Decided to attempt a fucking insane build, Pirate-Miner. Time to burn months of my life away
Piracy goes against the very definition of mining, and works directly against it. As in there's really no way to make it a fun or profitable venture.

Warp in with a mining battleship, mine a canful. Come back with guns to pick off the competition.
Warp in with a mining battleship, mine a canful. Come back with guns to pick off the competition.
fun fact: the rokh is the best unbonused mining ship, second only to the hurricane (though I think the hyperion or megathron would do well too)
I wish the Rokh was the missile BS. So much sexier than the Raven.
I wish the Rokh was the missile BS. So much sexier than the Raven.
It's frustrating as well because the Raven whilst it holds a punch of missiles it is no where near as tough as a Drake can be.
I wish the Rokh was the missile BS. So much sexier than the Raven.
Neut/torpedo rokh isn't horrible for fleet work.
fun fact: the rokh is the best unbonused mining ship, second only to the hurricane (though I think the hyperion or megathron would do well too)
The Hurricane isn't better than any ship that can fit 8 mining lasers. It can only fit 6, and I doubt you'd have enough cpu to put more than 1 or 2 MLUs on it. Not that it matters because you shouldn't be using non-mining ships to mine anyway. In fact, you shouldn't be mining at all, so really it's all irrelevant.

So there I was just sitting on my indy alt. Some guy in local "[05:20:56] NInja518 > hey I'm trying to find someone in the Deep Core Mining Corp". Figuring he was looking for somebody to lure into a suicide trap, so I did an eve-kill search for his name. wtf http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=13017625 http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=13005756 http://eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=12797381 his entire damn history... well cudos for trying, but maybe he should just stop.
dude why didn't you take him
Ugh. made an account and facepalmed when I saw the list of players to ask for extended trial. Doh. Well, some of my friends told me about this game, asked if I want to join. After reading trough the wiki, I decided this is the game I have always been looking for. Right now my client is downloading, what race should I pick? I love to bombard my enemies from afar, so Caldari seems like a good choice, but I'm still not sure of myself. Also, I have heard rumors that this game is like Fallout Online - humanoid encounters end in death and loss of all your stuff, everyone tries to rob you 24/7, etc. I know that in a game like this this is very possible, but do you really die about 2 times a day by just running into strangers?
'ello everyone, I've started a new character in eve after 3 years away... boy things have changed.

Unless you kill them first, which is unlikely because they probably have friends. So bring some friends of your own. If you are in high security space, sometimes. The police will kill their ship, but they'll probably have a friend to loot your wreck. You don't really have to worry about this until you start carrying really expensive stuff around, or are a heavy miner.
Is the Bantam a decent all-around upgrade from the Ibis?
Is the Bantam a decent all-around upgrade from the Ibis?
If you're planning to *shudder* mine, yes. However, aim for a kestrel when you get the dollar.
If you need some coin for the kestrel just shout out and I'll get something sent your way
If you're planning to *shudder* mine, yes. However, aim for a kestrel when you get the dollar.
Got it. [editline]5th May 2012[/editline]
If you need some coin for the kestrel just shout out and I'll get something sent your way
Thanks, man, but I don't think it'll be necessary. Still have some from my other characters. I only ask because I've made a new character for the first time in months, and I still wasn't very adept at the game when I last played. Even after playing for years, I feel like a newb.
You know, when I can actually fly a few more T2 frigates and cruisers and hopefully at least 1 of the T3 cruisers I might actually finish the mining barge training I started when I was just starting out since mining might actually be profitable now.

It seems all ISK buyers fly faction Scorpions. And it also seems that they have an IQ of 60.
Faction fit scorps? Really? What use is there in being an even more valuable primary?
Faction fit scorps? Really? What use is there in being an even more valuable primary?
Faction navy scorp
Lost my Loki on an L4 with some dudes.. Got webbed and scrammed by 4 frigates and torn to pieces by about 30 battleships in about a minute.
how do you even fuck that up
I got cocky once when I first got my tengu with the new exploration. Warped into high level site with my "boss tank". Nope. I got nuked.
fucking snip
Tried a level 4 mission with my maelstrom last night, get warp scrambled by a fast little fucker I can't track fast enough. "Oh no problem I'll just launch my drones..." No drones in the drone bay... I lost my maelstrom missioning fit just because I forgot my drones and one NPC finally decided to warp scramble me. Now stuck because I can't afford another fit :(
fuck yesh, unbanned at last

Which reminds me, anyone know what the selling price for a Hulk is in Jita, I'd check myself but I'm at work so no eve :smith:
