Name: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Release date: November 11, 2011 Platforms: PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 Publisher: Bethesda Softworks Developer: Bethesda Softworks Skyrim is the fifth game in the Elderscrolls series, and follows the adventures of the player who discovers he/she was born with the soul of a dragon. The dragonborn, or Dovahkiin (as it is said in the language of dragons) must face a series of challenges and do everything in their power to prevent the return of the dragon Alduin. Dragons may be killed (MUST, it actually gets annoying fast) in order to gain their powers. It's not without its flaws, but it's still one of the best games ever made. If you weren't fond of the previous games in the series (What's wrong with you) you might still like Skyrim. It improves upon Oblivion dramatically, perhaps most noticeably in the appearance of characters. (If it can make you vomit, you can find it on The Skyrim Nexus (Not to discount the existence of good mods.) Later this month (January) Bethesda will be releasing their mod tools for the game in the form of the creation kit. Paired with Steam Workshop users will be able to download content without having to venture out into the Nexus. But for the time being, please consult below for a list of my recommended mods. An iron dagger gives as much experience as a dwarven dagger or a daedric one. Travel around, buy up all the iron and leather strips and make them into daggers. Save the daggers. Enchant all of the daggers with whatever enchantment you have that is worth the most. You'll make absurd amounts of gold. Alchemy and enchanting can be paired in a loop of sorts to create ridiculous potions/enchantments: 1. Create a fortify enchanting potion. 2. Drink the potion and enchant a full set of clothing with a fortify alchemy. 3. Put on the clothing and return to step 1. 4. Repeat until you've got your desired level of power. Preventing damage from arrows: Objects can be used to deflect incoming arrows. Bodies work well. Easy Sneaking/Theft: You can't be caught if they can't see you - put a bucket or cauldron over a viewers head. Untested Theory Of How To Make Money Quickly (Crime Pays): 1. Be married. 2. Make sure your spouse has a store and gives you the 100 gold a day. 3. Commit mass murder. 4. Go to jail. 5. Collect 200 Dollars. Got anything you want to see in the OP? Make a post! (Or PM me, which is more likely to work) I'll add it if it isn't meme shit!
yes. I approve of this OP
`Much better.
Oh yay a mod list, i like those.
Thank you, I love you, man.
took you long enough
someone told me there was some multiplayer/coop mod out, is this true?
I recommend the killable children mod, might want to add it to the OP. Includes optional files to protect quest-related children.
someone told me there was some multiplayer/coop mod out, is this true?
It's in development, but very unfinished and buggy.
someone told me there was some multiplayer/coop mod out, is this true?
yeah but it's glitchier than oblivion
Amazing title! Already loving this thread.
Can anyone direct me to the indoor texture mod? The one that replaces chair, table, etc. textures?
I hope this thread becomes main, the other one makes me cringe.
Now we are talking.
Anyone confirm if the texture mod in the op is good or not? It looks borderline over-sharpened, so I'm slightly hesitant.

Ah now this smells like a new thread.

Much better.
The example pictures make it look like they've just added noise to all the textures...
It's a lot better than it looks in the example images, give it a try and if it's not to your satisfaction simply remove the pack from where it was installed
Ahh finally. A new thread. Are we going to have a serious mod list or just a few mods with which the game is unplayable without. Either way, don't you think one of the FXAA injectors should be up there? The presence of some sort of color correction is kind of a basic necessity.

I'll figure out the rest as I go along
I love that fresh thread smell Could Pluto's Improves Skyrim Experience and Deadly Dragons be added to the OP?
Yadda's ENBseries config Holy shit this game looks pretty good now.
You could probably add ENB and Yaddas config to the OP.
I've found that holding up dead bodies stops incoming arrows quite effectively
what happened to "sharing" and my dick dragon banner
I've found that holding up dead bodies stops incoming arrows quite effectively
I'll add a section for Tips and Exploits [editline]2nd January 2012[/editline]
what happened to "sharing" and my dick dragon banner
respost them and I'll add them for you
I'm not too fond of the FXAA injectors myself, but I'll add them to the list. I'll figure out the rest as I go along
Neither am I really, but until ENB doesn't have a 15 or 20 FPS hit, what else is there. You should add Yadda's config though. Edit: Actually I just retried Yadda's config and the performance is way better. Whatever he or Boris did works.
Can someone link that mod that sorts the items in the chest in breezehome
Can't tell if this is what you mean. If it isn't, use it anyways, it's a godsend. It should be added to the OP too. Sorry for the mod overload. Container Categorization:http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1227
