They got the arena. Well, half of them survived, time to let them try the second trial again once they heal up.
my military has 4 champions already, they don't even have armor or weapons yet [editline]04:02AM[/editline] One military dwarf is clearly a slacker, he's still a recruit even though he was recruited at the exact time my champions and elite wrestlers were. [editline]04:03AM[/editline] Some elves showed up to trade mountains of cloth [editline]04:08AM[/editline] stole some cloth so they'd fuck off and attack me later [editline]04:09AM[/editline] wait what, queen out of no where
Can soemone upload the mike maydays Tileset, the site for downloading its down, and i want to get my friend into this
[QUOTE=Haxxer;20180735][img]http://filesmelt.com/dl/1232323.PNG[/img] :smug:[/QUOTE] Broken image
You know what would be great if it were included? Sub-drains that work with liquids, altars, people laying on that sort of thing, and stabbing people while that happens. I mean, who wouldn't want to sacrifice all of the Elven caravans, have their blood drain into a basin, and drown people in that?
[QUOTE=Parakon;20183857] wait what, queen out of no where[/QUOTE] Striking Adamantine means the Queen/King comes to the Fortress and sets it up as the Capital, even if it's a hellhole of biblical proportions. It's the only reason I don't start mining Adamantine right away, since I'll simply not have the infrastructure and proper facilities in the first 3-4 years to properly take care of the King/Queen. [editline]01:38AM[/editline] Ok, I'm going to keep myself from going insane and I'm going to just give all of my normal soldiers iron armor, while I'll make special steel armor for my "Heroes." That is, of course, until I deem myself ready to mine Adamantine, in which case I'll have the infrastructure to give my normal soldiers steel items and my "Heroes" Adamantine items.
I need to find a shittier metal, i've got gold and adamantine, and adamantine is hard to process
[QUOTE=Parakon;20186014]I need to find a shittier metal, i've got gold and adamantine, and adamantine is hard to process[/QUOTE] Shittier metal for what? [editline]01:59AM[/editline] Also, only have one person extract the adamantine strands, since there is both a finite supply and it takes a while to build up a skill, you'll need all that exp. to be funneled towards one person.
for general use, some spending metal, naw mean

Well I found a nice way how to make a money fast in Adventure mode. Hire some random meatshield Set tree near him on fire Wait Loot :smug: Also are there HFSes in Adventure mode?
[QUOTE=Haxxer;20187262]Filesmelt is down [editline]10:56AM[/editline] Was*[/QUOTE] But the image is still broken.
Someone should do an Adventure Mode with people who ask as adventurers, it would be far better then someone naming random Dwarves after people who ask, since this time you can see if your guy gets his eyes ripped out by an Elven child.
Can you name people in adventure mode? I think you can, but gotta make sure.
You should be able to hire homies in adventure mode, or when you kill a quest beast people are more likely to join you, and you should be able to choose what they use for weapons.
[QUOTE=Skwee;20188621]But the image is still broken.[/QUOTE] I didn't edit my post and it worked before. It works now.
[QUOTE=Zezibesh;20191084]Can you name people in adventure mode? I think you can, but gotta make sure.[/QUOTE] You can choose the first name of your Adventurer, but the last name is random. For people that join you, you can give them nicknames, the naming system is identical to that in Fortress Mode. If I wasn't so God Awful at it, I would start an Adventure Mode.
[b]New devlog[/b] [quote]It's 10:30 AM now, 26 hours after the last entry... so I'm going to go ahead and start marking the dev log with the day that it actually is instead of the day that I woke up on. There is less math that way. Zach tested out windmills and dye, taking a dimple cup farm up to trading blue trousers to the elves. It all worked, surprisingly enough. Poisons had some lingering errors, which I worked on in arena mode for a while. Two crash bugs fixed up there. I made a creature earlier with a poison that gives you H1N1, basically, and there's apparently a bug with fevers... they never go down, even after the illness itself leaves the system.[/quote]
H1N1? I hope we can make Biological Weapons soon :buddy:

Does anyone know how to change what your character is in Adventurer mode? is it in the raws somewhere, because i cant find it.
Someone here should totally draw the fluffy wambler. [quote]Wamble is a verb concerning unsteady movement, so it's crucial that the wambler moves in this way, "stumble bumbling". Currently, to facilitate this verb, they are humanoid rather than quadruped (but covered in fluff much like your picture) and stumble around and get into your food. Between a guinea pig and hamster in size. Their bodies are made up of fluff, skin, and a central core of pudge. No organs aside from the eyes. It's unclear now whether they'll get mouths or whether food is absorbed directly into the pudge. It's also unclear whether even the humanoid part will remain, provided other ways of wambling are explored.[/quote] [code][CREATURE:WAMBLER_FLUFFY] [DESCRIPTION:A fluffy, pudge-filled being, known for its warm heart and stumble bumblings.] [NAME:fluffy wambler:fluffy wamblers:fluffy wambler] [CASTE_NAME:fluffy wambler:fluffy wamblers:fluffy wambler] [CREATURE_TILE:249][COLOR:7:0:1] [PETVALUE:20] [VERMIN_EATER][PENETRATEPOWER:1][FREQUENCY:100][VERMIN_GROUNDER] [SMALL_REMAINS][GOOD][PET_EXOTIC][NATURAL] [NOT_BUTCHERABLE] [BIOME:ANY_LAND] [POPULATION_NUMBER:250:500] [TRIGGERABLE_GROUP:5:50] [PREFSTRING:warm heart] [PREFSTRING:gentle nature] [PREFSTRING:stumble bumbling] [BODY:HUMANOID_SIMPLE:2EYES:NOSE] [USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:FLUFF:HAIR_TEMPLATE] [STATE_NAME:ALL_SOLID:fluff] [STATE_ADJ:ALL_SOLID:fluff] [USE_TISSUE_TEMPLATE:FLUFF:HAIR_TEMPLATE] [TISSUE_NAME:fluff:NP] [RELATIVE_THICKNESS:3] [INSULATION:200] [USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:SKIN:SKIN_TEMPLATE] [USE_TISSUE_TEMPLATE:SKIN:SKIN_TEMPLATE] [USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:PUDGE:FAT_TEMPLATE] [STATE_NAME:ALL_SOLID:pudge] [STATE_ADJ:ALL_SOLID:pudge] [STATE_COLOR:ALL:PURPLE] [USE_TISSUE_TEMPLATE:PUDGE:FAT_TEMPLATE] [TISSUE_NAME:pudge:NP] [MUSCULAR] [FUNCTIONAL] [STRUCTURAL] [USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:EYE:EYE_TEMPLATE] [USE_TISSUE_TEMPLATE:EYE:EYE_TEMPLATE] [BODY_DETAIL_PLAN:EXOSKELETON_TISSUE_LAYERS:SKIN:PUDGE:NONE] [BODY_DETAIL_PLAN:BODY_HAIR_TISSUE_LAYERS:FLUFF] [BODY_DETAIL_PLAN:STANDARD_HEAD_POSITIONS] [SPEED:2900] [BODY_SIZE:0:0:2000] [BODY_APPEARANCE_MODIFIER:LENGTH:90:95:98:100:102:105:110] [BODY_APPEARANCE_MODIFIER:HEIGHT:90:95:98:100:102:105:110] [BODY_APPEARANCE_MODIFIER:BROADNESS:90:95:98:100:102:105:110] [SET_BP_GROUP:BY_CATEGORY:EYE] [BP_APPEARANCE_MODIFIER:DEEP_SET:0:70:90:100:110:130:200] [DIURNAL] [HOMEOTHERM:10070] [CASTE:FEMALE] [FEMALE] [CASTE:MALE] [MALE] [SELECT_CASTE:ALL] [SET_TL_GROUP:BY_CATEGORY:ALL:FLUFF] [TL_COLOR_MODIFIER:WHITE:1] [SET_TL_GROUP:BY_CATEGORY:ALL:SKIN] [TL_COLOR_MODIFIER:PINK:1] [SET_TL_GROUP:BY_CATEGORY:EYE:EYE] [TL_COLOR_MODIFIER:BLACK:1][/code] It's an example on the new creature RAW files released by Toady a long time ago. [QUOTE=NotMeh;20194329]H1N1? I hope we can make Biological Weapons soon :buddy:[/QUOTE] Hah, sieges captured and experimented on
I always imagined fluffy wamblers as purring maggots except fluffy. :raise:
I have embarked on a world where there is absolutely no Elven civilization... Should I even go on? All there are left are Goblins, Dwarves, and Humans. Where will I get my plant fiber cloth/thread? Where will I find endless hours of fun with torturing and slaughtering pointy eared pinko hippie bastards? Also, I'm loving not having flux for some reason, makes it feel all the more special when I import and create steel to have my "Supersoldiers" wear.
Pretty much the entire map I'm on is made of Dolomite.
What the hell man, I can't play adventure mode anymore :saddowns: When I travel, I can't fucking go to the location, like when you're supposed to press > or was it < to like, go into the spot. This doesen't work for me. I've been hammering keys for fifteen minutes, and I can't freaking get to the spot. This pisses me off, because the adventure mode was fucking great. [B]EDIT:[/B] Does anybody know a fix to this or something? I really want to play adventure again :frown:
man adventure is so fun, I'm glad I can play it
