Anyone getting this on steam? Its being released today. It's bascially a dungeon crawler/rougelike. The admins said that it on steams said of controls, and that it will be released when Valve/Steam releases it today. The Admin on the forums, said maybe around 10am/12noon. Now sure what time zone though. Can't wait to play it though! :)
This is another game I been watching, its seems amazing and its only $5.00.
Gameplay videos (Part 1 - 5):
Looks like a pretty good game, but I have enough rouge likes to keep me going for a long time. The gameplay videos were boring to watch but it was mainly the guy playing it.
Ya I agree the gameplay videos sucked because of the guy. This game has some rougelike aspects, but I really think its more of a dungeon crawlers, just with some aspects of it.
Looks fun but i spent my moneys on the summer sale so i won't be able to buy it for a bit.
Those stats just make the game for me. Seems like Secret of monkey island gave birth to a roguelike.
Its awesome that steams has been helping a lot of indie developers
I'm not a big fan of the cluttered UI or the aesthetic. Might try it anyways, since I love roguelikes.
Finally, been waiting for this game to come out for a few months.
Roguelike. Not rougelike
This doesn't look bad. The tileset could use some work, though. Unless the graphics are supposed to be some sort of ironic joke.
Animations look pretty smooth from the videos I've seen, I like it.
Is this game out on Steam yet? I've been refreshing it now and then waiting to empty my wallet.
It's on steam now.
Just bought it. $4.50 is a pretty damn cheap price for anything, why not, I said.
Going through the tutorials now, the interface feels pretty nice and the controls are great. I couldn't get into normal roguelikes because of how obtuse the interface of most of the games are (loved DoomRL through), but I can definitely see myself getting into this.
Seems like they took a page from the TF2 devs. Liking the humor (screenie from the tutorial btw).
EDIT 2: This game is awesome, buy it.
Picked it up instantly, it's awesome
That face! Those eyebrows! It's a demon! Burn it! Burn it with fire!
Knowing that it's a roguelike, I suppose it's pretty hard?
Interesting, I never really played rogue alikes, I might have to take a look at it.
Can you use your eyebrows as a weapon?
How does this compare to IVAN?
Blast, I've spent all of my money on the Steam sales. Looks fantastic, though.
I ended up buying it and im loving it so far! The item descriptions are pretty funny and there are quite a few ways you can build your character. I can not compare it to any other roguelikes as i don't really play any but for $5 it is worth the money.

Na, they have an easy mode, and you can turn perma death off.
I spent my money during summer sale, guess i'll have to wait again..
Gonna grab this later. For those of you that have it, what are the differences between difficulty levels? As in, does changing the difficulty just make enemies stronger?
I'm hoping one of the difficulty settings adds a hunger meter. When I was watching the Let's Play in the OP, I noticed he was just waiting for debuffs to wear off, which is exactly the sort of behavior hunger is supposed to discourage.
Bought it for £3.14 because pi is a nice number, pretty good, the crafting system is nice but the names of the magic disciplines don't make much sense and you have to use them to figure out what they are.
Eyebrows are not a weapon.
Goddamn it, it keeps crashing for no reason. And when it crashes, it loses all progress up til the last save.

With a skill name like 'Arithmancy and Mathimagic', you don't need descriptions.
