Not mine just sharing the love. http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1022&t=224932&p=3225956#p3225956 This is a new program for minecraft that lets you convert 3ds files from programes like maya, 3ds max and blender into minecraft. Here is what I have been able to do with it so far. 3ds max: into minecraft: Darn dark cant see it Again just spreading the love.
Could/Should be crossposted to the Programming Forum. So I can give you a programming king.
Could/Should be crossposted to the Programming Forum. So I can give you a programming king.
I did not program it. The programmer did not post it on facepunch so I took the liberty to do it for him.
This is great, I'll try this today.

Potential. Semi-ontopic, is there an actually WORKING version of the Minecraft to OBJ converter?

Waiting for someone to make a giant penis...
I used a different method, but the end result is basically the same.
This is quiiiiiite old, I made a huge hollow snake with it. I tried to do a giant worm with teeth and stuff but it didn't work. :v: [editline]15th March 2011[/editline]
[img_thumb]http://imgf.tw/292341900t.png[/img_thumb] I used a different method, but the end result is basically the same.
Appears to be more precise. What did you use?
I used binvox to convert the OBJ file exported from Crafty directly into an MCEdit schematic. I got the best results by "rendering" at a high resolution then downscaling, keeps more detail in the end.

Oh now this is interesting.
Time to make giant penis models! :eng101:
Time to make giant penis models! :eng101:
it better be a house
it better be a house
I have always wanted to be a sperm again! :downs:
Time to make giant penis models! :eng101:
I remember on creative there was this one server with a 512³ map and the admin's house was a huge black cock, complete with hair and jizz+urine dripping it was awesome
This is pretty awesome, too bad I can't model for shit
I have always wanted to be a sperm again! :downs:
Avatar kinda fits :buddy:
Don't think your modeling skills have to be that supreme, look at how it looks in minecraft, lots of detail wouldn't work anyways.
Don't think your modeling skills have to be that supreme, look at how it looks in minecraft, lots of detail wouldn't work anyways.
I can make a cube :buddy: [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] And a snowman. [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] A snowman might be cool...
You can always import shit form other games
My first thought: "Dude now I can import the companion cube and stuff as a single block." And then: "Oh."
Exporting a crystal dagger I made in blender, sure hope it works [editline]15th March 2011[/editline]
Still waiting on that giant diamond penis...
Exporting a crystal dagger I made in blender, sure hope it works [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] [img_thumb]http://i54.tinypic.com/fut7cp.jpg[/img_thumb]
I would say only low polygon modeling, just look at my castle 3ds model and how crappy it is. [editline]15th March 2011[/editline] btw 2 parameter in 3ds max is = 3 cubes with the down scaling set to 1
Not as great as that Kinect programming.
Not as great as that Kinect programming.
That is on topic how exactly? This look neat, could have some fun with this. Might test it out later : )
Where's a good place to get good free 3d models?
This is neat
Where's a good place to get good free 3d models?

Where's a good place to get good free 3d models?
How about a list of sites that have free 3d objects http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/60-excellent-free-3d-model-websites/ But mostly they are high polygon count models. you kind of what low polygon so you don't get this
