Can't do that without either making a new thread, or waiting until this one is finished.
Ask a mod to change the title?
Can't do that without either making a new thread, or waiting until this one is finished.
Or asking a mod. ;)
Just call it Warhammer general
That would imply Warhammer fantasy too, and that's boring.
That would imply Warhammer fantasy too, and that's boring.
It has it's merits. Also, JohnyMo1 is busy. The Emperor has abandoned you!
That would imply Warhammer fantasy too, and that's boring.
That's bullshit. It's not boring. Just because that's your opinion doesn't mean that the thread can't be Warhammer Fantasy too.
That would imply Warhammer fantasy too, and that's boring.
I disagree. There's good fluff for Fantasy aswell as for 40k.
Story time from our BC session today:
So, our Black Crusade group is composed out of two chaos marines, both combat-oriented, one Forsaken, one Chosen. The Chosen also had a jumppack, and has used it to bust through thin walls to charge at enemies multiple times. We also have two apostates, one fascinated by chain weaponry, the second being a generic Slaaneshi talker dude. We also had a renegade, an infamous Nurglite dude with a terrible decision making skills and a metric ton of missiles and demopacks. And then there was me, the heretek with a servoarm. During the last session, we had just finished fighting off a horde of cultists enraged at us for some reason. Now, the fighting caused a lot of commotion, and a nearby Slaaneshi biker dude drove to our location to check what the fuck was going on. Since we had just fought off a bunch of cultists, we were rather jumpy and ready to shoot at anything moving near us, including the biker. As the bike rolled close, the biker wanted to know what the fuck we were doing here and who the fuck we were (at the moment, the Nurglite wasn't completely aware of what was happening). Meanwhile, us, the rest of the group, raised our weapons at the bike, with an exception of me, the heretek, who just calmly admired the bike which our GM described to me as a masterwork of mechanics, while explaining that it had a bunch of hidden powerblades barely visible, after I passed a few lore and awareness rolls. After a short exchange of words, our Nurglite renegade wakes up and decides that it is a fucking GREAT IDEA to shoot a frag missile at the biker who clearly wasn't going to cause much trouble. Now, he gloriously misses as the biker starts revving up his bike, readying to launch it at massive speeds towards the Nurglite. As the missile whooshes by my faceplate (as I was standing in front of the group, and the Nurglite almost directly behind me), I realize that the bike would most likely flatten me as well as the Nurglite behind me, so I roll to grapple the Nurglite with my servoarm. For those who don't play BC, the servoarm uses your normal WS but instead of your normal Str, it uses 75Str, Unnatural Strength 7. Grapple checks are opposed strenght checks after resolving the hit (Nurglite had 21 Ag so he failed his dodge roll), and with 75 Str. For optimal reading of the following events, it would be best if you started listening to the media file below. Nurglite throws terribly on his Str roll, leaving me with 12 (holy shit so many) Degrees of Success on grapple, choosing to throw the Nurglite. And what was I going to throw him at? I fucking threw him at the now-speeding slaaneshi attack bike (which by now had all of the hidden powerblades fully extended and spinning), at hilariously high speed as the throw would end up throwing him 12 meters. The bike flattens him, dealing enough damage to barely drop the Nurglite to crits, and the GM decides that he's going to roll Operate to see if the Biker gets thrown off-course. He rolls a 4 on a (rolls of 1-5 on d100 are commonly houseruled as critical successes), RAMPING OFF OF THE FAT NURGLITE FUCK, DOING A GLORIOUS BACKFLIP. At this point, we find out that the Chosen marine decided that it would be quite annoying if he would have to find a new heretek to take care of his weapons, so he decides to jump-pack at the now-backflipping bike. He rolls terribly, and flies straight at the powerblades, taking a bunch of damage and bouncing off of the bike at full speed as his jumppack was completely out of control. He does land relatively safely, though he did hit a tree on the way. Power armour saves lives, kids. With the jumping marine hitting the Biker, he flies off course, and DM rolls another great roll on Operate, causing the Biker to land safely and fucking neatly on the ground. The Forsaken marine was really fucking impressed by the Slaaneshi dude's trick, being a biker himself as well. We ended the session there, agreeing that he is a fucking badass biker, and the Nurglite was a massive dick for trying to break his bike.
Media file is for the story above, in case you skipped the story.
That's bullshit. It's not boring. Just because that's your opinion doesn't mean that the thread can't be Warhammer Fantasy too.
I never said that my opinion was fact. Stop twisting my words, please.
Metric ton of fuck yeah.
Just call it Gamesworkshop general.
Matt Ward General

I like bloodbowl, and sometimes I think that I am the only one :(
Can't do that without either making a new thread, or waiting until this one is finished.
Ask a cool mod, like Ra- er Orkel or someone?
I'm back everyone, and I got something special for you all. I was experimenting with many different color schemes for my 'nids and I found something I like. Tell me what you think!
i'm curious to know where the base comes from if anybody happens to know, looks custom though
I like bloodbowl, and sometimes I think that I am the only one :(
I like Blood Bowl but I started liking it after I ran out of money so I never got a real team, but Cyanides Blood Bowl and FUMBBL are pretty awesome. [editline]6th January 2012[/editline] I am completely rubbish though.
Can't do that without either making a new thread, or waiting until this one is finished.
The OP can rename the thread anytime he wants. It's in the "Go Advanced" button when editing your post. [editline]5th January 2012[/editline] I've done it before with my own threads. [editline]5th January 2012[/editline]
i'm curious to know where the base comes from if anybody happens to know, looks custom though
It's semi-custom. I got a regular base and added some grass (standard grass from the starter-kit) and got the skeletons from an old Warhammer (not 40k) set.
Black Library always has the most badass covers.
It's semi-custom. I got a regular base and added some grass (standard grass from the starter-kit) and got the skeletons from an old Warhammer FANTASY BATTLE set.
Fixed :eng101: WHFB for short.
Can't do that without either making a new thread, or waiting until this one is finished.
I bet one of the moderators could change the name. Give them good reasons and whys and BLAM name changed.
Black Library always has the most badass covers.
Just another Tuesday for brother bored mcfuckthisshit. Of all things about 40K I quite like how It's so serious it goes beyond silly and ends up being not serious at all, but it seems to be aware of this fact and panders to it. And they can always take refuge in audacity if something seems out of place. Also did us Black Crusade player ever mention that you can get minions. There is a trait you can apply to these minions that determines their size and gives bonuses. Bigger = faster but easier to hit. and vice versa. Now the scale is is 1 to 10, and 4 being about average size. (Not giving it the size trait sets it to this.) 2 Is the size of a servoskull, though it does not have to be a servo skull. 10 however is listed as being a reaver battle titan, according to the rules, it's possible to have a skull probe the size of a reaver battle titan from the start of the game, though it will be very unskilled so....
I just heard that 2ed ork war trukk capacity was however many merry orkz you could fit there.
We should probably agree on a name before i see if i can get it changed.
http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Alpharius#.TwX0lNQ-OuU If I ever get Chaos I know what Chapter to play.
I like the massive amount of airquotes in the Alfa Legion fluff:
It should be noted, however, that Alpharius's death is still considered suspect even by the Ultramarines, and he may still be at large. On the other hand, it is possible that 'Alpharius' did indeed die and 'Omegon' took sole command of the Legion. It is also possible that it was 'Omegon' who was 'killed' by Guilliman after taking the place of 'Alpharius'. Whatever the truth, the Primarch of the Alpha Legion has not been seen since.
It makes them even more stealthy! I got a lot more respect for the 'Alfa Legion' and their 'warbands' as 'Chaos Renegades', after reading 'The Siege of Vraks' vol. I-III. [sp] The warband The Faithless basically infiltrates Vraks as a loyalist marine chapter after the fighting has started between the Krieg siege army and the Vraksian renegades. They then offer their help to Cardinal Xaphan and end up taking over the entire situation, and draw in more chaos forces [/sp] Thoose are some really good books, they are just dangerous to read as you feel like starting a brand new army based on Forge World miniatures, which will easily cost you a thousand euroes. I actually got inspired and made a 1500 points Alfa Legion list from the Chaos Space Marines Codex. I think it turned out pretty good: HQ Chaos lord Daemon weapon Combi-melta Bike Elite 5 Chosen chaos space marines 4x Plasma guns Chaos Rhino Troops 10 Chaos space marines Champion Power fist 2x Flamers Icon of Chaos Glory Chaos Rhino Dozer blade Troops 10 Chaos space marines Champion Power fist 2x Meltaguns Chaos Rhino Fast attack 6 Chaos bikers Champion Power fist 2x Meltaguns Heavy support Chaos predator Twin-linked lascannon Sponsons lascannons Heavy support 3 Oblitterators If I could concentrate on one army longer than a couple of months, I would totally make this list happen. The army should be painted in dark blue, with a subtle amount of Alfa Legion symbols (snakes), and spikes should be kept to a minimum. The lord goes with the bikers and the chosen outflank in their Rhino. The rest of the army moves forward, and the Oblitterators either are deployed in cover or deep strike in relative safety on the flamer squad and kill a transport so the contents can be murdered by the flamer squad.
(How come spoiler tags dosen't work anymore?)
[sp] [sp]text[/sp]
[sp] [sp]text[/sp]
[sp]'Alfa Legion'[/sp]
Black Library always has the most badass covers.
Unless they're Heresy Covers, in which case it's a thousand marines milling about on the battlefield while something cool happens in the distance.
Hey guys, can anyone help me with making a 500 point IG list? I have a 481 point list but It might be a pile of ass, I'm not sure.
