Is this still coming out for PSP? If so how? Homebrew?
Yes, please ready the update on moddb. Homebrew, but I can make a signed version for people who dont hack their psps

With all these cool effects, will it still work on shitty PCs?
With all these cool effects, will it still work on shitty PCs?
Is that a joke question?

Though the psp version will be dumb down quite a bit from what I remember. Still you would have to have a really awful computer to not be able to run a modified quake engine based game.
With all these cool effects, will it still work on shitty PCs?
It will need a computer (and I'm just estimating here), that can run half life 2 alright, You will not need an insanely good computer, unless you can barely run half life 1 on yours, you should be fine. The PSP version will have a PC version as well. So in total I will have 3 releases simultaneously(it's what I am shooting for), A psp and PC version that use the same textures, models, Quake C code, etc., and a PC version that uses our custom engine which has C++, hl1 mdl, dynamic lighting, full single player and multi player, etc.
i tested it on an old laptop and here's what i got conscript, with all the shaders - 17-24 fps hl1, regular without mods - 34-50 fps can't run hl2 - 5-10 fps
I've recently acquired a old, second-hand PC, and I'm gauging its date between 2001 or 2002. I'm going to stick in a new power supply for it as soon as I figure out what type it needs, and an AGP Nvidia 5200 FX. I'm going to use this for performance evaluations on really, really low end computers once I actually have it pieced together. It has a (Socket A) 2.0 GHz AMD Athlon XP CPU, and 512 + 256 MB of SDRAM already. The motherboard itself in it is a ASUS A7N266-VM/AA
So even less map detail that I have to put effort into!
That WOULD be if you were mapping for the PSP version, remember the quake coded version will not feature the entire singleplayer, it will be made up of mostly side story solo/coop maps, along with a bunch of multiplayer game modes due to limitations. It will still be very awesome. PAGE 8 LETS GO
I think perhaps our main character should be named Archibald.
No, Barry is the only good solution. Or Charles.
No, Barry is the only good solution. Or Charles.
But he'd have to be in a wheelchair. Also I wonder if PlanetPhillip might feature us, that would be awesome.
He has to have no arms and legs, not to mention having a third eye that's made out of the souls of all he kills. Oh, and you change it to a fantasy RPG game based in the past.
Barry? Why not jill? or jill sandwich?
Gideon! Or Erik! Just kidding, I'm a narcissist. So, are you guys going to try to accomplish the opening that was originally intended for HL2? The train ride was an entirely different experience in the Beta.

Do you guys think its possible to port the ACTUAL conscript over to the PS Vita?
Do you guys think its possible to port the ACTUAL conscript over to the PS Vita?
Actually, I think it would be.... but none of us have one yet, and I dont have 250 bux sitting around :P
Actually, I think it would be.... but none of us have one yet, and I dont have 250 bux sitting around :P
Not to mention the fact that we don't have hacked signing keys or even CFW for the Vita yet. With the PSP we had CFW and the recently found signing keys (Way to go having a static signing key there Sony!) making it so much easier for a functioning app to be actually ran once it was made.
There was a hello world video, and with the backwards compatability with the psp games, i'm sure people can hack it in no time
I wouldn't count on it completely, after how long it took for CFW to be made for the PS3 Now, on that subject, I wish the PS3 had PSP backward compatibility. Conscript on PS3 via PSP emulation anyone?
i'm thinking of actually getting an GeForce 2 instead or an Radeon 7000 for a video card for my second-hand PC let's party like it's 2000 when GoldSrc mods were at their prime

I want my big project :I
I want my big project :I
message me tonight we will talk about it
Any questions, comments, or concerns about the game? I have another great update planned soon, but I'd like to get more than 1 comment / none for a few days :P
Uh this might be a stupid question, but it's about the engine: Why did you guys create a engine from scratch somewhat based on the GoldSrc engine when you could of just used the GoldSrc or Source? The screenshots look great though, so you were definitely successful.
