Holy shit nade launcher. That's gonna be fun shootdodging with.
That preview kinda spoiled why Max left New York. Sounds good though. It'll be cool playing it out at the start of the game.

spekter, you should add the Max Payne 3 TV Commercial to the OP.

I don't think this article has been posted: http://www.giantbomb.com/news/the-long-wait-for-max-payne-is-almost-over/4102/
A running theme behind Kuprejanov’s answers was a desire to maintain secrecy to protect the player experience, even when it seemed like my questions weren’t particularly prying. There's a general sense that much of Max Payne 3 is being purposely kept from us, and it's a refreshing feeling. It's hard to predict what will happen when it boots up. When I asked, for example, about balancing the fourth wall-breaking tone of the previous games: “It’s hard to convey every aspect of the game pre-launch without ruining parts of it that we’d rather leave for players to discover,” he said. “Max has always been a wry character, struggling to gain some kind of self-awareness, and that hasn’t changed at all. In terms of tone, we wanted something that worked well with modern body and facial animation and still felt very much like Max Payne. I think when you first hear McCaffrey start speaking in one of the early scene-setting monologues, you know you're back in Max's painful psyche.” It's unclear how far Rockstar will to walk down that road, but I'm guessing no dream scenes with babies crying. Perhaps the most important question is this next one: will Address Unknown be back? Address Unknown was a fake TV show set in "New Noir City" that players came across in Max Payne 2. Kuprejanov was coy in a very good way. “We’re going to let fans discover the answer when they play the game for themselves,” he said. Good enough for me.
Content in the quote is scary. Not because I worry whether or not Rockstar will include those things, but the fact that it's like spooky government conspiracy shit that they're answering those questions "unsubtly".
Holy shit nade launcher. That's gonna be fun shootdodging with.
Oh god that moment when you shootdodge past a door, saying "SURRISE, COCKFAGS!" as you lob a grenade in there!
PAX East playthrough article New pictures. I have no fucking idea how the guys at the Alan Wake forums find these, but they do. Pretty honest preview, considering how he bashes the console graphics in one paragraph.
Wasn't it called Noir York City?
Yes. Yes it was. Thus my bemused expression. I was being an annoying nitpicky fanboy.

ZE BEST OSSO BUCCO!
Max Payne 3 has over 4 hours of cutscenes: http://www.bbfc.co.uk/ADM283991/
I don't know whether that's a good thing or overkill...
Max Payne 3 has over 4 hours of cutscenes: http://www.bbfc.co.uk/ADM283991/
Sweet jesus... either the game's going to be more cutscene-heavy than metal gear solid, or the game's gonna be like 50 hours long... [editline]25th April 2012[/editline]
Max Payne 3 has over 4 hours of cutscenes: http://www.bbfc.co.uk/ADM283991/
I have a sneaking suspicion that might include things like "Address unknown" and "lords and ladies" and stuff. I could see 40 minutes of that being taken up by full video episodes of that...
As long as there is enough singleplayer gameplay to keep me occupied for a while, I'm happy with anything they do.
I think it's safe to say the singleplayer will be at least 10 hours long.
I think it's safe to say the singleplayer will be at least 10 hours long.
Hopefully longer. 10 hours doesn't seem that long at all.
It's quite a bit longer than the originals were and much longer than most games are these days.
guys you sound worried even if it's 5 hours long you're all going to replay it 666 times because it's going to be the best game ever. i know i will.
I've always owned Max Payne 2, but i've never really played through it. It is an amazing game and rarely gets boring, but I just never really played through it. Can anyone please tell me about how much % of the game i've completed? I'm at [sp]The point where you crash into Vlad's place seeking for revenge because Vlad had hired those cleaners.[/sp]
anyone know how to make max not look like a midget in max payne 2? i'm playing widescreen resolution
Unfortunately you have to play in a 4:3 resolution in windowed mode so the game isn't stretched.
guys you sound worried even if it's 5 hours long you're all going to replay it 666 times because it's going to be the best game ever. i know i will.
I replayed mp2 atleast 10 times over the years
I'm playing as [sp]Mona in the building Site, I'm trying to cover Max but there're these enemies I can't snipe and he keeps dying as he crosses the bridge.[/sp]
[del]You're about halfway through.[/del] Holy shit I need sleep. I totally read your post wrong as if you were replying to what length you're at. But to be the bit least of any help, I'm not sure depending on which part of the chapter you're on, but I found that if you have any other long-range weapon, like the Kalashnikov or other assault rifles, they're a far enough range to hit an enemy.
I'm playing as [sp]Mona in the building Site, I'm trying to cover Max but there're these enemies I can't snipe and he keeps dying as he crosses the bridge.[/sp]
You mean you can't snipe because of how fast they move? Use bullet time. Or you mean you can't see them? Then move to the next scaffolding through the building.
