Probably gonna go PvP, or make 2 characters and put one on PvP and one on PvE.
Nice. I'm starting with a PvE to learn the game then probably start on a PvP server.
Wanna talk on steam? I tried the little icon under your name but it gave me an error page. :v:
I forgot that I had my settings on private, it still said my account name thou.
Still not got a key. :sigh:
Me and SweFox played this for a while got to level 8 and then we got stuck because we had to kill a ton of mobs everyone else was killing already. :v: We did three rifts too, but those were pretty pointless because there were like 60 other players.
Can I still get keys?
Probably in the next wave sadly
Was going to write out my first impressions but then I realized I can't talk about it. So I'll keep it simple, I think it's fantastic. Having a lot of fun.
Got in the beta, but I can't install the client. Get an error during installation.
This is the most fun I've had in an MMO in a while (in a starting zone, anyways). I'm really, really impressed with this. Everything was so simple and easy to learn and it just felt so... right. I don't know how to explain it.
Played it for a couple of hours, it's quite fun. feels like wow+aion+war combined, doesn't really bring anything new. It's not bad though but probably nothing I would sub to.

From the forum.

Hey, I had the same error under Windows 7 32 bit and I just "fixed" it. What I did was right click the file and "run as administrator", also I installed for all users instead of just me and it installed without the error this time. Hope this fixes it for you as well! See you ingame --- Same error for me, under win7 64 bits. I try with launch as administrator and install only for me : works fine . Thanks.

Try that.
From the forum. Try that.
Tried it. Didn't work.
http://www.curse.com/keys/ Get your free beta key now! (: [editline]4th December 2010[/editline] Well, this atleast gives you a higher chance of getting in on beta weekends.
Getting more than one key is unnecessary though, unless your second one is a ViP key. Also for everyone in the beta: if you go to your game folder and find the rift.cfg, turn ambient occlusion to 'False' the game will run a lot smoother, and my FPS increased with 15 as well. You hardly even notice it ingame, it's worth trying out.

For most people, no matter what settings you have the game on, you still get the same FPS. This is also the same for me. I'm on a machine that can run Crysis on max with ~40 fps and yet I can't run this game with higher than 20 FPS on lowest. That is really the only complaint I have about the game but I'm sure they'll fix it.
Signed up for the beta. I hope I get in, this game looks pretty good.
Yeah ive signed up too a few days ago, but i just put in the beta key that curse is giving away.. 48% keys left so go go to increase your chances
I'm unsure of what i should think of this game.
Got one of the keys of curse
This game is like a baby born from Warhammer Online and World of Warcraft. Warhammer online for the PvP and Open-Ended Quest, and World of Warcraft for the Talent Tree, Crafting, the Combat, and other stuff. As I play the game, I kinda like it cause of how combat is unique, I was playing as the Reaver/Void Knight, and got to say that it's awesome and skill recovering is fast, faster then a rogue in World of Warcraft. The crafting in this game is like the older version (like near released), of World of Warcraft, where you have to run to reach the resources and it will will disappear if someone got it, and how crafting is just the classic sit-and-wait style (I was expecting something fun like Everquest 2's Crafting system, but sadly it's not that). I like the Rift's and how many people actually do it, and you gain tons of goodies, such as lesser Essence drops, Sourcestone's, and whatnot. What's best about the beta is that it's very smooth, I've hardly suffer from disconnection's or lag in this game, which is very impressive. I like this game, how this plot is like a whole "Theology vs Science" in the middle of this apocalypse that is going on and this dragon god is trying to destroy the whole world, it's an interesting setting. I got to say that this game is worth the money if your interested into games like World of Warcraft of Warhammer. It will Survive till the day they go to the F2P-Cash shop like Everquest 2 and LotR's did.
Got a beta key for this, gonna check it out.

I got my key yesterday from FilePlanet, but I didn't get the EULA acceptance thing til about 30 minutes ago. Because of this I wasn't able to start the download until then, so I'm going to miss a whole day of the beta. :smith:
Downloading the patch so I can play again today. I hope they fixed the FPS issues.
