God, I still love the line "BURT. FUCKING. REYNOLDS‽" best thing out of the game imo
That, and when Zimos says "Don't wake the bitches!"
That, and when Zimos says "Don't wake the bitches!"
"I tell you, if you didn't help me back there, I would have gone, the other way." :v:

But Gats voice is one of the best things about him :( That and those awesome shades he always has. Also I think Shaundi 2.0 was a complete cunt because she kicked weed, maybe it was all the drugs that kept her calm and awesome.

What I really liked about Saints Row 2 was that all the gangs had their own missions. A shame that's not in SR3.
I think all the calmness went into her SUDDENLY giant tits.
I think all the calmness went into her SUDDENLY giant tits.
You say that like it's a bad thing. I'll be the first to admit that every time she joined me on a mission it was my own mini game called "How long can you stare at shaundi's breasticles for"
So my brother was watching me play SRTT, and he asked me what the hell I was flying. I told him it was the jetbike, and he said something like "That doesn't look like the jetbike I saw on youtube the other day." So I asked him to show it to me, and he showed me some video about a Tron lightcycle replica... you can probably tell what happened next
Volition didn't have much time to work on the story when it came to SR3 to be honest. SR2 and SR3 were both made in the span of 3 years. Think about it. With SR2, they not only had more employees working on the game, but they had reused the same engine and city and just expanded on it. Those 3 years were mainly spent on story, missions, and cinematics alone. SR3 was done in the same time span as SR3, but they had to use a new engine, create a new city from scratch, etc etc with less employees due to the economy being shit. I cut Volition a lot of slack on this one. They really put a lot of effort into SR3 in only 3 years when it came to the graphics, world altering consequences (i.e. [sp]the plane causing Zombie Island, the destroyed statue on the island[/sp]), etc under such a short time span set by THQ. [editline]19th January 2012[/editline] The way I see it, if they reuse the same engine SR3 uses and Steelport, SR4 will have an expanded Steelport city ([sp]probably Saints Styled since its implied the Saints made Steelport their own country[/sp]) and the majority of the development will be on story and missions.
I didn't really take that into account. In that perspective, yes, they certainly did do a good job. I am surprised with what they came up with, and I'm certainly not saying SR3 was bad, it's just that I liked SR2 the most. Maybe it's coincidental in that they had all the time to spend on missions and such, but it was the best, in my opinion.
I want sr2 with sr3 graphics/driving controls and im good
That, and when Zimos says "Don't wake the bitches!"
I fucking love it when Zimos first sees a Brute. "Ooooh... what the heeellll is that thiiiiing...?"
I want sr2 with sr3 graphics/driving controls and im good
Lets wait 2 years for SR4 then
I want sr2 with sr3 graphics/driving controls and im good
+ Sprint tackles/nutshots And Professor Genki And Burt FUCKING Reynolds And of course the better chainsaw animations Oh man if Male01 voice was in sr2, jesus fuck.
Oh man if Male01 voice was in sr2, jesus fuck.
I wouldn't be surprised if they reused Troy Baker for SR4. He did the protagonist voice for Alec Mason in RFG. [sp]In case you don't understand what I mean, Troy Baker is Male Voice 01 in SR3[/sp]

Also I kinda wanna play RFG just to hear him now, I've had it installed for the longest time and played about 15 minutes of it. What else has he voice acted for? EDIT: Hoooleeey SHIT Looking at his IMDb page he has been in A LOT of stuff, BioShock Infinite is his next big game Damn dude, he was two-face and robin in Arkham city. A lot of those AAA titles that came out at the end of 2011 he had a role in. The more you know.

I liked Michael McConnohie (the RF Commander) in RFG. RFA was a piece of suck period
I thought that RFG was an interesting social experiment. You played as a brown terrorist in suspicious looking clothing. Really interesting playing as a terrorist for once. [editline]20th January 2012[/editline] Especially with how the game rewarded suicide bombing in cars.
Wait so is Saints Row 2 worth trying out or what?
Wait so is Saints Row 2 worth trying out or what?
Definitely. [editline]20th January 2012[/editline] Just not on PC...
Wait so is Saints Row 2 worth trying out or what?
Only with the gentlemen of the row mod
Only with the gentlemen of the row mod
Not even then really. SR2 has an annoying issue with most modern rigs now where the game feels like it's running at 1.5x its normal speed. Its kinda annoying.
Looking for someone to play COOP with
I tried that, and while it fixed the speed in the outside game world, it would go into slow-motion while in some indoor areas/missions.
While Powertools has been reported working for most people, there were a couple of others who reported a similar issue. One of them fixed it by reloading his OS. It may have been power saving related with his laptop and what it was doing with his cpu. The other fixed it by killing the MOM.exe process which is part of the Catalyst Control Center suite for ATI cards. I have no idea why that would fix it, but it was pretty conclusive with him able to reproduce/fix the problem by toggling it off and on. I suspect that something is going on with your cpu that is causing it. Some kind of cpu monitoring or speedstep that is dynamically adjusting its frequency and causing Powertools to flip out. We released a beta version of Powertools that automatically calculates sync and may be able to adjust on the fly if you haven't tried it already. The FAQ section on Powertools links and refers to it as the new beta.
Hey IdolNinja, is it possible to mod in a permanent 'panda suit' mode for outside the activity for our superman wannabe needs?
Hey IdolNinja, is it possible to mod in a permanent 'panda suit' mode for outside the activity for our superman wannabe needs?
I was looking at that just last night. All of the skydiving physics changes aren't tied in to the suit at all, but are actually triggered by the start of the activity. While there's no way I can think of to tie those in to clothing, I could probably revise the existing skydiving physics so that it would act that way all the time. EDIT: Here ya go: http://finalack.com/Idol/sr3/public/sad_panda_skydiving_physics_open_world_IdolNinja.rar
