i've always seen high fov as an excuse not to watch your back since you can effectively see everywhere but directly behind you. i remember watching a tf2 tournament once and they all had their fov set so high that they were basically looking at a panoramic view. i get that it was the norm for old fps games but really i kind of wish the fov wasn't modular. it's a game changer not having to scan your arcs.
Personally I'd rather things look nice even at the cost of massive blind-spots. And also like I said, ridiculous FOV fucks with my perception and makes me dizzy. [editline]6th January 2012[/editline] I just leave the FOV at whatever it is by default.

yeah. i have mine pulled back a bit so it's like it is as it was before they did the adjustable FOV update (the real big one). looks better imo. also i hate mouserollers with semi autos ahhghusdf [editline]6th January 2012[/editline] item hold is still retarded and so is vehicle hold
Just try using FOV=10 while using sniper.
Bindings=(Name="MiddleMouseButton",Command="FOV 50 | OnRelease FOV 105 | SetDoesWantToEnterMarksManShipMode | OnRelease SetDoesntWantToEnterMarksManShipMode") That's what I use
vip would be better if both teams had a vip, as it is now it's just camping bs
vip would be better if both teams had a vip, as it is now it's just camping bs
The fuck happened to those escort missions from the Halloween update? Would solve the problem in a heartbeat
vip would be better if both teams had a vip, as it is now it's just camping bs
I wish G1 would give the ability to use secondaries on ladders It wouldn't stop shotgun camping but at least it'd help a little
The fuck happened to those escort missions from the Halloween update? Would solve the problem in a heartbeat
Explain? I never even got any of those so I don't know what they were like.
Explain? I never even got any of those so I don't know what they were like.
One team gets a VIP and the VIP has to go through several stages of "Go to objectives", all of that with lives. You do that, and the last stage is standard VIP, but I think you need less kills to win/less time [editline]6th January 2012[/editline] also being r190 and gold with a two-slotted weapon has it's perks, I accidentally got a mission while doubleclicking ready to get rid of autoready, went AFK to do my thing anyway, came back, found that the opposition had given up
Explain? I never even got any of those so I don't know what they were like.
Basically, one team would have a VIP, and the VIP would have to go and do certain objectives himself. The opposing team would have the VIP marked on their hud, but would not know where they were going. No way to camp.
the only good endgame is takeouts. [editline]6th January 2012[/editline] escort sounds foolish tbh, that's just the VIP running away. i think both teams should have a VIP. then you're forced to fight.
I wish the vip switched after death. Sucks so bad when the VIP is retarded and/or completely clueless and goes gung ho at the enemy team
Is it ok to edit config files of the game? I've heard something about it becoming restricted.
hey, why not remove the non-sprint running animation completely? There's absolutely no reason for it left whatsoever, I used to think sprint shotguns are bad, but now it's gone over to semi-autos, too, and it's fucking nauseating they ruined two of my favourite guns, the Joker and the FBW, now the place is full of faggots twitching around and warping through all the shots jesus they need to rework movement, BAD
Yeah, what kills me is how people run and they the way they're moving it looks like they're jerking back and forth or rubberbanding. It can make things a real pain in the ass. I don't expect people to stand still and get shot, but at least fix the animations and hitboxes.
if they made going out of sprinting take at least half a second (but not cancelling the shot but queuing it up instead) and reduced it's manouverability I'd fucking love them forever [editline]7th January 2012[/editline] also the FBW-SD is boss, you can get it for half an hour for free as a trial run on Armas [editline]7th January 2012[/editline] also, weapons don't expire mid-session if you have them equipped, my FBW-SD was supposed to expire an hour ago but I still have it
oh nice. I think they should add a sprint meter or something to prevent people from just sprinting all the damn time in a circle and shoot.
Sprint meter would just prevent people from sprinting 100% of the time, they'd keep some of it for combat and would stop using it for simple things like checking the other side of the room. Right now, running feels as pointless as walking in any other game. I found it hard not to sprint all the time in some FPSes in CQB, but I had to do it, because it was getting me killed as I could not start firing the moment I saw enemies because I was sprinting and had a ton of momentum built up instead of carefully advancing and checking corners. In APB, if you sprint, you can fire instantly and the only negative consequence you get is actually beneficial, you can sprint right back into cover, you can run in circles for a 90% chance of evading bullets, and you can close the distance between you and an enemy if you're using a close ranged weapon easily. Sprint meter, some sort of momentum and I'd say impossibility to sprint sideways and backwards, only forwards and diagonally are my suggested fixes for it.
Sprint meter, some sort of momentum and I'd say impossibility to sprint sideways and backwards, only forwards and diagonally are my suggested fixes for it.
I strongly disagree with the idea of a sprint meter. It's a pain in the ass enough as it is sprinting 200 meters to the objective because there's no cars. Imagine moving at regular speed the entire way... Second is kinda pointless, as your character always faces forward when sprinting anyway, I know what you mean though, you think sprint should only work if the camera faces forward. I'd have to disagree with that as well. [editline]6th January 2012[/editline] If shooting while sprinting is the problem, then why not go for the obvious solution and make it so that sprint cancels shooting? That's much better than ruining sprint.

I played with him a few days ago. He's trapped at green rank for eternity.
So I heard about that armas trials. Who thinks of this horseshit? Well at least it's only 3 hours.
So I heard about that armas trials. Who thinks of this horseshit? Well at least it's only 3 hours.
Better then nothing, it gives you a chance to try before you buy which is nice.
You're all gonna laugh at this. The trial is not 3 hours. It's 30 minutes. 3 hours is for premium only. That said, if you take the gun out and then never unequip it or move instance then you'll be able to use it for as long as you like, until you move to another district. I had the silenced FBW for like 5 hours, haha. [editline]7th January 2012[/editline] Also, this happened! It felt nice, I guess. Fortunately it didn't last long. I decided to play with a bronze newbie for ages, and so now I'm back to safe ol' silver. Being gold is kind of a curse.
so is this game still worth getting into or what i honestly need a damn good timewasting mmo
it handles newbies in a very uncouth manner, so be sure to hook up with a friend or two, even if they're coming into the game fresh as well. you'll be much better off playing with people who can communicate so that, even if you school all the newbies when you first start playing, you won't get wiped the moment you're put against skilled opponents.
