While it may not always be achieved its the easiest. The current mod is called Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat is being held hostage by the current developing team, and has been this way for years (no joke), this is why Rukus, Roko and I have started this team (Rokonader is making the post, but, me mild, wrote this part). We hope to add a new chapter to this fabulous mod. We have hit some rough patches but will surly get past them. What we hope to achieve is a mod that has not been done before, it will be able to deliver gameplay relative to the current Insurgency game, but also add new features and gamemodes to really bring out the tactical, strategical game never thought possible in Insurgency. [editline]23rd April 2011[/editline] DAMN THE LACK OF COMMAND!
Thank You.
Don't mean to sound like a shitfinger, but last time I played INS it was basically a twitch shooter masquerading as a realism FPS. Did you guys fix this? [editline]23rd April 2011[/editline] oh wait just read properly
That OP reeks of "I copypaste this from another forum" also, what? why another insurgency game?
my bad
lol what?
I want that AK model
The overview of the map, for some reason, gave me an urge to play C&C renegade again. The multiplayer is probably dead tho :c Ontopic: that there looks all so nice.
these houses don't look good at all. i'm sorry to sort of bash you but it looks really contrasted, there are some nice guns, some bad ones, some cool maps and some shit ones. at least that's what your media shows.
No, if I want real tactical gaming on Source, I go with RnL. Less players, but it isn't a twitch shooter.
All Insurgency needs is bots :smug:
Whoa, Rukus is on the dev team? I met him in Fistfull of Frags awhile back, and he has been on my friends list ever since. I liked the original INS so this one will be good.
Awesome, Insurgency was great. How long has this been in development? An upgraded insurgency would be the bomb.
Are you by any chance looking for more modelers/mappers? Just wondering.
Thank's for your responses guys, really appreciated. Right; we have made advances in the direction of fixing the twitch aspect of the game. This was seen as a flaw, and we have made strides in solving it. All work done at the moment is so we can see what ideas turn out to be. For example, models are not final models; we will continue to iron out any glitches or mistakes. Those houses are just temporary; they will be made more detailed and places into a game environment, or used as skybox pieces. The reason we are making another Insurgency is that the original is not being updated. The development team are not working on any updates, so all glitches will not be resolved. We decided to update, revamp and enhance the game. We will fix any issues with the original and improve it. We plan to add things like vehicles; and, obviously, more guns, maps and other things. It has been in development since late 2010. It will take as long as it takes to finish, we are NOT Treyarch or IW so the game will actually be done and tested before any deadline is set. PS: OP is a general media release for all gaming forums :P If you have any more questions, either post 'em here or post them at BritIG's temporary forums at http://britig.proboards.com/ For those who don't know, BritIG is a group who owns AIM Publishing (Pub for INSR) and BritIG Studios (Not associated with this project directly) [editline]24th April 2011[/editline]
Are you by any chance looking for more modelers/mappers? Just wondering.
Yes, go to http://britig.proboards.com/ , click on the Insurgency: Redeployment forum and then the "Apply for developer" subforum. Read the sticky, and use the template.
Added some more boards on forum. Whoops, thought it would add as an edit, sorry to bump. D:
Wait, are you guys somehow affiliated with the Insurgency team?
Sounds good
I think this is a good thing overall. The original team was painfully ignorant to criticism, no matter how constructive it was, and the dedicated fan base on the forums were rabid, trying to point out a flaw in the design or gameplay was next to impossible without being told you were an idiot.
The AK model doesn't look right. The pistol grip, magazine, and front grip are off.
Will definitely keep an eye on this. Also you should remove the sigs from the OP as you can't use them on FP.
Wait, are you guys somehow affiliated with the Insurgency team?
No. The code is opensource, so we can do what we like with it.
The AK model doesn't look right. The pistol grip, magazine, and front grip are off.
It's not an AK47. It's a different variant. What kind of game is Insurgency?
What kind of game is Insurgency?
Team based tactical shooter
Team based tactical shooter
Ninja'd
How are you guys related to the original Insurgency team? Do you have any of their art and coding resources?
Will there be vehicles? :3:
I've just been told by our coders that the Source code is FUBAR. Obviously, the Insurgency team didn't try to patch it at all. So, we will be porting any aspects we have into the Orange Box engine and will be starting a fresh with what bits work. This will set us back, but we are working to solve it. This mishap will not affect the quality in anyway, just timing. And, uberslug, we are not affiliated but are working with one of the original devs. [editline]24th April 2011[/editline]
Will there be vehicles? :3:
Probably. [editline]24th April 2011[/editline]
How are you guys related to the original Insurgency team? Do you have any of their art and coding resources?
Read this post.
The AK grip looks to be angled too far back, and the 1911 really needs an updated thumb safety and hammer, IMO.
Noice, i was sad when the devs stopped working on it. I was a beta tester for the mod.
