Doesn't work the preload fucks up. And I don't want to download at fucking 80kb/s.
Start download, disconnect VPN, download at normal rate. what is black magic?
Saw this on the back of the physical copy. Wasn't expecting that from IGN of all review houses. Very excited to play it.
i don't know if i should buy bf4 or not how much better is it compared to bf3 overall
Toggle magnifier is laser/flashlight toggle key. Maybe you should check settings again??
I'm not changing all my settings to default to single out one key so I can watch for its tooltip, change all settings back in order to play, then default again when another weird tip comes up in other news, only having minor buggies which for all things I'd say is pretty nice. One thing that's bothering me though is the fact that NPCs play bumpercars with you when you're standing in the wrong spots, but that's a classic gaming issue
I realllllly hope they fix loading times soon. It's taken me at least TEN minutes to load a map. Sometimes by the time it loads the match is actually over. It's insane.
What i've derived from playing MP so far they haven't fixed the 1 shot kill bug there's graphical issues with the guns and sometimes everything will just turn white and purple and shitty the snow fortress/prison map is terrible, it's metro v.2 but somehow less organized and more cluster-fucky
the snow fortress/prison map is terrible, it's metro v.2 but somehow less organized and more cluster-fucky
Already sounding like the out-in-front candidate for Battlefield 5's DLC then. If you see smoke grenades being used, let us know if they clear or prevent 3D spotting at all. Really killed Rush for me how they didn't make a difference.

The single player is surprisingly good so far. A little contrived, but definitely enjoyable. Hands down the prettiest game on the market.
The game crashed in the middle of the dam level, now resuming the campaign crashes right when it finishes loading.
Also, the Rex pistol is completely useless now. They for whatever reason though adding a ~200ms delay between when you pull the trigger to having it actually fire was a good idea(it pulls the hammer back and has a huge ass delay and then fires), so unless you're tracking your enemy 100% of the time you're basically going to miss every shot. [editline]29th October 2013[/editline] unless they're running directly at you perhaps.
After seeing footage of Floodzone, I think that is going to be my personal favorite map.
On the South China Sea mission if you die right after [sp]you help Kovic move some debris before shooting down some helis[/sp] the game gets you stuck and you have to restart the mission.
HOW TO RUN BF4 WITHOUT A VPN AFTER DOWNLOADING/PRELOADING Mainly for Europeans:
Step 1: Activate/download BF4 with the vpn procedure explained here (it works flawless) http://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_4/comments/1pbx9o/bf4_best_way_to_get_early_access_using_proxy_all/ Step 2: With Korean VPN working on the background, start origin and launch a campaign game. Step 3: Once you have started a campaign game, alt+tab or alt+enter and turn off your internet/router but DON'T close your BF4 game nor origin. Don't forget to completely turn off your VPN program/connection in your task bar. Step 4: Turn on your internet/router and KEEP PLAYING BF4 campaign IN OFFLINE MODE for at least 5 minutes. Step 5: Go online with origin WHILE BF4 is up and running the campaign. If you had the patience to get this far you've unlocked the BF4 64bit exe. Click on BF4 64bit exe and you will jump straight into battlelog without having to use VPN anymore (your game and Play icon in Origin will appear greyed out but that won't stop you from playing Multiplayer or Singleplayer if you use the 64bit exe). Enjoy.
I'm from the UK and this works for me. I can run the game after downloading it without a VPN with this way.
Do you mean like this:
No, but I fixed it, updated to the latest nVidia beta drivers, Campaign runs smooth as silk on 1080p, Ultra settings, and 4x MSAA
Seems Legit
No, they don't. You can still spot through smoke of any sort and as BF3 did, it turns into "triangle shooting simulator 2013"
Description says you can't spot through them.
Description says you can't spot through them.
The description is wrong. It must be a bug, because you absolutely can. [editline]29th October 2013[/editline] You can spot through bushes as well still
Seems Legit
[t]http://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/wowpedia.org/thumb/6/69/Dunemaul_Ogre_Mage.jpg/250px-Dunemaul_Ogre_Mage.jpg[/t] They've evolved.
on this mission i saw a russian guy out of the level running twoards the level, so i thought "eh whatever" then he finally appeared in the level, then ran off the dam then he kept running. be free, russian man. [IMG_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/wSftv5s.jpg[/IMG_thumb] problem is he glitched my game and now my allies are in constant attack mode. i can't leave this area till he's dead.
i cant even imagine how terrible the trigger of the rex is irl since its russian the pull is probably a mile long and like 30 pounds lol
I understand it's more realistic, but the pistol is literally 100% useless. There is not a single situation in which it will ever beat out basically any other pistol in the game, due to the massive delay between pulling the trigger and it firing. It's just another stat to add to the game for them to say "look, we have THIS many guns!" even if half of them are entirely useless against the others.
Where's the best place to get this?

Just finished singleplayer. [sp]Pretty quick ending, eh? Really abrupt and a poorly "you choose" pushed into it? if you were stupid enough to click this but don't want spoilers, don't click the next one[/sp] [sp]But um... Dima seemed shoved in, too. Then especially the ending "I'll show my face and they'll be happy :)", which firstly, the Chinese didn't come in guns blazing first of all. Then they were happy. [/sp] Also: Have a problem with the quality? Bring it up with the Romanians. Looks like their whole country was the playtesters
Played singleplayer for 4 hours before hitting a crash bug that it seems several other people are experiencing. Hopefully it gets fixed quickly. Thoughts so far: Pretty enjoyable actually. I still feel like the people who write these stories are somehow making scenarios seem ridiculous while at the same time taking itself far too seriously but the actual gameplay is more enjoyable than about any part of BF3. Being able to modify your loadout actually adds more to the experience than one would imagine and for a genre that has kind of stagnated this generation, it's cool to be able to go from a rushing guy with a shotgun to a sniper on the fly with both playstyles being actually fun to play and well supported by the map design. On the negative side, other than the occasionally cringeworthy dialogue, my other complaints would be buggy gameplay and absurd suppression. The former is actually kind of shocking really. Battlefield games tend to always launch with their fair share of glitches but across just 4 hours I found numerous bugs and oddities. Model clipping, broken dialogue, weapons disappearing, enemies clipping into the level geometry, etc. As for the suppression, it's a relatively minor complaint but every once in awhile you just grow tired of your screen constantly jittering because you are being shot by more than 3 people at once. Really don't see why they felt the need to include this "feature" but it doesn't necessarily ruin the game. What I would like to see in the future: Some damn air missions where you actually get to fly something, and actual squad commands. I'm not asking for Full Spectrum Warrior, but something more akin to Brothers in Arms where I can put my squad in cover, tell them to suppress a target, or use equipment like grenades or RPG's. Also, while not every mission needs to be a pseudo-sandbox, they have so far been the most enjoyable parts of the BF4 campaign so I'd like to see more of those. Overall happy with it so far, glitches aside. Writing and plot overall is hamfisted, but no more than most shooters that come out these days, and it's atleast not making me constantly shake my head or smile in bemusement like the ridiculous BF3 singleplayer did.
The singleplayer was utter garbage in my opinion. Considering you have to play it just to get some of the multiplayer weapons is pretty dumb too.
Note that when I say enjoyable I mean as far as shooters releasing in 2013 go. It ain't no Deus Ex to be sure, but I'm having fun with it.

I would love a battlefield game where you could command your ai squad mates like you would in brothers in arms. Considering the return of commander mode, I would have thought something like that would get in. Unless it is in. I haven't tried launching it past my first attempt where it was saying that I wasn't synced with the cloud.
Battlefield 3's story wasn't very good either, but it had some amazing moments. That's what made it far more enjoyable for me, especially the HALO jump with the theme playing.
