So, if i only buy one grand strategy game which one should i get?
I would say Victoria 2 imo.
Playing EU3, as Brunei, I have an extremely high infamy, and I've conquered all of Malaysia. Sadly, I'm trying to quell the massive amounts of rebellions so I'm pretty sure my empire is about to fall apart. Though, considering it actually is my first actual playthrough, I did relatively well considering how quickly I was advancing.
Try to comprehend a tutorial without your head exploding. I've owned Vicky2 for a year now and I'm still finding out what some shit does, and Vicky2 is one of the less complex Paradox games.
It hurts my brain, it really does

I might reload a save and do that, would that cause me to lose my infamy?

The best way to lose it is accrue as little as possible by declaring war with the proper casus belli, or getting the Cabinet idea (-4 infamy a year.)
Any good mods I should try out for Hearts of iron 3?
So, if i only buy one grand strategy game which one should i get?
Depends on your experience with the genera. Making history is five dollars and is a really good game to start with if you're inexperienced. It's a less hardcore hearts of iron and extremely user friendly.
or you could use my little old friend console
Well that's just cheating, though I find some infamy affects extremely unrealistic.
Find a nice way to play as Germany on WW1 mode for Darkest Hour Make it so when war breaks out you are only at war with Russia and France. Keep an Defense army on the Western Front BUT make sure it is a good size otherwise the French will overwhelm you. Focus on Russia and make sure you take them out of your border as the Russians like to counter-attack Austria-Hungary because they get attacked from different fronts and are incomptent of holding their own provinces.
Does anyone know what the pictures posted the last page were from? It seemed to be a sort of HoI3 world randomization mod, but I didn't know one was out yet. Does anyone have more info/a link?
How the Eastern Front is going for me: Russia just experienced their Revolution. Austria-Hungary were incompetent between 1915- onwards and had to send men on their frontlines so I wouldn't get flanked. The French tried attacking me and they broke through but a quick counter-attacked and fresh reinforcements pushed them back. I hope to push into Moscow before the Russians pull out of the war. I'll then send 3/4 of my army to Italy and overwhelm the Italians and flank France through there. Once Conquered, I can help out Austria-Hungary on other issues. It's funny because the British haven't declared war on me , you'd think they would help out their ally a bit? As long as I don't attack Belgum I should be fine with conquering the French.
I am playing Victoria 2 as Venezuela. I cut off taxes from everyone, and live off 13% tariffs, earning .5k a day. My only problems are rampant lack of jobs for Middle Class Factory Workers and inability to keep noming off Peru, due to truces. I can't attack Brazil because my troops are stuck in captures Peru provinces, and I can't build any more since the stupid factory for small arms were closed, and no more are being made.
I won The scenario and WW1, it's a shame I couldn't beat France as I finally broke through the Western Front: I could have broken through earlier but 131 divisions from the Eastern Front needed a rest and reinforcements.
Can't wait for CK2. Just four more days.
For some reason, HPP doesn't want to work for me. When it does, parts of the map are purple. To rebuild the map cache, I have to launch vanilla HOI. I can't launch HPP to do it otherwise it will crash. I never had this problem before. I read something on the Paradox forums that installing HOI3 anywhere but program files will fix it but I have it on Steam.
Here is my first vanilla FTM save I backed up along with the game and started playing again recently. I'm Playing as Peru. The year is 1942. Axis nations are: Germany-conquered France, Benelux, Swiss, UK, Ireland, CZE, Poland, Denmark, India, Pakistan, Oman, Yemen and UK Africa Austria-minor supporting Japan-conquered Com and Nat Chinas, Guanxi, Indochina, Bhutan and puppeted Nepal Manchukuo-helped Japan Mengkukuo-hepled Japan Peru-conquered Panama, Cuba, SAR, some islands of Pacific and all SA countries except Brazil Italy-conquered parts of Vichy, North Egypt, parts of Africa and is expanding into Oceania Ethiopia-puppeted by Italy, liberated by Peru, half-way to territorial regain. I'm getting Victoria II just so I can play a game as Prussia! Hope the warfare system is easier to handle that HOI.
Why does the music in Europa Universalis 3 always start off relatively dull, but then get absolutely awesome halfway through? and come to mind.
I'm getting Victoria II just so I can play a game as Prussia! Hope the warfare system is easier to handle that HOI.
It's a lot easier to handle. Also, I'm playing EU3, I'm seriously trying to figure out how to make a good sum of money without causing my ass to be later destroyed in inflation.
what mod?
Nothing modded, Europa Universalis : Rome is it's own game.
EU:Rome would've been a great game but the whole Loyalty thing is a complete joke.

Were you using Noneutrality at least? I think what you need right now is paratroopers.
I'm getting Victoria II just so I can play a game as Prussia! Hope the warfare system is easier to handle that HOI.
I absolutely detest the dice roll system for the EU and Victoria games. A battle can hang on a good or bad dice roll. But a lot simpler overall.
Still failing to balance out the economy in EU3.
Bought Darkest Hour: A HOI Game this week. Needless to say, it's awesome. I'm playing Arms, Armistence, and Revolutions as Britain and I'm still fighting WWI. Germany annexed half of fucking Russia and the other half is getting steamrolled by Alien Invaders (What? I wanted to pull a Resistance: Fall of Man and have some Chimera-ish bastards start fucking shit up. It's not really messing up WWI any) I couldn't make any advances on the Franco-German front so I moved into the Italian front and I've almost reached Vienna. A few key provinces and the Austro-Hungarians might be out of the game. Still, there is a very real possibility I can lose. The Germans outnumber the whole Entente 3:1 and my ally AI is dumb as shit. I hope I can reach Berlin without that much difficulty. Also, I stole "Super Heavy Tank" plans from the Aliens and now I can build them along with my infantry! Can somebody say "genocide?"
Holy shit. Were you using Noneutrality at least? I think what you need right now is paratroopers.
Only for Peru. Everything else came by naturally except Yugoslavia attacking Hungary because Europe seemed boring and I had no idea what to do. And yeah, I do need to research paratroopers for the sake of mobility; The Germans got a paratrooper division or two in South Africa but they're still heating the chairs while Crocodile Dundee is sitting between two VPs and my guys are up North. The French situation isn't good, either. Italy seems to be on the defense and the French are still putting Ethiopia's existance in jeopardy. As for Australia, well, it's time will come when I get enough boats to launch a proper attack, althrough I could use some help from Japan and Siam. Germany's subs are also active in Oceania, too. Hawaii, however, are completely out of the question; I'd need Germany or Japan to clean it up first. I might also DoW Vichy because it's half-half between Axis and Comintern and it'll take a while to subdue it without any influence. Also are there any significant consequences if I remove the exiled Allies from their list in the save file?
How is Victoria I and 2 in terms of complexity and learning curve?
I've discovered EU3 has a goal of trying to fuck you with rebels after modifying them. I'm literally being attacked by fucking Ronin in Africa.
