And yet, no multiplayer or co-op. Also that's an AR-15, not an M4.
Looks more like one of them Colt Commandos series of carbines. Also, the AR-15 is Eugene Stoner's original rifle that which is the M16 and M4 are descendants of. But who gives a shit about multiplayer? The Fallout series are meant to be single player games and if you want multiplayer, pray to god that Interplay get their way in the courts.
Seems to me they haven't improved the animations. I hope for god they do, I can't fucking stand Fallout 3 ones.
Wait, so the information that there are multiple available starting stories is true?
By the looks of things, no.
Please Please please... Give us a cooler looking combat shotgun that doesn't look like a Russian ppsh. (Saiga12?)
I hope we get a pump-action shotgun this time around. [editline]08:12PM[/editline] and that I won't get stuck on every single rock.
Those Geckos are devilishly handsome.
i love the fallout backstory and the general feel of the series for some reason
I hope they put in a double barrel shotgun like the one in Point Lookout. That thing was fun, man. Oh, and fix the bloom. I don't want to go blind from looking at a damn table. And "It's been fucking nuclear war, Why are the rocks SHINY."
It looks exactly like Fallout 3, what the fuck.
It looks exactly like Fallout 3, what the fuck.
Because it's the same engine.
Because it's the same engine.
and a bunch of the same models I'm afraid.
Because it's the same engine.
No shit, but it looks like they even copy and pasted assets. I really hope these are placeholders.
I don't know what the general census is but I'm really looking forward to the game. I just hope they don't reuse textures.
I spent 34hrs on fallout 3, Now I have moved onto oblivion... Godamn these games I am compeled to get every tiny peice of entertainment from! Also I might not be able to get New vegas as I am getting AVP in 2 weeks...
Been waiting for this one for ages.
I like how everything in the Gamebryo engine is shiny as fuck. Dirt is shiny, people are shiny, fire is shiny, and even stuff underground is shiny.
I can only hope that Obsidian has improved since the massive pile of shit known as KOTOR2 (KOTOR was bad ass)
No shit, but it looks like they even copy and pasted assets. I really hope these are placeholders.
It's not out till Autumn so they probably are.
Heres my list of things to buy because of this thread: Fallout New Vegas KOTOR Mass Effect 2 (I want this game badly, I have no clue why I thought about this while reading this thread) Also, does anyone else find it funny that the ad at the bottom of the page is for Las Vegas?
I can only hope that Obsidian has improved since the massive pile of shit known as KOTOR2 (KOTOR was bad ass)
KOTOR 2 wasn't a bad game, it was just rushed. The actual quality of gameplay was great, but unfortunately a lot of the content was cut. [editline]05:25PM[/editline]
Also, does anyone else find it funny that the ad at the bottom of the page is for Las Vegas?
It's not a coincidence; the ads that appear are based on the text in the page.
as long as the story and dialogue is better, I can get past bad gameplay and ugly graphics. the environments do look a lot better then they did in Fallout 3, they have more color.
They need to fix up the animations from Fallout 3.
More weapons please. Maybe some aiming down the sights animations too?
There are laser guns.
That are so advanced they shoot in a cone.
I'd rather have The Elder Scrolls 5, because it probably wouldn't suck. This looks like fucking DLC for Fallout 3. Edit: Didn't notice that it isn't being made by Bethesda. Still looks like ass.
To all you saying: LUL SAME MODELS! I read the thing, it said the only pictures of the game are concept art, NONE ARE FROM THE GAME ITS SELF!
To all you saying: LUL SAME MODELS! I read the thing, it said the only pictures of the game are concept art, NONE ARE FROM THE GAME ITS SELF!
Wow, Obsidian must've been pretty tight on the budget if they had to rely on low-poly game models in-engine for this what you call "concept art". I mean, what happened to the concept artists they hired to provide them with sketches, paintings and stuff?
Ugh they better have fixed the combat. It felt like a hideous cross between RPG and First person shooter instead of being combining them in a seamless way. It's almost as if they threw VATS in just so it would slightly resemble Fallout 1+2's combat and forgot to make it work well with the game. It seems like it's supposed to be played like a FPS, but forces you to play it like a RPG and just ends up a big mess.
The reason I am instantly not hyped for this game is because it's going to be pretty much JUST like Fallout 3, but in a new place and tons of new shit. My gripe with Fallout 3 was the gameplay itself, which was pretty much the gameplay of Oblivion, which was pretty much the gameplay of morrowind. The style isn't evolving. The shooting is terrible in Fallout 3, it's just flat out not fun. Easily the worst part of the game, because everything else was done so well, and the shooting really brought the whole experience down. When I played Borderlands, I thought to myself, damn this shooting is fun, but the entire game outside of it sucks. I still enjoyed it for that, because the shooting was fun. If Fallout New vegas had combat like Stalker or something, to where it was semi tactical, and I felt like I was actually shooting weapons (the shooting just felt floaty, no recoil), I would enjoy this game thoroughly. But I doubt it's going to be different, and it will seriously damper my experience with the game.
