however most of the players are of a better level than the average pubbie and the servers are usually adminned regularly, so you don't have to worry about hackers as much. I don't give a shit about the players as long as they don't hack.
That's the thing. Most of them do hack. A lot of Promod players are also owners of Codehook, one of the larger communities my brother used to pop onto regularly when he played it would constantly find out that other members had the hack (and then demonise them, even though they themselves had the hack too). But most of them either didn't buy the aimbot package for it, or avoid using the aimbot while on servers. A lot of them do have the ESP enabled instead, and just cover themselves up a lot.

I wouldn't say the majority of the community hacks however, if that was the case, why would large teams sponsor CoD4 promod anyways for cash prizes? I never really got into the tourney/ladder scene in CoD4 anyways, CoD2 I did for a bit (it's still big, but ffs, even CS 1.6 has penetration, while CoD2 doesn't, and that pissed me off royally)
MW3 I guess it's kinda to be expected as it's the most popular, but I'm sick of being on a team full of idiots while the enemy team has decent people on it.
Funny, that also happens to me. MW1 I was always on the better teams, MW2/BO was a balanced mix, but MW3 seems to be 70% losses and 30% wins. I really hate the dynamic of the games in MW3. If I could compare, MW1 is like 64 players metro on BF3 conquest, where people stay in one place trading fire with the other team, and my favourite kind of games, except its easier to get past by them since people don't revive each other and are easier to kill. Plus, killstreaks are EASY to earn. A UAV almost guarantees you a 10 kill streak with or without using other killstreaks. MW2 was harder. People are randomly scattered around the map, and then suddenly, some guy who comes out of nowhere ends your streak. And you get to shoot and see less people. MW3 is a cesspool... Maps are even more crammed up, that you always spawn next to the enemy, and 5 seconds of walking take you to the enemy team. [editline]20th March 2012[/editline] well, that's competitive gaming, tourney fags restrict most things because facts are, certain things are OP and unbalance the game. However generalizing the community like that isn't necessarily good. A lot of competitive gaming is good fun, playing scrims is a lot different than playing pubs, and arguably more fun since you're a coordinated team fighting a coordinated team. That appealed to me, because the closest I got to that experience before was playing BF2 with a good team and commander.
I hate coordinated competitive teams mainly because they just muck up all the fun in the game. A bunch of people working together? Fine, but a whole 5 man squad that kills you and everyone else in unison. I hate that soo much. That and clans dedicated to troll that rocket you as soon as you go through a door.
And prone diving. And not-retarded killstreaks.[editline]20th March 2012[/editline]And good netcode, but hell that was in MW2.
Man... dolphin diving+Olympia is domination
cod4 is still damn fun to play WAY better on pc
cod4 is still damn fun to play WAY better on pc
Bloc, Max of 6 players, FFA will give you one of the MOST suspenseful MP matches ever, especially when snipers are used....
MW3 or BO? xbox
get it on pc unless you want 10 million children playing with you
MW3 or BO? xbox
Black Ops is way better than MW3.
>Prestige for the first time >Get to level 16 first match after
god punkbuster is the biggest piece of shit in the world i don't even know how to install it
Went 55 kill and 22 deaths with a friend once with online Domination on Dome on mw3. Pulled off getting 3 pred missiles, 2 Reapers, and 2 AC-130s. And supposedly, according to a person at my school, it never happened because I didn't record it with an "HD pvr". I can't cough up $60+. ANd he also doesn't believe theatre cant upload to youtube, lol.
and you should care about this person's opinion why?
cod4 is still damn fun to play WAY better on pc
We did a lanparty during IT, CoD4 on 16 macbooks. Everyone's KD sucked because we were using the trackpads :v:
After using primitive $5 office mouses for my entire life, yesterday I got this beauty. Playing at 2500dpi will take some time to get used to, but the movements are damn smooth.
My god it looks beatiful! What kind of model is it?
G300. I was looking for something cheap and it turned out to be the best choice.
G300. I was looking for something cheap and it turned out to be the best choice.
I might actually buy this one, I'm also using a cheap as hell mouse :v:
I have a G500 myself, was looking between getting a G700 or a G500 but the G700 has the exact same specifications except that it's wireless.
Anyone else have a problem staying in games on the PC version? Trying to get back into this game after BF3 frustration but every 3rd lobby or so it sticks at Waiting... for a good minute and I just quit and re-queue. Is it a problem with my internet?
I might actually buy this one, I'm also using a cheap as hell mouse :v:
I read that as "ball mouse" and thought... dear god.

Even enjoyable to see. Hence why I hated the party system in MW2 and MW3. You would get a team with Lv.1 to 70 maybe, and then a full team of Lv.70 10th prestige or something of the sort that piledrive the other team. I hate that. Why are the running animations for guns so horrible on MW3, it's pathethic how stupid it looks.. totally spastic with shotguns.
I can even see you *.* ... How much?
About $46, including shipping. This is the lowest price I could find online.
About $46, including shipping. This is the lowest price I could find online.
It's a decent mouse, but you can get the G500 for about the same price.
CoD4's campaign is difficult, even on regular, although i'm not doing any favors for myself by playing it on veteran...it was still rather difficult first time around, the goddamn USMC missions were painful as fuck...

Not awful as in bad but really hard. [editline]21st March 2012[/editline] I only tried the first few WaW missions on veteran then changed to hardened... the damn grenade spam is unbearable.
It's a decent mouse, but you can get the G500 for about the same price.
Not in Poland, it costs about $20 more here. Which makes a huge difference for me.

[editline]21st March 2012[/editline] I only tried the first few WaW missions on veteran then changed to hardened... the damn grenade spam is unbearable.
The grenade spam in CoD4 is quite bad, especially on the USMC and joint op missions I noticed. But holy hell WaW cranks it up a notch. Blowtorch and Corkscrew is a lesson in patience, you will die many, many times in the very first bit, let alone the parts where you actually start destroying bunkers (admittedly, bumrushing them with the explosives worked far too well). The second to last Russian level is also a fucking nightmare on Veteran. I actually felt slightly like I had achieved something by the end of it all. It took ages to finish on Veteran because the AI cheats so damn much.
