How do I change the world for my server?
So far I got Essentials and GroupManager to work. Time to try and get DefaultCommand to work
How do I change the world for my server?
Replace the world file, or you can delete it and the server will automatically make a new random one.
why don't they just expand the 128 barrier already i don't like trying to build a huge building only to realize that i reached the top already

but i want the SMP to be that high too
Well then make a mod for it.

After he fixes all of the memory leaks and glitches, of course :v:
So I heard there's a minecraft mobile in the works, is this true?
And on that note, I'd like Notch to implement Volcanoes, please. After he fixes all of the memory leaks and glitches, of course :v:
That'd be cool. Random eruptions to cause chaos?
This is a fantabulous idea. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/eRcc9.jpg[/img_thumb]
I think Minecraft needs more large scale variety and this could help with that. For example, biomes should be much larger than they actually are, and realistically located geographically. No more deserts next to snow biomes, things like that. During world generation water should be a much larger factor - sculpting the landscape into valleys realistically. I don't know... the Earth would make such a good Minecraft map because there's so much variety. In Minecraft, variety begins to wear thin after a while, interesting geographical locations are weirdly shaped hills and floating islands, but you don't get things like the grand canyon or the amazon rainforest. I mean, doing something like that would be very hard and wouldn't change gameplay much at all - but it would give game worlds some much needed variety. My most anticipated feature is the additional of more rpg-style elements like AI towns, dungeons, that kind of thing. Having interactable human NPCs who can dynamically affect the world, build buildings, strip mines, would make the game a much better experience in single player. Once you've played SMP there's no going back...
volcano :eng101:
cows keep walking into it like some kind of cow suicide cult
Cows in minecraft are missing chromosomes. Their eyes are so empty LOOK AT HIS EYES, LOOK AT IT
Well then make a mod for it.
I know nothing about java :saddowns:
That'd be cool. Random eruptions to cause chaos?
You no longer have to worry JUST about Creepers, but now Creepers and sudden Volcanoes :v:
I know nothing about java :saddowns:
then dont complain 0mg
Who else laughed when they read this page. Haha, I think that game will be proof that minecraft is a one-hit-wonder.
But you'd have to be incredibly high for that to happen, also, it isn't unreasonable to have the bottom 9 or so chunks below you always loaded, so that if you free-fall you'd always have 9 chunks of always loaded space to land on.
And if you had mountain interstate? Loading 9 chunks under you at minecart speed?
I think Minecraft needs more large scale variety and this could help with that. Also about Earth. I wouldn't mind a separate world generation setting where you could set a scale to generate Earth, maximum being 1:8 :v: I'd probably play at 100:1 scale. Plenty of space. [editline]4th March 2011[/editline] Oh and I see shitposting is getting some RPM?
Who else laughed when they read this page. Haha, I think that game will be proof that minecraft is a one-hit-wonder.
nobody is going to play that
This is a fantabulous idea. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/eRcc9.jpg[/img_thumb]
I'm pretty sure you're a little mixed up there. The second image clearly goes over the 128 vertical limit.
Who else laughed when they read this page. Haha, I think that game will be proof that minecraft is a one-hit-wonder.
I cried when i saw that. Mojang better not really make that game or it will be their downfall.
Guys, I think the Ventlegille IP from the OP is whack, I cant even connect to the server.
Guys, I think the Ventlegille IP from the OP is whack, I cant even connect to the server.
They got a new IP, check the actual server thread
Guys, I think the Ventlegille IP from the OP is whack, I cant even connect to the server.
Yes it is, look in the server thread for the new one.
I cried when i saw that. Mojang better not really make that game or it will be their downfall.
It's not like they'll stop on Minecraft, it's not going to make Minecraft's sales drop, they can just keep going. They're indie so they can do whatever the fuck they want, and this just happens to be what they want to do. They have more ideas. Different ideas. They will come.
