him, broke his legs, he got back up, ran down the stairs and disconnected or something. Never saw him again. Oh well, at least I now have a coyote backpack from him. :v:
Simply make disconnecting have the player sitdown and wait for 20 seconds.
Simply make disconnecting have the player sitdown and wait for 20 seconds.
Meh, people would just ALT + F4 out.
Meh, people would just ALT + F4 out.
That would count as disconnecting too.
I went into EU1, found a tent by NW where is connected, stole an M4 Holo (with grenade launcher) and am currently on my way the fuck out of there with this nice loot. Probably won't head back to NW for a long time, a M4 Holo is pretty fucking sweet.
Me and Norzone are currently farming loot on US4 at the FP Airfield, If you come on US4 come over to us. Make sure you say though >.<
I found a great singleplayer scenario called "Lost", which is pretty much ARMA if it was a singleplayer RPG. You start off alone in a random corner of the map, with a gun, 3 magazines and a box. Whole map is taken over by OPFOR. Then you have to scavenge random vehicles and houses for guns and ammo, while avoid or fighting OPFOR patrols (until they send a chopper after you and you have to leg it, asap). Sometimes you can find wounded BLUFOR soldiers or militia and they will join you. It gives a great sense of progression, when you start off alone with pretty much nothing, find some companions, fight enemy patrols and take all their weapons and before you know it, you've got several guerrilla groups, driving around in stolen APCs and you yourself nick a chopper and take over the whole map. That's what I call a great fucking ARMA scenario. Though I wish there was an option to build your own bases, Warfare-style, by looting houses and enemies for money and supply.
Do I need to disable anything from DayZ to play this?
Does anyone know any Coop scenarios for two or three people for CO? I'd like to take a nice break from DayZ.
Do I need to disable anything from DayZ to play this?
You definitely do to play online I believe, although for Singleplayer everything should work fine as DayZ is mostly a custom gamemode utilising stuff from the mod files and nothing replaces anything or modifies existing gameplay, it's just resources. I think.
Is it possible for players with just ArmA 2 to play with those who have CO? I have a friend who just has ArmA 2 and I want to play Harvest Red (ArmA 2 campaign) with him.
CO is basically Operation Arrowhead with the ARMA 2 content loaded in, so no. But since you have CO you can just launch the game as normal ARMA 2 too. Just launch the game from the ARMA 2 exe instead of the Operation Arrowhead one.
* [NEW] Server will sometimes remove a partially used magazine on disconnect Welp, there goes my infinite ammo.
I wanted to start a brand new ArmA 2 game. So I deleted local game content and reinstalled it but it turns out all my old addons were still there. This time I deleted the folder. Will that actually get rid of them this time? I don't want to wait another hour or two for it to install and have to delete everything again.
A military camp was added to Berezino, doesn't seem to contain much as Stary but I'm generally happy about this. Except now more people will come here, fuck.
Getting money soon, a friend pointed me towards the Arma2Free, pretty much full Arma II without HD textures, Addons, and the campaign, thinking about buying it soon, any normal FP servers?
Manged to get a chopper in the air at electro, only thing fixed was the main rotor and fuel tank with one can of fuel in it. I wrestle it off the roof of the firestation and landed it in the field north of electro. Within seconds i am swarmed by survivors on all sides shooting makarovs trying to get in the chopper...dumb asses don't even realize its not flyable. 3 people end up killing each other and bleeding out over the damn thing.

All the servers require mods nowadays. In fact, there aren't that many players there either, DayZ has taken what's left almost. Excluding gaming community groups who play on certain days and whatnot.

I'm basically at the NE air field. When you dudes log on tomorrow, can I get some painkillers? I have some ammo to trade, if needed
NE Airfield on US4 is claimed for facepunch, The control tower is pretty caded up. [t]http://i.imgur.com/E0IZC.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/azFBY.jpg[/t] Goon's dream is coming true in a diffrent area, eh?
DISREGARD THAT I SUCK COCKS I'm on my way.
what server
US4.
My friend has the steam version of ARMA2 and the non-steam version of Arrowhead acquired from Sprocket. How would he go about installing this? Launching Arrowhead with the DayZ stuff target string added disables Combined Arms (we know this based on it not showing ARMA 2 and ARMA 2 AO on the bottom left).
I wish I could play with you guys but /typicalsobstory my computer hates Arma 2. 2.2GHz AMD Phenom 9500's are really old. Although it does run really nice on single-player with nothing on the map except me and 1 vehicle.

I gained over 30 to 40 fps in Arma 2 alone with this thing.
I have a bunch of friends that are absolutely shit at flying anything. This made me decide to host some sort of training camp for them so that they can learn how to fly and drive shit. Would anyone in here also be interested in such things?

I'd be pretty interested.
I consider myself pretty good at flying transport chopper, but I'm terrible at fixed-wings and attack choppers. I'd be pretty interested.
I'm great at anything that's a chopper, even the Osprey (Though the lack of auto-hover and huge size of this thing sucks sometimes, I rarely land with auto-hover but when I need to land somewhere extremely tight, it's really useful, yesterday I had to land this huge ass Osprey in a forest with a landing about as big as the Osprey itself, trying to get that thing stable was utter shit but I got it in the end and extracted the guys.) My favorite chopper has to be the little birds, they're so god damned agile, but at this point, all the choppers flies the same, some are just more agile. I'm decent at fixed wings, not as good as choppers but decent, I can easily target anything on the ground and support infantry but if it's a dogfight, unless I have the surprise factor on me and get to lock on to another jet, I'm probably going to blow up or just pull out and hit and run. I'll see what I can do if people are interested, unsure how much people my internet connection can handle at once, I've been playing with 4 players excluding me without noticeable lag. I only have 1 mb/s upload speed. Thinking about it, I've played this game for years so I know my way around almost anything, navigation with GPS or the sun or commanding a tank or zeroing and eyeballing distancing, you name it.
