I beat mom on my second run. But to be fair I'm not new at all, just lost everything and restarted.
Wait, wouldn't that be Conquest?
He killed me too quickly to observe any new behavior. Screenshot is from the wiki Speaking of new bosses, I'm a fucking idiot. I saw a screenshot of a blue version of Pin with X eyes on /v/, and forgot to save it
I found the D20 in a treasure room today but I was eve and died before I could test it, I did reroll a red heart into a spirit heart though. (On the ground, not my containers)
What makes the D20 different from the D6?
D20 is for shit like coins, hearts, cards, keys, bombs, maybe chests and probably trinkets. D6 is for powerups.
oh man, two good runs and I end up losing all my luck on [sp]Isaac[/sp] I think I have motion sickness now from all the bullets on the screen, I need to lay down
D20 is for shit like coins, hearts, cards, keys, bombs, maybe chests and probably trinkets. D6 is for powerups.
So it can reroll every item in a room now? Sounds neat.
So it can reroll every item in a room now? Sounds neat.
It's very useful for the arcade. You can play the blood bank loads of times, use d20 and get loads of chests and then do it over again. It takes 6 rooms to charge though so battery is needed to make it worth while. I do wish it still done what the d6 does aswell though
So it can reroll every item in a room now? Sounds neat.
Well they're two different items. D20 is only for the hearts, coins, etc. D6 is only for items on pedestals.
Just died to The Fallen in Caves 1 had a good run going too with Technology
So I found the Polaroid at random from a Devil Begger. I've only beaten the game with three or four different characters. Also the last challenge is still locked for me. Wiki says this is a general bug. That sucks.
The Isaac fight makes me want to kill myself. Is there some kind of trick that makes dodging his million bullet funtime fuckfest easier?
The Isaac fight makes me want to kill myself. Is there some kind of trick that makes dodging his million bullet funtime fuckfest easier?
Remember the pattern.
I always found Satan much harder than [sp]Isaac[/sp], actually.
how the fuck do you get the D6? ive beaten the game 3 times as isaac
kill moms heart as ???
What is the difference between 'fire rate up' and tears up?
What is the difference between 'fire rate up' and tears up?
They're the same. Also, finally beat Satan for the first time. Playing as Cain and after clearing out a floor I got teleported to the error room by a red chest. The room was full of tears up pills and health ups and a liberty cap, plus a telepill so I teleported back out to finish the floor. After that pretty much all my drops set me up. Sacred Heart, Pyro, 3 Dollar Bill and more I can't remember.
What is the difference between 'fire rate up' and tears up?
I think tears up is a more vague way to say that your tears have gotten better [sp]or worse, like broken mirror[/sp] in some way. Like Max's head. Instead of just damage up, you also get bigger tears with better knockback.
Are there more games like this?
Are there more games like this?
What do you mean by "like this"? If you mean difficult, action-oriented, procedurally-generated games, Spelunky is a good one to check out.
This game made me like rougelikes even though it is infuriating. This is like the only game I like that is extremely infuriating.
This game made me like rougelikes even though it is infuriating. This is like the only game I like that is extremely infuriating.
I find it strange that I actually enjoy infuriating games. I am a big fan of this, Super Meat Boy, Dota 2 (situational), Dark Souls, etc. Just being placed in a difficult task makes me want to push through it, and once I do, the feeling is so nice.
Actually, this is the best of its genre. I wish i had the DLC though.
For those of you not lurking Edmunds formspring, the boxed set of binding of isaac is now on sale for the USA. Only 12 copies left though. http://www.etsy.com/listing/101195162/signed-binding-of-isaac-unholy-edition the artbook won't have any wrath of the lamb stuff on it. This box set pre-dates that.
Actually, this is the best of its genre. I wish i had the DLC though.
Go mow a lawn or something, it's dirt cheap.
Actually, this is the best of its genre. I wish i had the DLC though.
I hope by "it's genre" you don't mean roguelikes in general.
I hope by "it's genre" you don't mean roguelikes in general.
What does roguelike means?
What does roguelike means?
Level randomization, perma death, and turn based movement. With dungeon crawling. Thanks wikipedia.
It appears that tears up never seems to have any effect when I play
Level randomization, perma death, and turn based movement. With dungeon crawling.
Recently, the term roguelike has expanded to include non-turn-based games.
