• Effects of playing MineCraft too long?

I played this game and got addicted. I played all day and night during the week. The weekend came up and I went out with friends and I felt really sick, every time I'd close my eyes I'd feel like I'm digging out tunnels or something with a diamond pick axe. It's hard to explain but like, it was almost as if I was being put into MineCraft. It was like that for a few days. Oh, and trying to sleep was a problem , it was almost as if I was never tired and I just wanted to play. Anyone else have weird experiences like this?
this is just you get help/stop playing
sometimes people make bad threads after playing too much minecraft
I punch trees now.
Hey OP,in your condition what would you do if you picked up a pick axe in real life?
It's called the Tetris Effect. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetris_effect It's happened to me once or twice too. I was sorta looking around my apartment and envisioning it like it was organized based on a square grid system. Like every tile on the floor was one unit of space and everything else in the room was built based on the same proportions. Generally this happens if I play a lot right before bed.
I've had this happen to me due to playing too much Flight Simulator. When I was trying to fall asleep I kept hearing radio transmissions running through my head. "Kilo-foxtrot, taxi to runway 31L." It was creepy as fuck. :ohdear:

I had this happen after a weekend of nothing but minecraft. it's difficult to separate real life from the game, you feel as if you're still playing even though you aren't. I didn't really get sick from it, it's just an "out of body/reality" type of feeling
It's called TRON Disease. Look it up.
If you mean just seeing Minecraft when you close your eyes, that's not a big deal. It happens when playing any video game for too long. For instance if you play Guitar Hero too much when you close your eyes you will see the conveyor belt for the notes.
Well, you're fucked. Haha, just kidding. I'm not going to shit on this thread. You should probably put soap in your eyes.
Sometimes I play Minecraft for so long that I compulsively produce a symphony to summarize my experience. :v:

Sometimes when I play Counter Strike until like 5 AM, and then go to sleep when I have to wake up an hour later, I wake up babbling CS-related stuff like "That bitch doesn't know how to defuse" or "Why the fuck did I have to reload right then?" It freaks people out. Back when I lived at my parents', they had gotten used to being called terrorists before work in the morning.
I'll play Battlefront for several hours and go off imagining how that engagement could have gone down the other way. I did catch myself wondering if I had left the porch light on at dusk the other day. If a creeper spawned next to my bedroom, it would really screw my shit up. Plus, the respawn's on the other side of town! ...right time for bed.

Some Creeper blew up infront of my fucking house and broke like three windows and I got all pissed off and yelled at my Cat who was sniffing a box behind me and blamed him.
Once while I was really fucking tired I was trying to punch the wall to destroy it.
Reminds me of when I played too much WW2 Online I always refused too go near churches. For awhile people would go, "Why?" my simple response was that I just was never a big fan of churches. Truth be told... I was afraid of French snipers... Laying down under the bell, watching, waiting for that one moment too pull the trigger, and pick off a Greenhorn in the field, and giving away my posistion. I know that sounds cheesey, but whenever I walk by a church near a gun range, and I hear a bullet shot I jump for cover, and wait for the gunfire to subside. It scares the living shit out of me. I played guitar hero for like six hours straight, and drinked a red bull. Looked over at my couch, and it looked like it was melting upwards.
this happened to me with sim city 4, every time i would close my eyes i would see that damn zoning system
Take some Tylenol right now or anything you have for fevers OP, you have a fever. What happens (at least to me) when I have nasty fever and I played a lot of video games I start hallucinating that I'm playing a game, and I can't get out of it. It has happened to me twice in a row, once with Asteroids and another with Combat Evolved. I suggest you get some rest immediately, take anything you have for fevers, and chill the fuck out; do not drink cold drinks. First hand experience. Edit: Why the funnies? This is serious.

Something is wrong with me to, I saw circle breasts, and I freaked out.
I have an air freshener downstairs that makes a hissing sound every twenty minutes or so. Every night when I'm trying to sleep and I hear that hiss I see a creeper looking through the slot in the iron door I made waiting for me to come closer with its deep penetrating eyes. And whenever I pass by cows while I'm in the car I imagine them to be like in Minecraft with their moos sounding like, "NOOOOO!"
You don't sleep-walk. You sleep-tree-punch.
A church near a shooting range? You live in the hicks mate?
Nope... Just Tucson, or in general... Arizona has enough churches to make the Pope jizz himself.
I got the same thing, except with Zelda. Every time I got mail I would drop to my knees and feel a holy light on my shoulders while a little jingle played. It was really odd.
