All advisors are are worms in bags trussed up with anti-grav pads. I don't know about you, but I think that the advisors are just the larval stage of the combine, probably eventually cocooning themselves and then hatching into something much worse. This process probably takes a while though, which is why there aren't any next stage ones on earth.
The combine is a race of aliens that takes the races they take over, and mix it with others. The real combines are the advisors. All other combine guys are modified humans.
I'd like something in episode 3 where you get to take place in the 7 hour war, or atleast a little scene of the 7 hours war in a kind of cutscene with G-man , as seen in Episode 2 where we get a sort of cutscene.

The advisors are just a race of these aliens that happen to be higher in the chain of command in The Combine. Combine = organization That is why humans are refered to as combine when they are captured and turned into what the Civil protection and others are. Those troops are humans that were brain washed and suited up with armor. So asking if the advisors are the combine is like asking if a roman senator is the roman empire. There's no one creature called the Combine.

The combine is a combination of different species (including humans) working (or forced to work) together. Other than that, you’ll have to stay tuned for more information as we work it into the games.

Imagine this: Walking around in the snow, your HUD starts not showing up randomly. Later on, in a small village house somewhere, you find one of the orange suits used at on test subjects in the Aperture Laboratory. As you find your way to the borealis, shit starts happening. Aperture-ish scanners starts being everywhere, heavily armored you'll have trouble taking out just one of them. Remember, Aperture invented a fucking Portal gun. So lets hope for some crazy aperture weapons. (Aperture is most likely making weapons as well, since the turrets in Portal are designed for millitary training.) [editline]02:09AM[/editline] Also, push the Source engine to the fucking limits, bring in Parallax Occlusion mapping. (The engine was originally supposed to support it, but they scrapped it because they didn't like the corner issues.)
Gordon will talk. Alyx's boobs will get bigger Gman will show himself to everyone Gordon and Gman will fight (boss fight) Alyx's boobs will continue to get bigger... (:3) Eli will come back to life. Gordon and Alyx will has teh buttsex. THE FREAKIN END
Also, push the Source engine to the fucking limits, bring in Parallax Occlusion mapping.
I don't think they'll bring it into the Source engine , I think you need to send an e-mail to gabe on this and ask him if they will ever bring it in....
You seem to be forgetting that they work in "Coballs" or whatever so they have teams. And Now I present, some filler:
I wish ep3 uses an enhanced version of L4D2 engine. Those are some neat features in it.
What I think will happen in Episode Three: 1) Some sort of helicopter game play. It will most likely be you shooting things with a machine gun and Alyx piloting. Very unlikely that you'll be flying it yourself. 2) Breen comes back as an Advisor and lets you know it somehow. 3) The Borealis has been found by the Combine, according to some concept art we have seen. 4) Aperture Science somehow created a large enough portal to transport the entire vessel. 5) Chell somehow is involved. 6) Cliffhanger ending paving the way for Half-life 3 in 18 years. 7) Some sort of Portal 2 tie-in. Maybe Portal 2 takes place on the Borealis?
7) Some sort of Portal 2 tie-in. Here is my idea on what might happen. 1) After Eli's death... Barney is behind the door and he shoot's the big door with the strider gun that he got and then he says "About that beer i owe ya" And then Barney give's the gun to Gordon and then you,Barney,Alyx get's in the chopper then Gordon see's the first advisor then Gordon shoots the Advisor with his new awesome gun. 2) The chopper run's out of Gas then it crashes. Barney got out of the Crash first. Then he help's Alyx then Alyx and Barney helps you. Then they walk off to a house they can see. Barney finds a SMG Alyx finds a Shotgun And Gordon Finds a Crowbar. 3) They made it to the borealis. Before they go in they go into this big building that they see and it is full of Advisor eggs. Gordon shoots them and then a big advisor comes and then you have to kill it. 4) Gordon,Alyx and Barney go into the borealis and after a while of walking they come across this one room. It had a table with Eli on it. Combine are turning him into one of them. Alyx shoots him. Barney stops it. And Gordon just stands and be awesome. 5) They go out of the room to see of they can find some actual human's that escaped. To heal Eli. 6) They find people, Alyx asked if they can heal her dad. And they did. 7) Eli is back alive again... The humans ask if they can take Eli to their chopper that they have rebuilt in secret to escape in. Alyx says Yes. That is all i got.
Eli is about as dead as he is ever going to get. He isn't coming back.
Dude that wasn't my hole story. I am still thinking.
Hope this isn't an illusion by G-Man at all
I think were going to get some long awated information on the Gman
May i make a suggestion?: It will more than likely start where you left it in episode 2, If not shortly after. Gordon more than likely went unconscious after Eli was killed. You would possibly be told off by G-Man that he had to make up for what Gordon had managed to screw up. You would probably awake in the White Forest base's infirmary, hearing the rebel doctors futile attempts at resuscitating Eli and go unconscious again. You might wake up later with Alyx either at your side and she calls Doctors' Magnusson and Kleiner over whilst they inform you of everything that happened between the end of Episode 2 or one of the Doctors' are nearby when you awake, and there might still be the remnants of the swirled clouds and the remains of the Citadel to remind the players of what they've acomplished like with what VALVe had done in the previous episodes. If they decide to go with Alyx not being at your side once you awake you may be told to try and catch up with Alyx at the landing pad. Alyx obviously would be still upset about Eli's death, but talks about doing what he wanted them to do about the Borealis. On your way to the Borealis, you'd probably get to use modified turrets on the helicopter to keep combine Gunships at bay, you would possibly run low on fuel being forced to land somewhere nearby. When you approach a nearby abandoned village you see the G-man walk through corridors and down alley ways leading you to a Snow mobile in perfect condition and Alyx compliments Gordon telling him that it was as if he was following some one here. (SNOW MOBILE DRIVING AREA HERE?). You find a combine base where they have captured Mossman and attempt to rescue her but she sacrifices her self so that Gordon and Alyx can stop the combine using the Borealis. you head through some ice tunnels with several head crabs on the way, and find your way to the Borealis almost falling off of a cliff edge, Alyx pulling you back up. Once you get to the portal core of the Borealis and attempt to shut it down G-man locks you out and forces you to fight an advisor. Once the player kills the advisor Alyx makes a remark in pay-back for the loss of her father's life. When you try to shut down the portal core you fire a combine energy ball into it overloading it. Whilst making a run for it trying to escape the detonating core, you have to fight against G-man's influence. when the player gets to the Borealis' side sticking out of the ice wall you hear Barney calling to you and Alyx to slide down the rope to get to an escape boat (yeah i know...) whilst watching it detonate you see G-Man on a slab of ice passing by the boat and Barney gives you what you have been waiting 10-15 years for. "Hey Gordon! I think you really need this now." Passes Gordon the beer. They all do a toast, and the screen whites-out (credits here with several memorable images from Gordon's adventures, in higher quality if they're from Half-Life 1, in the background and the final image being the toast from another perspective. and actually seeing Gordon's face for once possibly and a rather proud of himself emotion on his face)
Why would they try to recessitating him if he was stabbed in the brain stem? You die on the spot if that goes out. [editline]08:34PM[/editline] It also lacks an epic boss fight.
If you get to fight Gman, you better have teleportation powers like him.
