As a Ranger/Monk, guns sound awesome. I hope they still have multi-classing and all the things that made GW1 so incredibly awesome. (Little/no grind, easy to get max equipment, able to redistribute skill points whenever, etc)
Guild Wars 2 won't have the same feature as Guild Wars 1 where you were able to add a secondary profession to your primary profession, sadly.
Played gw from beta and still play it, and following gw2 news everyday and i must say this is not going to be a standard MMO, you will need brains to play this and not just rolling your head over the keyboard. O yeah and there's new infoz on the Healing & Deaths.
Any ews on the release date yet? I used to play GW from launch religiously up until I completed Nightfall. Never bothered with EotN.
No Release date yet, but the first playable demo will be in germany in august.

they keep delaying it to farther and farther away. not smart. irritating. i'm going to be mad if its not at least a little bit like GW1
I'll have an opinion when more information is released, it's too easy to get disappointed from things you thought they would add. Kinda like Borderlands. You actually played and it's like 10 different looking guns with different stats, and 1 drivable vehicle. I feel like they're not going to add the newer classes, like Assassin and Dervish, or will replace them with something else. Those professions revolved alot around the setting they were in (Assassin in Factions, they're like the pop culture Asian Ninjas), and with different races, they can't have humans have all those professions that wouldn't fit with the other races. Think about the Dervish. Can you imagine an Asuran Dervish? Or a Sylvari, or Dwarf? :/ Norn or Charr Assassin? Too loud. Asuran Assassin? Too weak. Dwarf Assassin? Too drunk. My 2 cents
I hope they have the Ritualist. Seemed to be the most versatile class and looked completely badass. If not I'll go with my second favorite, the Warrior.

I know, that's exactly the point. Humans would have a bunch of classes because they don't make sense with the other races.

There are plenty of classes that don't make sense for humans, it's just a matter of thinking about it.
I have mixed feelings, I love Guild Wars, I have all the expansions et cetera. I will probably purchase Guild Wars 2 as well, but as I said I have mixed feelings. One thing I don't like is that they stated that there will be no secondary profession, which seems to make Guild Wars less Guild Wars. I am not a fond of the guns either, but I have to see them in action before having a valid opinion. I don't really like the new skill-bar system which they introduced, that your first 5 skills (I don't remember the exact numbers) are always dependent on the weapon you wield. So far, the game seems dumbed down and less "free". I will probably still buy it though.
This sounds pretty good so far, but I don't really like the idea of the Charr being good guys now. The thing about second professions and guns seems bad too, but I guess that they can make it work anyway i mean it's not like they're ruining the game.
No Release date yet, but the first playable demo will be in germany in august.
Germany? That's a random place to start. No closed beta? :frown:
Germany? That's a random place to start. No closed beta? :frown:
gamerscom is in germany, which is the nearest Games Convention to when it will be ready probably, so not really that random.
