I have a spare copy, I don't care if the girlfriend doesn't exist btw. [editline]12th May 2012[/editline] just add me on steam
Cheers.
I bring pornography from cat-meff.
Hello all. I made my first map. It's a tiny fun test. Please read the description in order to do the test without problems. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=71664208 [thumb]http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/558689921267666471/A028213162311D4D24D412D05FC1B6D96CF2B827/[/thumb] Obviously easy, but I hope it's decent. [editline]12th May 2012[/editline] By the way. I'm getting some trouble with this editor. In that map, there were supposed to be two buttons only, one activated the fizzler and the other one was supposed to deactivate it. I made sure to connect each thing to each button in order, but when I played it and pressed the first button (to activate it) i didn''t do anything at all. But if I pressed the second one it activated it (the oppsosite of what it was supposed to do)... I was annoyed that the first button did not work at all. Is it another limitation of the editor?
I got bored and tried to remake Chamber 19 from Portal. Eh?
While playing Portal 2 Coop with a friend, we found out that there's 3 test chambers that can be solved by yourself, or you are skippable for the most part.
I made a simple logic gate which dictates how long something STOPS, and not how long it lasts. [T]http://puu.sh/ukK2[/T] The Button activates the Lazer. The Cube Dropper drops a cube on the button. When you press a switch... [T]http://puu.sh/ukKZ[/T] Opens a panel connected to a timer, holding the cube for X seconds, then dropping it, re-enabling the Lazer. Viola. Edit: Can somebody tell me why this is Winner worthy? The update's been out for a few days, there's no way I was the first to make this kind of gate.
While playing Portal 2 Coop with a friend, we found out that there's 3 test chambers that can be solved by yourself, or you are skippable for the most part.
A lot of them can. Even the parts where you need to pull two levers at the same time can be done by yourself. I beat a lot of the behind the scenes levels for us when my friends would get stuck.
I remember the time when I purposely left my co-op partner behind in that BTS level in co-op. He was holding the reflector cube to stop the giant fan, I went in and toggled both the switches myself and carried on to the projector room.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=71196616 So I made a map...I'll make a fancy picture for it later
Also I made an OR switch, which is cool since buttons automatically work as AND switches, along with a Repeater, but as I tried to upload it I got wtf
I think some of the folks with beta are rounding up those ones so that we can have a collection once the update ships. Which brings me to my other point. The workshop supports collections - meaning, you can technically pack your maps together, but unless they're one after another on the list they won't automatically transition.
Any word on this collection?

Feel free to subscribe and give it a try! (There's also a video attached to the workshop page with info on how to complete the chamber) http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=71622575
In my portal 2 the cave johnson lines wont play, it says missing from disk repository. Yes I validated cache, yes I restarted. No luck, any suggestions?
Incredibly useful thing!: Press F6 to save your current position (Spawn there once you die). You can also use F7 to load your last save.
Incredibly useful thing!: Press F6 to save your current position (Spawn there once you die). You can also use F7 to load your last save.
It's called Quicksave and has been in the source engine since forever
Oh god what have i done.... (User was permabanned for this post ("Bot or some stupid shit" - Swebonny))

I wouldn't know. [editline]12th May 2012[/editline] Apparently it's a retarded bot. [t]http://puu.sh/um9S[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/umae[/t] :I
You know, I just had an idea of how Valve could successfully implement a way for us to make Wheatley esque chambers in the editor. Now, you still wouldn't be able to make BTS areas with this, but what if Valve made it so that in addition to the two portalable and non-portalable surface options you have for the surfaces of tiles, they added in a third special type of option for the surfaces. Basically, if you set the surface of a tile to this option, it would make a world portal over that surface which would connect to a BTS looking instance off somewhere (similar to how the exit elevator and the exit hallway at the end of a chamber is connected) that would act kind of like a skybox. (I know the wording for that was kind of crappy but meh) The result could allow you to make chambers that look like this: Or atleast something like that. You still wouldn't be able to make BTS areas with it though, since the BTS area would be in a different instance.
Seriously, the sound is having major issues. I restarted the map, I restarted portal 2, I restarted steam, I restarted my computer, I deleted the blob, I verified the cache, I defragmented the cache, I had nothing open while doing this. Every time I verify it says "3 files were missing and will be reaquirred". It was also working before. Its also only the cave lines. It also says in the console, for example, : [Sound] S_StartSound(): Failed to load sound 'vo\cavejohnson\dlc2_0313_altcave_sentientcloud05.wav'. File is missing from disk/repository. I have verified 5 times...........
my puzzles all just got deleted. :c
I get weird static on some of the sounds... Doesn't happen in any other game.
didn't see anyone talking about it, but the Portal 2 Final Hours is temporarily offline because of this: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2691619 they even removed the store page

Well, it's still usable.
Bought it along time ago and my computers been reformatted since then, haven't installed it since then so I guess I'm safe. Unless there's more malicious code for other games, in which case alot more people are at risk.

Hey guys, i have a bit of a request. If you're going to post fanart from somewhere, it's only fair that you post the artist's name with it. I personally know quite a few artists whose art has been shown here without mention of them or without their permission, as well as it might give someone a false idea that the person who posted it is the artist, which i saw happen in a previous thread(and the poster claimed responsibility for the work too) and i only recently discovered the real artist. It's starting to make me and a few other people mad, so if you could do that, that would be great.
the image links to the deviantart page, which does show the username in a sense so
While that is true, i didn't even think to look for that. Let's not justify something that doesn't need to be justified. It's not that hard, it's as simple as Ctrl+C Ctrl+V.
I made a map. But it's shit. Still, i wouldn't mind if anyone had a look. Link
