Outrage is last resort move, Chomp is bulky enough to take a hit and fast enough to sweep, making him awesome. Also finally found this image:
While true, Garchomp is a bulky enough bastard to absorb something (with a Yachi berry!) and hit back in the Battle Subway. In compstuff it's probably best to roll otherwise.
Then it makes more sense
I tend to be a brute-forcer. None of my Pokemon's moves in my entire team are a pure stat-raising or lowering move. All of them do damage. I'm a terrible trainer.
Welcome to the club. Not only I do that usually, but I also tend to exploit any passive advantage possibility like STAB, abilities, typing or items; even though I perfectly know that a well-used movepool with barely any attacking moves (For example: A Dusclops with an Eviolite equipped and Toxic, Protect, Confuse Ray/Thunder Wave and Ice Punch) can indeed be more effective than four attacking moves [editline]10th February 2012[/editline]
Also finally found this image:
I love this kind of stuff, I didn't know half of this trivia, and I forgot about the other half :v:

I remember finding out about some of these. The Hyper Beam no-recharge was pretty well known as far as I know. But some of these make me think back and go "Ooooh... So that's why..."
Not my kind of playstyle, I normally avoid moves like Thrash or Outrage because of the self-confusion downside (Certain items and abilities remove the problem, but still...) and because it makes your next attack(s) predictable. And for a sweeper I try to avoid status-boosting moves. Imagine that you use Swords Dance or a similar move and then the opponent uses an attack in that turn and wipes you out (Defense/HP stats on sweepers can be low) BAM! You wasted a whole turn.
Thing is, against a team without either a SICK defensive wall or a fairly bulky steel type, outrage is going to net you 2+ kills most of the time, and since battle-subway is both terrible at prediction and their teams have no synergy together, that's all that really matters is just throwing your pokemon at the enemy until you have guys left and they don't. Battle-subway isn't really for learning to play the metagame, it's just grinding to get items and shit.

I've got great synergy for the normal game, mostly because I'm levels ahead and everyone else and can hit much harder while making use of type effectiveness... but when everyone is at the same level, you have to rely only on type-effectiveness, which can honestly be hard. I went in to the Battle Subway with a Serperior (Aerial Ace/Giga Drain/Wring Out/Leaf Blade), Chandelure (Will-o-Wisp/Flame Burst/Hex/Shadow Ball), and Nidoking (Ice Beam/Earthquake/Thunderbolt/Sludge Bomb). I can do great normally, but I got WIPED by a single Pokémon, I forget which, because I had no moves that were useful against it. Well, I think I had one, but it was on a Pokémon weak to one or both of its types. If you go into the Battle Subway without good team comp (being higher level than normal trainers != good team comp), then you're destined to get wiped by a single Pokémon that manages to poke through all your strengths and exploit a few (or all) of your weaknesses.
biodude, swap Slude Bomb for flamethrower or you can't hit Shedinja with it, or bug/steels.
Was gonna turn Sludge Bomb into Sludge Wave for a STAB. Looking into filling out a better team, thinking Feraligatr maybe (Sheer Force + Life Orb as well, Physical sweeper though) and giving him the Ice Moves, letting me put Flamethrower on Nidoking. But Feraligatr's Physical moveset that makes use of Sheer Force + Life Orb is... lacking.
It really sucks that you need two DSes to use the Poketransfer. I've got some pretty good Pokemon on Soul Silver, including my Porygon Z...
that venusaur sprite was wierd

Needs a physical counterpart though, yes, you're right.
Or should I play Red?
White > Red
White
White. Unless your nostalgia gets the better of your sense of balanced metagame, that is.
biodude, swap Slude Bomb for flamethrower or you can't hit Shedinja with it, or bug/steels.
Does anyone use Shedinja? It sometimes feels like I'm the only one. Pageking so
Since you all said White, I'm gonna train on audions for a good 3 or 4 hours then get the second gym badge at level 30. Normal for me due to the desert not having audinos, I train in Pinwheel forest till level thirty for bug gym.
I need someone to trade my legendary Pokemon to so I can start a new game. Basically my Arceus and Victini. Anyone? You'll need to keep them for a bit, since I can't trust myself not to use them when I start a new game. :P

Didn't creator of Pokemon state that, among other things, N is Aspergic?

Make sure to get your Mewtwo today, guys! I can't believe they leave it at level 70 without you having to actually catch it... I am at the 6th gym so this will really help.
Ubers are for losers.
All my legendaries go in a box. :v: Though once or twice I did use the second release Victini to get me out of tight spots in the last few gyms... But after that it was ditched.
Just caught Kyurem in one try. Caught on the second great ball.
