Never played Deus Ex, but I'll probably pick this up.

Apparently you can use the link to stream the video to something like VLC. [editline]10:56AM[/editline] Links that someone on neogaf.net uploaded. part 1 http://www.mediafire.com/?kdizq2ngzrg part 2 http://www.mediafire.com/?ng2ndyzmzxi
Doesn't work with VLC.
Just watched it with VLC Gameplay looks good =D
Deus Ex just means "From God", i.e. the characters in the game are from God, but not the traditional God. A manmade god.
Actually, since Deus is the nominative case of the word, simply 'Deus Ex' means 'God from'. It's lacking an ablative noun to tell us exactly what god is from. 'From God' would have Deus in the ablative case as Deo - it'd be Ex Deo. The name Deus Ex by itself is grammatically incorrect. It's got a subject and a preposition but no object. Also, I think Human Revolution will be awesome.

Since it's Nominative Verb Accusative
I watched the gameplay, it looks pretty good. Seems to have enough approach options, and stealth is very viable. It most likely won't be as complex as DE1, but that's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for an engaging story in an interesting environment with complex enough gameplay to keep me interested for at least four playthroughs.

If someone finds me a reliable link that's not going to go down instantly, i'll add it to the OP.
Deus Ex 3 reminded him of Metal Gear? Oh boy.
Deus Ex 3 reminded him of Metal Gear? Oh boy.
Hey, he's a console gamer, what did you expect? He probably doesn't even know there WAS a Deus ex 1
In case this was not posted yet, music from the trailer: http://www.deusex.com/blog/dxhr-cgi-trailer-soundtrack
Several health bars. If one is partially depleted, it regenerates. If it is completely gone, you can only heal it from health stations. [editline]10:06PM[/editline] Well you can see his clone tank at Area-51 IIRC.
MOH:Airborne did that too. Along with Farcry2 I think it's an okay system.
So far I think I can safely say it will be a good sequel. It probably won't be extremely similar to Deus Ex 1, but no game ever will. I think this will be a pretty good, modernized version of it though.
...modernized version of it though.
Hey guys, let's make a FPS game and call it X-Com.
Hey guys, let's make a FPS game and call it X-Com.
*shudders* I'm actually a bit surprised after those gameplay-vids(DE:HR). It doesnt look half bad. I'm also playing through Deus Ex(do it 1-2 times each year). Just got to Area 51.
Hey guys, let's make a FPS game and call it X-Com.
Except that's not the same thing at all. That's a complete reboot of the series.
I should play the first 2 games right?
Is it possible to get the HDTP working with the STEAM version of the game?
I should play the first 2 games right?
First one at least
Actually you do not need to play either to understand Human Revolution.
Is it possible to get the HDTP working with the STEAM version of the game?
Yeah, but I think it requires getting a cracked exe, which I'm not going to divulge information about. Search around. I think someone posted a guide on their forums. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=HDTP+on+steam
Wait, are you interpreting it using the English order of words or Latin? In the Latin, surely it should be Deo Ex? Since it's Nominative Verb Accusative
I was led to believe that 'ex' is a preposition, not a verb, and so it runs Nominative Preposition Ablative. If you do it like that, Ex Deo is correct but incomplete as we do not know what is 'from God'. Nom/Prep/Abl is the order used in the original saying, so I used that. Incidentally, I believe Latin phrases run Subject-Object-Verb, so you would have Nom/Acc/Verb, not Nom/Verb/Acc.
Alright I redownloaded Deus Ex You guys are all saying it got really good so I will try it again when I first played it I got past the first part with the statue(it was easy, shoot everyone with the darts) but then it got really boring because it was more of the same :\
