that feel when you take a flamethrower to a giant crowd of slimes.
or to torch the destroyer.
I missed the fun of a closed thread. I joined DGM's server last night, helped kill Skeletron within the first couple of minutes (if you could call it "help")

lol
but damn he's bad and annoying in games.
Russians :v:
yes
Backup again, was offline due to some nightly family problems. [editline]3rd January 2012[/editline]
Are you planning on having that server up permanently, darkgodmaste?
Yes, but I had some fight with my wife so it went offline.
Yes, but I had some fight with my wife so it went offline.
Okay, I'll get it added to the OP tomorrow then. I should've gone to sleep awhile ago.
or to torch the destroyer.
or to torch a Goblin Army. Goblin-soup, goblin-soup everywhere. :v: [editline]3rd January 2012[/editline]
Back up again, was offline due to some nightly family problems.
Still offline, for all I can tell.
Still offline, for all I can tell.
Really? Can you check again it should be online.
My bad, its up
Why is the thread marked with a map tag?
I was launching Steam to buy Terraria, and I didn't even notice. "You already own Terraria - PLAY NOW" What the fuck? Then I checked my email. I found this. I shed some tears of happiness.

I still think WoF isn't a hardmode boss, he's accessible before hardmode, the hardmode bosses are accessible only after is it unlocked. Plus he's an original boss unlike the fact that hardmode bosses are just robotic versions of the old ones.
Why not stuff it in a new category called "Bridge boss"
Why not stuff it in a new category called "Bridge boss"
He's much easier than hardmode bosses, that's why.
Yes, but it activates hard mode, still this discussion is getting really annoying especially because it is just a small detail in the OP.
The WoF reminds me of that robot from Cyberchase. [img_thumb]http://pbskids.org/cyberchase/parentsteachers/outreach/style_guide/bad_guys/images/downloads/DELETE_08C.jpg[/img_thumb]
I honestly wish some NPCs could actually fend for themselves, I cannot stress that enough. I'm soon gonna be facing a Goblin Invasion (though not right now; I have a dentist appointment soon), and will have to defend my partially-underground apartment block ON MY OWN, whilst the NPCs just mill around aimlessly and the Arms Dealer DOESN'T SHOOT A SINGLE FUCKING GOBLIN. It's really irritating to defend your base when your allies don't do dick. I'd kill for a Knight or Ranger kinda Battle NPC to help defend the base; maybe making specialised rooms with specific items in it could attract them, kinda like Dungeon Keeper. You should also be able to outfit your fighting NPCs with different weapons and armour.
This except I'd rather they all had a signature weapon, e.g. the Merchant uses a walking stick etc.
That could work; the Guide could have a silver dagger, Demolitionist could toss sticky grenades (NOT bombs because that'd yield the equivalent of a Clownocalypse on your base), Arms Dealer could have a Sixshooter, Dryad could have a Gaiathorn (like a hallowed combo of Vilethorn and Thorn Charkram), etc. Would signature armour fit them, or could they wear whatever armour you give them? The former could either be having an NPC-exclusive set of armour that gives them boosts like the Tinkerer in Goblin Mech Armour (a Goblin mechsuit that makes him an enviable powerhouse), or have them be able to wear a specific set of pre-existing armour like the Dryad wearing Jungle Armour. I should try to contact Re-Logic and let them know that NPCs need to be able to defend themselves, at least during Blood Moons, Goblin Invasions and Boss Fights. They should also be able to use Beds so they respawn like you do (at least in Softcore and maybe Mediumcore), and if they get the AI good enough they could accompany you on your adventures (we all need backup from time to time), and maybe even THEIR adventures. That'd make it pretty awesome, even if it'd require heavy AI work.
Why isn't the Wyvern in the mini boss section?
It's not a boss, it spawns more often than harpies do in the right conditions.
Because Wyvern breed like bunny's.

I could see that being really awesome and fitting really well.
Ok, i'm in the middle of fighting off David Bowie's goblin army, and then it says "The Blood Moon is rising..." This is gonna get seriously bloody...
Since it'd be kinda weird for the tinker to walk around in a mech suit at all times maybe they could transform in battle as per with the werewolf transform at full moons or merfolk when entering water. I could see that being really awesome and fitting really well.
That's kinda what I was thinking too; it'd be impractical to tinker in a massive mechsuit. Best to save the dakka and crushing capabilities for battle. Speaking of werewolves, do you think a "Monster Hunter" NPC would be cool? Could sell all sorts of specialist equipment and double as a ranged Battle NPC (like many current NPCs should). Maybe if your Arms Dealer gets attacked by a werewolf in hardmode, there's a chance that he'll become a Monster Hunter with a terrible "curse", transforming into a werewolf when there's a full moon, changing from a precise ranged fighter to a vicious melee fighter, though in this state he's too focused on killing all the enemies to even think of selling you stuff.
im starting to get the hang of this game
Shit, I can't find any adamanite or mythril. I've still got Cobalt, and I've beaten all but Skeletron Prime. :( Any servers up?
